Imagine being one of those thousands upon thousands of people who live in these apartments in the centre of these massive blocks with no windows whatsoever. What a life that must be.
Imagine if he built a nightclub on top of one of those skyscrapers with the flashing lights from the concerts dlc, or a stadium built into a superblock, that would be amazing :)
I love this ultra high density designs, and Avalon is looking absolutely stunning! I got say, as an architect, that would be a nightmare to ensure things like sunlight and proper ventilation in the individual residential units you have built in this episode! That being said, since you're going more for this Blade Runner distopian vibe, I guess the urban planners of Avalon coudn't care less! Keep up the great work... This is my favorite CS series right now!
@@eshwarkumar8138 barely any sunlight, basically no vegetation and its not very clean. it is absolutely cyberpunk and cyberpunk is all about "what if the future wont solve any of our problems and will just ignore them" (in a nutshell)
I love this it's so perfectly build , also it is like a extremly good concept , because if its always very cold(not to use °F or °C) you wouldn't always want to go out and dress up for cold cold winter you just want to be able to run to the store and return or get somewhere else with the train, LOVE ... IT
I can't imagine how the building regulations in this city would work other than them being non-existent. It's almost like Kowloon City, but it works and I have no idea how lmao
May i suggest making some elevated rail sections go _through_ buildings instead of in between them? This is actually not that uncommon in cities and would be especially fitting in such a dense/cyberpunk city as avalon. Love the series! :)
Wow. Every time I watch this series now it's like you're a mad scientist the way you experiment with meshing all these different types of buildings together. The results are so weird but also so cool and interesting. I love the look of Avalon. It's unlike anything else I've seen in a city building game.
I think some more pedestrian bridges over the streets connecting those residential zones would be nice. Because Imagine leaving at that train station and you have to go all the way down and across the street and the up to your apartment again.
This was an awesome build, the Metro is definitely coming along, and as soon as you get some lines going they're gonna be used a lot. Also, I noticed that you don't seem to have that much parking (only on the roads?) and a simple fix IMO would be to clip some parking garages away into the blocks where they are hidden (I think that most areas like this would have a ton of underground parking) Just wondering, how would the whole super-dense block of buildings actually work? Is that a thing in real life? Because each building seems to have its own style and they are all sort of one big thing. Would the block have been built all at once or were there additions to it over time? Just something to wonder about I guess haha.
Distanced I think the real world version of this would have been designed with many originally smaller buildings that were made with a similar colour style or popular theme at the time of construction. Over the course of decades, they grew and eventually more was added onto them and the old plaza in the centre was turned into a metro line so that the few especially big buildings didn’t have too much foot traffic coming through the front door every day. They joined up during the block renovation, and much like the rest of the city is extremely dense this block was made the same. The city needs the housing, and there’s profit to be made.
Top notch bro. Your videos helped me through anxiety and depression. Love the talk overs and the production of your intro is on point. Can you make the videos a little longer though if that’s cool? Much love brother. Peace from Australia.
It looks gorgeous, but it doesn't look all that residential. It would be cool to add some public facilities, like parks, playgrounds, schools, etc., tucked into various nooks and crannies, or up on the roofs of the buildings. Also, you may want to consider adding light wells to the interior of the blocks to increase the number of units with windows.
That would be great indeed but I think the explanation is that these facilities are inside the buildings. Like in Whittier Alaska where there's a one building town with public facilities and appartments.
At 3:45 the buildings that you chose work so well together!! I love the way it creates layers of housing like the city just kept adding apartments on top of each other. Can't wait for the next episode!!
Это действительно нереально!!! Такого в мире нет ещё нигде, а вы это создаёте уже сейчас! Это выглядит очень футористично, ну и качество исполнения как обычно на высоте!
Love the big super blocks. Just want to remind you of putting schools in. I think it would be realistic if each block at least had its own primary school inside and obviously your city needs educated people for all those offices to work. Also you might want to add a lot of fire stations as 1 building on fire in those blocks almost instantly would spread to the other 100 buildings in the block needing a ton of fire trucks. And for all those saying it’s unrealistic to have so massive buildings blocks without windows, I think it wouldn’t be unreasonable to say that there were big open spaces inside with plants and stuff, like in big modern malls and then obviously there is no natural lighting but in a future setting like this and a place where the environment kinda sucks with constant winter and snow, who cares...
The ultra-dense blocks you're building around the elevated metro stations feel kinda like miniature arcologies. You could probably spend years in those things without ever having to go outside.
Your block design almost reminds me of Spanish super blocks, where theyre a 3 by 3 grid of small blocks but where only local traffic can go into the small inner roads
Dont get me wrong or anything I love your designs and all your projects, but I really think the apartments overlapping is a little overload like when you look at it in a birds view perspective you can see all the different roofs and it doesn’t look realistic, but I love your projects and everything, keep it up 👍
Jeez, he makes me feel terrible at the game. I only play the vanilla game with no mods or assets (at least right now) and seeing these beautiful constructions in Avalon and FBS Airport is really impressive. I would go crazy before putting that much effort into... anything really. Wow. That's the only thing to say really. Great work man, keep it up.

Avalon looks wonderful Flux. This city seems prime for a Skyway system like in Minneapolis. I wonder if there's any mods in the Workshop for enclosed walking paths. You could clip them into buildings much like roads. With Avalon being a cold weather city with such high density and a desire to keep people out of cars and off the roads, a skyway system would be appropriate. Just a thought. Here's a link to the Minneapolis Skyline info: www.minneapolis.org/map-transportation/minneapolis-skyway-guide/
the residential block themselves are very nice, and in Asia there are many super residential blocks like that. however, you will not have residential units facing the train rails, because that's a huge safety hazard. in some of the densest places, you would have a light rail train station build inside the building, and the train station is never exposed. then you will have train rails coming out from the sides of the building, and that way you can prevent safety hazards. there are two main safety hazards when you have residential units facing rails. first you might have kids or drunk adults who jump on to the rails by accidents, secondly, you could have residents throw unwanted items onto the rail, and cost garbage pile up on the rails, and that will be a big safety concern to the trains running on the tracks.
Really like what you're going for in this video man ! This almost seems like a neighbourhood out of Blade Runner. Maybe my only ''grievance'' is that there is only one track, which makes it a bit odd considering the height and amount of buildings, it seems like a real hub more than a simple one track station don't you think?
I really love this series, but I can't really grasp how it's supposed to be realistic with so many appartments without any windows. The clipping looks great from the front, but you need to let the lower levels have windows to the back aswell.
Honestly, when you build those blocks with many buildings, it just look like a big jumble mess. After you finished, it's still a bid mess, but it got style.
Man, you’re an awesome builder, your work is incredible! But if you are not looking for the idea of a really over populated distant future, you clipped a little too much there. What you did looks like a nice Kowloon pair of blocks. A building should not be massive like an entire block so people can have access to sunlight and ventilation. That's right, Flux, my idea is this: near the outskirts, I think we need to see a few of some sort of quarantined city blocks. Darker, grayer buildings, moss growing here and there, maybe even some broken lights and grass coming through cracks of the pavement. This "old downtown" area could be named Gehenna, which dictionary.com's 3rd definition refers to as "any place of extreme torment or suffering," which is quite brutalist indeed (quite the opposite of what "avalon" means). Not really sure if you want to take *THAT* kind of road in this project, but I think that would be SO neat. I would say it's essentially Rapture from Bioshock, however without the water and aquamarine vibes, as opposed to the lower San Diego (from Blade Runner 2049) as I originally thought would be cool to add in. Totally up to you, Flux. Absolutely loving this series BTW. It's by far my favorite! Keep it up, my friend :)

Hey look, that’s me!
So basically russia?
Not really notting
just an idea...TV's for windows.
Avalon looks great during the day but it's insanely beautiful at night.
Can't wait to see how the suburban sprawl pushes up against the mountains. The picturesque locale reminds me of Salt Lake City.
everytime i see the great cinematics im impressed how big the blocks are when the camera zooms out you see how small the city is really

JustJay it is he did a lot towards the beginning of Avalon
It seems like the Kowloon Walled City in Hong Kong
I was thinking of that too
That's exactly what I was thinking.
Just looked it up, omg its beautiful yet chaotic
But more modern
Pretty sure that it’s a 1:10 ratio for people in game and irl people. So 3,000 people in a single block would be 30,000.
“Can you tell me how to get to your apartment?”
“Uhhhh, why don’t I meet you outside.” 😆

this is so much like Japan, you rarely have to walk outside in high density areas because everything you need to do can be done in the train station
9:00 so you can go to the station without leaving the apartment, I never thought of something like this, but this is cool
Beautiful city...

the city needs more construction cranes on top of buildings to give the idea that the city is continuously being expanded into these 'superblocks'

I love the synthwave music
This is so cool man! Great job!
For some reason the only thing that comes to my mind when I watch this city take shape is: *_Suicide Rates..._*
so true lmao theres literally one park in all of downtown
And it's underneath a intersection
I C A R U S they are a good amount of tall buildings
Fun fact in cold climates blue lights increase suicide rates!!!
I don't know, it looks really cool, if you want trees and whatnot just go see the forests and mountains outside of the city you know ?
How about building a sky plaza on one of the elevated metro stations? I did see one actually exist in China.

Rooftop farms in those hyper-dense residences.
You should build a massive car lot in the next episode.
that massives looks crazy omg xD idk how it s possible to build irl xD
That valley near downtown would be a prime site for a luxury real state area 16:40

I like it. But I think you should add more lights around the track itself. It would look cooler.
This build is amazing
I would watch more videos of you building the road systems.
3-4000 people ina single block. Jesus. Imagine working at one of those commercial outlets. It would be awful.
Have you thought about putting in some rooftop plazas and gardens in the larger residential blocks?
'cause without a hollow space like that the interior of the blocks would be a hellish place to live
Above the train station you should connect the two buildings at the top it would look much better
Literally Kowloon Walled City but not dirty version
Hi flux, love the series. Whats your fps when playing? whenever i do detailed builds my fps dies and i was wondering if you had any tips to stop that.
