Patrick describes Kurt as very kind and very funny. A great dad & Courtney was a great mom. Patrick saw a lot of hope for Kurt's future & the family's future.
He became aware in Jan 94 of the discord + things changing. He says that Kurt began talking of leaving, Kurt seemed normal but stressed. He also maintains that Kurt never seemed depressed or su!cidal.

Loved this interview! Patrick comes thru as a genuine “come as you are” kinda person! Also, he didn’t trash talk anyone, not even her, really. I can see why Kurt hang out with him! I would too 👍
Thanks all
Glad you enjoyed it!
I agree. Patrick seems like a cool guy! No wonder he and Kurt were friends
Great work Michelle & gang!! Patrick seems like a really nice dude and I’m happy he’s finally getting his music out there! Thank you Patrick, for your interview. (Fellow Michigander over here 👋🏻 ) Thank you so much for sharing all the cool stories about Kurt. ❤❤❤ It means a lot to us kurt fans.
I can totally see Kurt and Patrick kicking back and vibing. Great video, looking forward to part 2 🙏🏽
Patrick is such a wonderful storyteller and a genuinely lovely person! I could listen to him for hours and hours really. I’m very much looking forward to more talks with him! Thank you Patrick and Michelle!
Lovin’ these stories! What a great hang!
100 (Big) Stars for the shirt alone, dude!! ⭐🌟⭐🌟⭐
I just asked
I am not a Nirvana or Kurt Cobain ‘fan’, like so many of your dedicated viewers are. I do like some of their music but mostly I appreciate Kurt as an artist and an individual. I’ve been obsessed with this case since 2014/15. I had a dream about Kurt last night, it was so vivid. It was like he was still alive, it felt so real. This whole time I’ve looked at him from the outside as a spectator, but in the dream I saw him as a real person in real time, to the extent one can when it’s a dream. I saw all the things Kurt could’ve done, could’ve been, the agency he would’ve have on the world stage. Words can’t describe what it was like to wake up and realise the gravity of tragically cutting down such a powerhouse artist who influenced the world in every way. He would’ve been a grandfather now. Film, music, fashion, culture, beauty standards, society, social media, media in general, everything would’ve been different if Kurt and other artists’ lives weren’t cut down. It’s not enough to think of the cutting down of the physical life, but the far reaching ramifications over decades and on a global scale in every area of culture and the arts. It makes me want justice for Kurt even more.
Hey I had a dream about Kurt too. It was so real!! We were driving in an old Chevy pickup truck like a '67, it was faded blue and pretty beat up. Kurt was driving and out of control 😂 up this mountain in presumably Washington State I guess. A bunch of switch backs on gravel road. He was driving waaaay to fast of course, we skidded several times, but I wasn't gonna say anything bc it's Kurt freaking Cobain😂 then he lost control and we ended up balanced precariously on a mountain side. I'm expecting we are gonna die. The truck was caught by this massive entanglement of thick brush. We climbed out, I looked at Kurt and he looked at me. Neither of us said a word then we started walking. To where? I don't know. When we walked his long blonde hair fell in his face and oh yeh he was wearing a beat up blue flannel shirt that matched the paint on the truck😂. BTW I usually don't remember my dreams.
@@bobgilbert3436 this is cracking me up because, supposedly, Kurt was kind of a granny driver 😆. It’s an interesting dream to analyze. Maybe it was your mind trying to understand how he lost control of his life? But the walking part…that is so interesting! What do you think it means? It seems that vivid dreams about him are really common, but I haven’t experienced that. His energetic footprint on this planet was so powerful. Bigfoot! 😆
@@Wheeeeeeeeee-e2i I don't know for sure. I guess our dreams are manifestations of our true thoughts so maybe he was a guy I wanted to hang out with? (I listen to a lot of NIRVANA so probably went to sleep with a song in my head) Who wouldn't want to hang with Kurt 😂 but the walking part maybe that's how we both dealt with trouble is just moving on. Not getting excited, just moving on. Doing what we had to do. I didn't know he was a granny driver 😂 that makes it even better 🤣
Well said sir
@@bobgilbert3436I think allot of us have had Kurt visit our dreams it’s the reason I got into this plus living in seattle
Great great interview. Patrick sounds like one of the nicest and coolest guys there are. 😎
Such a great interview
Listening now to the VOODOO QUEENS album and I'm loving it. Patrick, you and Kurt had amazing tastes, it was through Kurt's interviews and best of lists that I got into The Pixies, The Breeders and heard of bands like Shonen Knife back when I was in High School.
Loved the interview! The calmness in his voice and soft spoken timbre reminds me a lot of Kurt. In the interview that Kurt gave in 93 (I think) he talks about the electronic type music and going that direction. It doesn’t surprise me he was attracted to that band.
Excellent conversation, I really enjoyed it. Greetings from Samos, Greece and justice for Kurt!
I enjoyed this interview! It really strikes me as I watch NIRVANA live shows from late 93 and early 94 - Kurt is into the music, having fun, talking to fans, I'm not seeing the depression. I didnt expect to hear you guys talk about John Lennon, Revolver, Dr Robert - very nice. I'm a John Lennon fan as well. It seems as though John and Kurt were both snarky geniuses if i could say it that way. I appreciate their saying / singing things thst weren't always popular.
@@bobgilbert3436 I totally agree! They both had such a unique take on life and both gone way too soon in such tragic ways.
Thank you for this interview and personal take on kurt as a friend and person. Always love your content
Thanks Patrick and Michelle great interview 🎉
Awesome interview excited to hear more,!!!
all patricks information about certain gigs and specifics all checks out, he is legit.
I'm getting more and more convinced that most of what we have been told about Kurt might not be true.. 😑 Keep the interviews coming, they're awesome!
Im sure trump is going to get the fbi and cia to find elvis, tupac, and kurts hideout in Cuba The album they make is either goong to be great or so bad that it gets weaponized
Bruh is really on, yeah he really takes me back, this is how we were. I am left handed and tried to play, I just tried to play left or right but gave up and got into something else. Spiritually, I never left " Our" cause and 'Our" music! 90's lives, Kurt lives thru. the music forever, he knew this..
Great interview by the way! Thanks Michelle 💜
@@Eric777-r1h Thank you so much!
Great insights. Kurt was right when he said don't believe everything you read.
Seems like such a chill dude I’d want as my Neighbor
Mike McCready is amazing especially his live solos. They’re always so very different
Thank you so much Patrick and Michelle! This was such an enjoyable listen and Patrick gives a genuine, Zen sort of vibe too😀 Think this is easily my favourite interview thus far -laid back, heartfelt, moving and engaging. There are no drum samples on Nevermind. There were triggers on the kick and snare, but for the purpose of creating a clean reverb. Andy Wallace explains this in his Mix with the Masters series. Cheers.
@@RIOTEARTH I stand corrected, it must have been the triggers I was thinking about. Thank you for your comment
@@soundpropellerpatrick113 No problem. Thanks for sharing your stories.
Andy Wallace used kick and snare samples for Dave's drums that's why they sound so big. Wallace uses the same kick and snare samples on Grace by Jeff Buckley and many other albums.
Also Grohl only wrote drums for Teen Spirit, Come As You Are, Territorial Pissings, Lounge Act, On A Plain, and Something In The Way for Nevermind.
Chad Channing wrote ALL the drum parts for these songs:
In Bloom
Breed
Lithium
Polly (2 crashes on the album are Chad from previous nevermind recording)
Stay Away
Drain You drums were written by Melvins drummer Dale Crover. He explains this in his interview with Daniel Sarkissian

Yes,! Do you know that I got banned on Reddit in the Nirvana room for replying to a post that some kid wrote, he asked, “if you were alive back then, how did you feel about Kurt’s Sui***e?” I said, “Sui***e!!! You mean murdrr!! “ then I got a banned message! Is Courtney running the room?

Excelente video thanks for your work Michelle you are Brilliant !
Kurt was very nice, Courtney was always a nightmare, they were NOTHING alike. I worked catering 1992/93 and they were staying in a home in the Hollywood Hills. Only nice thing about Courtney she tipped us well.
Their house in LA had a flood, didn't it?
@@Bea-zt1pg I dont know if it did or not. We only worked catering events from Geffen. I remember that the house looked like a Chinese fast food place and there was a carved wood looking buddha thing right after you came through the front door. Had to take an elevator to get to the front door. Was in the Hollywood Hills overlooking the Hollywood Bowl.
@@David-u6v6u I'm surprised she tipped you guys well. She must have been in a good mood that day!
@@David-u6v6u But while you worked for them, was the atmosphere in the house always terrible?
@@Bea-zt1pg No she was always loud he was quiet and shy most of the time. We worked parties so the mood was more "party" like. I do remember is mother was there during one of the events.
Nirvana did play japan in February 92
I relate to his guitar dilemma lol I play left and right.

When Kurt Bloch's name comes up I always think of the band WOOL - however, that was Al Bloch, his brother. Box Set is a great record anyway (in case you haven't heard it).
@@invade81 I have to admit, I had no idea Kurt Bloch had a brother! Totally going to check that out.
I loved Wool!
@ Great band. Not long for this world!
People that aren’t Gen X do not understand that lots of Kurt’s lyrics were very sarcastic.
Does he still have the demo tape Kurt gave him???
Oh yeah, I definitely still do! But that said, those mixes can be found online (on UA-cam even). But yeah, I definitely kept that tape!
@ awesome 👏. Thanks for the response
Never a Pearl Jam guy besides one or two songs but did appreciate Mike Mcreedys playing. I think the Mad Season stuff with Layne, Baker, and Barrett Martin was amazing!
How could Kurt respect her? God, he was totally blind. She never hid who she was from him, and even then, he was a fool.
Easy to say that in hindsight. There were obviously multiple factors. Also, you weren't him. You don't know how he felt.
@CharlotteHill-n1g Love is blind
There have been numerous people that have stated over the years that Kurt was immediately attracted to her. I'm sure that the relationship was exciting for him in some aspects.
She is a psychopath and in true style, she was manipulative and psychologically abusive. If you look into this type of individual, you’ll realise she was and is basically textbook. You’ll also see why it’s always the brightest that are targeted: Because it’s a challenge. For all we are are pawns in their game. The lack of conscience also helps; this is why most serial killers continue to kill.
@@WhoKilledKurtOrgIt's just something I can't understand. My deceased cousin had an abusive husband, and he showed who he was to everyone, except her.
Courtney made it very clear in the interview that she only wanted him for the money, she didn't even hide it, and he didn't even care.
How did he love someone like her? He knew she stalked and beat people. Maybe Kurt wasn't such a nice person.
He didn't care when she spoke badly about his ex-girlfriends, he didn't feel empathy when she broke a glass over another's head.
He also didn't mind when she brought minors home and gave them drugs. Fuck, he let a young drug addict take care of his own daughter.
Thats funny I saw Elvis in 77 and Kiss in 77,I was 13,also I was a deadhead in the 80s play my own music and played the Moon cafe/club, 6 months before Nirvana came to the moon in New Haven, CT. Didn't get to see them, was in San Francisco by then. Anyway, great show, thank you

I'm torn because on the one hand, in his own words in interviews, he talks about being depressed. How his parents divorce really deeply affected him, etc. Some ppl such as myself, don't tell ppl how depressed we've been or talk about it to anyone. Including family or a partner. There's a sense of embarrassment for some to be that vulnerable. He was finding himself in the same situation with his daughter as he was in with his parents when things fell apart. I also have personal experience with an ex who got into drugs and would threaten suicide to me but deny it when I'd tell his mom because I was worried about him doing it. His friends couldn't believe he was being so crazy to me so even close friends can be in the dark about what's going on deep within a person. Lots of ppl make split second decisions to harm themselves. Especially under the influence and things falling apart in their private life. That's not new. On the other hand, there are lots of ppl not telling the truth and definitely some evidence to show that something could have happened to him that wasn't by his own hand. I have to see it from all sides. I also understand friends taking off or not talking because some of them probably had mixed feelings about what may have happened, especially if they didn't see him depressed and why would you talk if you thought your friend was killed? Most ppl would be scared to be next.
Thank you for your comment and I’m sorry you went through that. It is a complex case but the facts speak for themselves. We’re reviewing every aspect in turn and on each occasion, find everything points to homicide. The reason why it’s taken so long to get to this point is because we’re the first group to actually approach SPD in 30 years.
@thacryinggame I have no doubt he loved his child. So have other's who have committed suicide. They didn't all hate their kid's. That's not what I'm looking at. Just looking at things with an open mind. I do believe something sinister happened but I also have to be open minded. I have followed this for years and am hoping the case gets reopened simply because of the evidence that does cast doubt.
@WhoKilledKurtOrg I too have always felt that way and have followed this for years. It's just in my nature to look at everything objectively. I have always felt he was murdered.
It's extremely important to look at the evidence from an unbiased viewpoint. I have different views than a lot of others on many points surrounding this case. -Lisa
@WhoKilledKurtOrg That's the only way to truly investigate something. You seem incredibly knowledgeable, and I subscribed for that reason. You are good at presenting facts and also having tests done to prove or disprove events, and I respect that. Let's get this case reopened 🙏

@@Kid-viciousx How do you know he didn’t know Kurt? Another comment just pretending to be clever to get on another one of these channels.
@ Everything aspect of Kurt’s life has been extensively researched and documented, sites like “LiveNirvana” are completely reliable and list damn near every single person that Kurt ever met, let alone was friends with but somehow none of these “friends” have any proof that they ever even knew him and NO one has ever heard of them. I know you love Kurt (so do I!) and it you want to believe that he was killed cause it’s easier than admitting that he killed himself, but you can’t believe every random person that says he was friends with him just to help further your own beliefs.
You sure make a ton of assumptions based off of very little information and have absolutely no proof to support what you're spouting. We vet everyone that we interview thoroughly. This is about finding the truth of what happened and we don't just throw anyone on camera. It's also important to note that nobody that you see on our channel is being paid to tell us their experiences and personal memories. Patrick has shown us plenty of proof of his friendship with Kurt. It's his choice rather he wants to show that proof to the public. If I were him I wouldn't be concerned with proving anything to people like you either. Jealousy truly is an ugly monster.
