that is one fine looking pistol. It is the last of my my 22 bucket list. Have a Hamden High Standard , Smith 41, just need to add one of these. Thanks for the video.
I always love seeing the results and most of the time I shoot the cheaper stuff and it always does good for me! Toppy is a good fella for sure!
Peace, David
Thanks.
One of the greats of .22 pistols. Nice shooting Shep.
Thanks.

You`re welcome. And thanks. The channel is doing better than I ever expected.
I never expected the channel to get a million views, let alone 2.7 million.
that is awesome mr shep keeper going my friend toppy
Nice shooter, the one I'm shooting has a homemade weight also,so almost no recoil.
Good video Shep i like the colt woodsman series pistols
Thanks.
NICE gun Shep - I wanted to get the Colt Woodsman series back in the day, but was too busy buying Colt 1911s. And the grip angle didn't do anything for my 1911 shooting (got the 41 instead for that reason). But I did get the Ruger Target Model 22, as it was a lot higher value at the time. Then Colt stopped making the W series.
I love the Woodsman pistols, but I agree about the grip angle. The model 41 or the High Standard Victor sets in my hand a lot better.
Great video. I have the Colt Woodsman Match Target pistols in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd series. All are fine shooters. The first series shoots best with CCI standard velocity ammo. The 2nd and 3rd series shoot great with all types of bulk stuff. Those old Colts are fine shooters and can easily be put in a class with my 41 Smith. (Or would you say that the Smith 41 is in a class with them???) Thanks for the video.
All of them shoot much better than I can hold them. But I do like the grip angle of the model 41 a little better than the Woodsman.
Nice shooting Shep!
Thanks.
yes sir i know my mossberg plinkster does not function well with Winchester anything .fed bulk pack cci .remington work fine aguilla .22 ammo.nice pistol
Every gun has its own preferences.
nice
Thanks.
It pays to test your 22lr for accuracy, with different ammo. Now if 22lr was more plentiful , that would be great. Thanks for sharing Shep.
I`ve been seeing more 22 available the last few weeks. But it still has a long way to go to get back to pre shortage supplies.
I've seen them at gunshows, want one but they're high as a cat's back.
This one cost me $500 15 years ago. Would probably bring twice that price today.
I saw some at the last gun show. They were from Abbeville and were selling for $900.+. I have always admired the Colt Woodsman and High Standard style but chose the Ruger for the price.
TwoFeatherChannel These days anything that says Colt on it brings pretty high prices
My 1947 2nd gen. shoots quite a bit better than that. They are really nice pistols for sure and squirrel killing machines to boot.
That's a nice gun. If you find one today its pricey!!!!!
It wasn`t cheap when I got 15 years ago. $500 back then. Probably at least twice that today.
ES UNA HERMOSISIMA PISTOLA PERO ''''''''''''''' LA SIGUEN FABRICANDO?????Y DONDE SE PUEDE CONSEGUIR EN QUE PAIS Y A QUE PRECIO POR FAVOR CONTESTENMEN PORQUE YO ESTOY INTERESADOOOOOOOO
:)
Thanks.
I am not Impressed with the Eley shells we had them at work for $9.98 a box of 50. They were the Eley club I won't pay that much for them anymore.
The Eley Target shot pretty good in the Kimber 82 rifle. But it hasn`t done very well in most of the pistols I`ve tried it in
