Having the tarp set up with the chair and rain is rather glorious. Yeah using the full frame camera is worth it captures so much more detail especially in low light situations. How do you brew coffee when in the bush? I am tempted to get aeropress apparently they are awesome.
I use the msr mug mate with ground coffee. I feel it may not be up to your standard but I find it makes a reasonable brew and is very light and indistructable. It pairs with my favourite mug (been using it for 45 years) beautifully. I do agree the presses do seem to be the way to go to improve the brew. Maybe one day!

Just finished a raining camping trip. It was lovely and atmospheric but hard to get warm once you get soaked. Here on the Pacific Northwest there is heavy fog too which just dampens the sleeping bag. Guess you just have to embrase the moisture lol.
Great overnight trip! A bit challenging this time with the weather and The Weka Threat haha, here in NorCal we have to worry about coyotes, bears, and snakes. Love how you prioritize good food and bev on your trips too, more fresh cooking segments would be great so long as it doesn't add too much pack weight and sacrifice your experience 👍
Hmm I’d rather weka then snakes bear and coyotes any day lol. It nice to mix it up and do some cooking from time to time. It’s coming into summer tho which makes it a bit hard to keep things cold. Wouldn’t guess from this trip though unexpectedly cold.
I put the pack under the fly and try and keep everything safe inside it. I need to be constantly aware of the weka movement though. I find in more remote places the weka are nowhere near as aggressive as say the rock shelters
fabulous dinner, without offence , just add fresh pasta not the dried out version . With the tomato sauce , the tomatoes that are the baby version fried in olive oil . 5 or 6 large cloves of garlic crushed not chopped and added then transported to a bowl and crush with a fork and add, this is important , Celtic sea salt with a generous dousing of balsamic vinegar ! The meat just ensure it's full fat high quality and fry in olive oil . If you have access to sourdough bread fry that in olive oil both sides, then add cheese slices , mature cheddar or goats cheese , add burger and tomato sauce and enjoy . greetings from Ireland, love your content .

I have the 1p version of the hornet with the new osmo fabric. I have used the tent in a few videos if you haven’t seen.
