Wonderful video! I was looking for something to help me lace my shoes - I am very overweight and need to walk to lose weight, but my feet swell and I suspect my arches are falling, as I get quite a bit of pain. I'm starting to get diabetic neuropathy (hence the need to lose weight!) and I know that having proper fitting shoes will go a long way to keeping my feet healthy. My state's Medicaid (Arizona) doesn't cover podiatry, so it's important to me to keep them as healthy as possible! Thank you for showing me some ways to do that, and good luck with your channel!
Hi Iris Firstly congratulations on taking steps to improve your health, that is fantastic. I hope you are still doing well. With regards to your foot pain I have a couple suggestions that I got from my doctor, who is an avid hiking and runner, back when I was starting my weight loss. 1. After a walk elevate your feet, if you can lie down flat on the floor and put your legs up against the wall, this is to drain the feet and legs of fluid. It’ll ease the pressure on the joints. I was recommended to start with 5 minutes but it can be up to 15 minutes if you are able. 2. Compression socks, if you have any wear them! On your walk and after. The compression helps the fluid away from your feet and joints and makes recovery easier. It will also help you on a day to day basis with your legs and feet not feeling as tired. Use compression socks that go up to your knees. 3. I was recommended doing shorter walks more often beginning and then increase the duration as to not over work my legs and feet by walking too much in one go. I don’t know if any of this is relevant to you but I thought I would share anyway. Have a wonderful day😊☀️
My feet that when wet leave flat foot marks on the pavement because I'm flat-footed need to be laced with high arches because I have high arches... in my flat-footed or do I have high arches? Both... I suspect my cuneiforms (especially the medial and intermedial) are simply fatter bones than most people's... this give me a low arc on bottom and a high instep on top. Lacing such that it helps causes odd wear and tear on my shoes. The gap of no lacing is so big that on either end (where across the foot lacing begins again) tends to pull too hard at the lacing holes, eventually cutting through them... so while it's saving my feet, it's destroying my shoes, and costing a lot of money... do they make shoes for someone in my situation? How about trade specific shoes like say lineman boots? Standard pairs are only about $400 a pair... (I'm speaking in literary devices when I say "only"... 400 isn't cheap to me either)...
Finally found some useful video I was aging while searching it I used to always get toe pain while playing with basketball shoes soo thankful
