Hello. I would like to make a Mod with this watch, but I have some doubts. I am used to making Mods with other watch models as you can see on my channel. You explain the disassembly very well, but is there any problem after placing the glass, when placing the bezel??? Could you specify the size of the dial? all the best.
Sorry, I don't completely understand your question. The glass and retaining ring are one piece and the bezel goes right over it while the shroud keeps it in place. I can measure the dial the next time I get a chance. I plan to change the dial, chapter ring, and hands to make it look very similar to the real Emperor Tuna. I also plan to coat the case and shroud as well.
@yellowthunder92 I'm sorry I can't express myself more clearly, since I'm from Spain and I have to use the translator.☺️ My only two doubts are: - Disassembling the watch case according to your video seems easy, but is reassembling everything just as easy? - Does the Tuna Emperador case accept a 28.5mm dial? Could you record a video when you make your Mod to an original emperor prickly pear to see the process and the result??😁 My idea is to place a gmt NH34 caliber and put the dial and hands of the citizen promaster aqualand BN2024-05E model. Thank you very much for answering my questions, I am happy to exchange opinions with you and I hope you answer me and we continue to clarify doubts. all the best.
@@BushCampingTools still in pieces. I still need to find the time to Cerakote which shouldn’t take me long, and I’ve been trying to source watch parts to make a split stem for the crown to make it easier to service the watch. It’s been challenging to find since there are so few watches that have a split stem.
Great video and information, thank you! Im looking to change the dial on this watch, would i have to buy a new chapter ring too, or could I reuse the existing? Thanks in advance.
I haven't tried to separate the chapter ring from the dial, so I can't tell you. What I planned to do was use a different chapter ring of my choice and use dial dots to secure the ring to the dial.
Lol, I get it, I'm just starting to learn about NH, Miyota, and Eta movements. I'm trying to keep this new hobby affordable for now until I'm ready to really commit.
As opposed to spending $2k for a quartz movement in a Seiko Tuna, or Alsta asking a grand for a watch with an nh35? If you want a better movement, buy a better watch, and no ETA and Sellita aren't any better. They can be just as bad or unreliable (spoken from exprience) as a 6r series (which is a garbage movement) and you can get a whole new nh35 module for 1/4 a base, unregulated 2824. People sure will complain about anything these days.
Great video.........just shows that a well put together watch can be had for a very decent price,I love mine even more now I've seen this video.Thankyou.

You gota new subscriber. U did a great job and it's a great video. BTW did you end up cerakoting the case?
Not yet, it's still in a long to do list as my workshop is in full disarray right now ha ha ha!
@@yellowthunder92 Ok thanks for letting me know. Are you still using wearing this watch or it's still in pieces?

Excellent thanks
Nice video, but putting an NH35 into that hunk of steel is like putting a dog turd into a vault.

Do not agree. This is a $200 Homage, and a real Seiko is near $2000. Steeldive is Very well made and amazing.
