The thought of what happen on the 7th of October sickens me, how one human being could do this to another is beyond belief, I to pray for peace but I fear this is not enough to stop this happening again.
I had a Heuer (not TAG) military chrono when I was in the Marine Corps in the '80's. I loved that watch. It was built like a tank. The OD green powder coat finish is the only thing that ever showed the abuse the watch took. Sadly, it was stolen from a hotel room. Keep up the beautiful work, Joe.

Nice to see this part of your work. I love vídeos that have you restoring cases and using the lapping machine. Very delicate work with a plus in difficulty: there's no "undo" if you take out too much material lapping, sanding or polishing.
What skillful work. I have worked with metals since the earliest days of my employment life, and I cannot say that I would do as well as you, even with days of practice and trials. Well Done!

Your omission of the thousands of innocents killed on Oct 7 was therefore quite a shock to me. I mourn the deaths of so many innocents on both sides.............

It’s a terrible situation all around. Let us not forget that this started as a deliberate surprise attack on Israel, and they have every right to defend themselves. Women and children were kidnapped. Babies were slaughtered - intentionally. Israel’s retaliation, whether you think it’s justified or not, has not involved kidnapping and intentional killing of children. It’s a horrible situation as we know, but Israel was not the ones posting videos on social media of torturing and killing children. There are 2 sides to every conflict. Your into was obviously just about one side, and one could argue that it takes truly evil individuals to intentionally kill women and children. Not the accidental, though still terrible, killing of them after they’ve been repeatedly warned to leave. Yes there’s a difference. I love your channel and have really enjoyed your videos. I’m certain you will remove this comment. But I honestly want peace to the whole area and wish they could all live together.

I like the longer videos, though. All the detail! That way, depending on my mood, i can watch the movement or or case work, and just listen to tye rest. Depending on my mood i can prefer one or the other, but a lot of times I get fully invested in the whole project. I love watching you "make magic" qith these watch repairs. I have several favorites that i watch repeatedly. Your skill and knowledge are amazing.
As usual - more power to you (& yours). As to those who suggest you “stick to watchmaking” - you are not a watchmaker: you are a human, watchmaking is something you do. To be concerned about other humans is not politics. It is simply possessing the courage to share the love that resides within us all - in whatever ways we are able. I was a participant in the Vietnam War: a source of shame, not of pride. More than half a century later I still carry the shame & attempt the lessons I have tried through a long life to learn. You say what you want dear friend - there are plenty of us listening.
😮❤sunburst effect is not easy if some key tools are missing. Need a whole setup. Still designing my my combo using a mini milling machine and an angle table so I can get the correct holding position.

This is the first watchmaking video I’ve watched sine I had to drop out of watchmaking school after contracting long covid. Bittersweet. Peace to Palestine.
Always mixed feelings when you come back after a long delay. It is disconcerting to feel that your absences are due to life events. I hope your return indicates a more settled patch of life. Meantime, it is not politics to lament gratuitous killing on such a scale. It is right and proper. Even if it enphasises our helplessness in doing anything about it in the face of the powers that be. As to the watch - always something soothing and grounding about your videos. God bless you
