    Always great viewing and Norm your life is certainly one of adventure away from land.
    How do you manage to get your crew ? You always put a smile on my dial with the ongoing adventures and balancing cruising, anchoring, cooking and ‘coffee’ stops!
    Enjoy mate!

    As you said a long day. Would you suggest a stop over in Mooloolaba or is that too far from the Wide Bay Bar? Weather and tides permitting.

    • @MotorSailingforOldDudes
      @MotorSailingforOldDudes  8 місяців тому +1

      Yep Mooloolaba is OK to shorten trip. Only problem is, it's a bit hard to get a berth in the marina and the duck pond can be crowded.
      I'll probably visit when heading south.

    Hi Norm
    What kind or type of boat is that?

  • @SuperBlueroo
    @SuperBlueroo 2 місяці тому

    Shame to hear the motor always running in the background might as well take that sail down

    • @MotorSailingforOldDudes
      @MotorSailingforOldDudes  2 місяці тому

      Yep would be good to just sail, but she was never designed as a sailboat, just modified. The sail saves fuel and makes it more comfortable, so I use it.
      Next Sunday I help deliver a real sailboat down south and guess what, the motor runs for half the trip.

      Yeah I do Dude. I only lifted it off the bottom and we drifted 20m from the boat.
      It would help if the pots were marked with bigger brighter buoys.
      Then I wouldn't have anchored near it.

      Few exhibit the professional seamanship skills and etiquette as Norm so perhaps consider that in balance if you are able. Other half here.

      @@bjreynolds24 you’re lucky Norm even provided a response…..try a bigger and more popular channel and see where those comments get you.
      Try keeping a civil tongue in your mouth or consider that if you wouldn’t share your opinions to someone face to face, then don’t share those same opinions behind the anonymity of a keyboard.
      If you’ve subscribed to this channel, is it not due to your appreciation of Norms fine seamanship?
