  • All the dirty work is done. It's time to put some paint on and polish the hulls.
We cruise extensively along the East Australian Coast on our 13 meter catamaran. Join us as we explore new cruising grounds, cross bars, fix all kinds of problems, ride out rough weather and live aboard for extended periods.
We even have a playlist that gets us on other peoples boats.
We hope that our videos encourage others to get on board and experience this fantastic lifestyle.

Hey Norm. Love your videos and this one has motivated hubby and I to do the antifouling and polishing ourselves. I would be interested in knowing how much Altex No.5 you used for your boat? Am doing the costings and this would certainly help.

Hi Pat. I used 10lts which gave 2 good coats. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the hardstand.

Just wait till they lift it Frank. Rub back and roll.
It's dry before she splashes and never had problems with those spots.

No sorry dude. The hull mould was destroyed and I built the rest out of my head.

It looks nice and smooth, often I see boats for sale with a lovely coat of black covering a not so lovely surface , which says to me corners were cut , which says to me what other corners have been cut. One might say you can tell how well looked after she is by her bottom !

What are your thoughts on applying to rudders?

Anti foul works nearly as well and if I just do props can use a small pack and get good coverage.
      I'm a tight arse dude.

Question. I’ve watched a few of these videos, Is 2 engines better than 1. I’ve spoken to a number of people and they say always 2 as 1 engine can be the limp home motor, whereas other say 1 engine reduces cost, maintenance and fuel and if you look after your motor it is highly unlikely to fail you. Cheers

Both good thoughts dude. I'd say if you have some mecho smarts, one will do. If not a good idea to have redundancy with two.

Two is one. One is none as the US Navy used to say.

The how to Vids are great. The hard stand stuff is a good reminder of what it’s all about. It ain’t all Coral trout and Sundowners 😊
