I was sold after watching your video, just got my PC for my sr5 tacoma today, I only drove it in the city modes for a few miles & the irritating lag is definitely gone, still gotta do more testing, your video is the best of the many that out there, thanks🤙
Thank you, I appreciate that!!...yea play around with all the settings, I still go back and forth just to mix it up a little...makes the truck much more fun to drive, thanks for watching!!
Anything is a help in these Tundras!…lol…I’ll be the first to admit, I didn’t buy it for the gas mileage but if we can improve it somehow, I’m all for it!…thanks for watching!
I ordered and installed it on my 2020 Tundra a couple weeks ago after talking with Keith at Dirty Deeds about it. Tow haul mode is a one trick pony and I didn’t like the shift points for city driving. The pedal commander fixed that for me and it’s fun. I found City Mode + 4 perfect for me too. Gas mileage has gone down a bit for me because I love hauling ass everywhere! Great vid, thx. 👍🏻🙏
Thank you!...and yea I completely agree, ya hit the nail on the head with the tow/haul...the ability to fine tune the PC is awesome, I’ve been playing with it more and more but I keep going back to that city +4 as my favorite!...thanks for watching!
Hey Jeff!… I actually use the same modes when towing that I use on a regular basis… I think it’s more of a personal preference thing to be honest, my favorite is city +1…hope that helps!
I love the Tow/Haul mode. Does the pedal commander get a lot of hard shifts? I guess I dont understand the difference. One more throttle response and one changes the shift patterns? No long term effects?
Hey Matt!...no problems with mine and hard shifting...and you’re exactly right, the PC deals with throttle response and the tow/haul changes shift points which is useful for towing...but they’re definitely not the same...it’s one of those things that you have to use to really see/feel the difference...PC is similar to tow/haul, but takes it to a whole other level...haha...best is when you use both, it’s hard not to spin tires 🤣
Hey Max!… it would not automatically void the warranty, they would have to prove that it caused the issue you had… You can also remove this before taking it to dealer, they would never even know it was there… It doesn’t leave any footprint on the vehicle… Hope that helps!
I am honestly not sure about that, this basically just adjusts your throttle response… I’ll have to look into that and see what I can find out!… Thanks for watching!
No it's just make the pedal shorter Full stock throttle 100% usually With pedal commander in sport+ it's will manage the percentage, I don't know exactly what is the percentage but I'm sure it will go 100% on shorter distance than stock It's electrical resistance thing using potentiometers

@@NitroZ18Fishing thanks I’ll be watching if you post it I’m really hoping to improve my drag times on 1/8 mile over stock with tow haul mode 4 hi vs this peddle commander

HI, Thanks for the video I have question about how the PC work. So, did the pedal commander increase the speed of the truck over 140 mile/Hr. for traveling high way and driving for 10 Hr. and what is the maximum speed it will reach?? and is it increase the horse power and remove the speed limiter on the truck?? did the pedal commander will damage the transmission if we use it for a long ride ?? Thanks,
Hey Hussein!...unfortunately no, the PC has nothing to do with horsepower or top speed, all it does is adjust the throttle response of the vehicle...it feels like the truck has more power, but it doesn’t...and I haven’t seen any issues reported with transmission and PC, hope that helps!
Hey Matvey!...I plan on doing another comparison video in the future, I’ll try to include that option in that video!...I’ll be honest, I haven’t been using City +4 much at all, but maybe I’ll include it in my next comparison, thanks for watching!
Great explanations, if you want to change from one mode to another you have to do it when you already stop right? What mistake can make the pedal commander makes the car accelerates its self or sending error codes on dash board? As others claim to have experienced this problem with pedal commander?
Thanks Edwin!…yes sir, you have to stop before changing modes or it can cause malfunctions with trucks computer system…I’m honestly not sure about the issues others have mentioned, I’ve never had a single problem with mine!
It’s one I got off Amazon, I actually have a video showing it because I had a ton of people ask about it…best mount I’ve ever used, and I’ve gone through several kinds…here’s the link if it’ll help! amzn.to/3xELx0s

It does help slightly with MPG, all depends on trip/driving style...I actually have a follow up video here on the channel doing a test on mpg, I compare Eco, Sport, and stock modes to see how much of a difference I get
Great video, just installed mine a few days ago. I have another question, where did you get the after market black covers for your sterling wheel? I want some of those for my 2019! Thanks
Thanks Cory!… do you mean the panels around the buttons on the wheel?… If so I actually removed them and painted them… I have a video on the channel showing how to take them off to customize them if it would help!
Thanks for watching!...I would def recommend it!...and as for towing, I haven’t hooked the boat up just yet, but I would imagine it’s only going to help since it feels similar to the tow/haul button, I’ll keep the channel updated if I notice anything different!
I used to asking myself where are those 9 settings on pedal commander as when i count the bars are only 8 and each goes with 4 options, but i now understand that there is a Zero setting, that now makes like 9 bars , and with the 4 options. Then comes 36 options. Is this right?? Now is it possible to put City minus 4 ??😂😂😂😂
Thks so much for posting this video! I have 2021 Tundra SR5, I have the regular key, does that need to be 30 feet away during install or only the key that comes with the push start? Also I tow my camper can I use this when I'm towing? one last question when you are in ECO mode is it less powerful than stock? Thks again for the help I really appreciate it!
No prob, thanks for watching man!...I would keep your key away just to be safe (although I think you’re ok with the standard key)...you can definitely use it while towing, I use mine all the time when pulling my boat and I also put tow/haul on as well...and yea Eco mode definitely feels “less powerful” than stock, it just changes the throttle response and it’s nowhere near as sensitive...I’m not a fan of it at all...hahaha...hope that helps!
I enjoyed your review of the PC. Have you seen any issues with your device? Any check engine lights or limp mode with yours? How's has it hold up these last two years? I'm on the fence if buying one! Great video!

Thanks Robert!...no effect on warranty, it leaves no footprint on vehicle...you can actually remove it before taking it into Toyota for any kind of service, they’ll never know it was there... thanks for watching!
I just got mine and I love it, it really turned my tundra in a beast as far as accelerating. By the way what kind of magnetic iPhone dash mount is that
Yea it feels like a different truck!...that’s a mount I got off Amazon, I actually have a review video of it on the channel, a lot of people ask about it and it’s the best mount I’ve ever used...here’s the link to it if ya wanna check it out! amzn.to/3ndcTaa
I recently purchased a 2021 KIA telluride- I've had it almost 3 months- after a month of driving I noticed the muddy pedal response- im seriously considering purchasing a pedal commander but I have questions/ concerns -Does the pedal commander void your car warranty -What problems will occur if the pedal commander isn't properly installed
This will definitely take care of the pedal lag for sure, I put it on my wife’s RAV4 for that reason exactly...and it won’t void your warranty, it actually leaves no footprint on your vehicle so if you felt safer about it you could remove it before ever taking your car in to dealership...or just tuck the module out of sight...they would never know it was there...if it’s installed incorrectly you can get an array of error messages on your dash from the vehicle systems...but it’s so easy to install/take off, leave vehicle off for a few mins, then it plugs into your gas pedal and that’s about it...if you have smart keys just make sure they’re not by vehicle when installing...and then just remember to make sure vehicle is stopped before changing modes...hope that helps, thanks for watching!
No prob, here’s the link!...it’s definitely the best phone holder I’ve come across...nice and compact, but super strong...my phone hasn’t fallen off once...thanks for watching! amzn.to/36UieN4
Every time you start the truck it turns on where it left off...so if you have it at sport +2 for example, it’ll go there on it’s own every time you start truck...when you turn truck off it automatically goes off as well...so only time you need to do anything is it you want to change the setting...hope that helps!
I actually did a video on the channel on that mount, I’ve had so many people ask about it...lol...it’s the best mount I’ve ever used, I even have one on my boat that holds my phone at 60mph+ flying down the lake...here’s the direct link if it would help! amzn.to/2OwH5QE
Wow great review man! I think I gotta get mine. This seems to be a perfect alternative to a tune, because you can switch back to stock. I heard with a tune you can’t go back to stock and it voids your warranty. It seems like this Pedal Commander gives the truck some growl. It’s a little louder than stock right with it installed?
Thank you, I appreciate that!… I honestly haven’t noticed much of a sound difference with the Pedal Commander installed, but between my exhaust and my intake it’s hard to notice for sure… Thanks for watching!
Thanks for taking the time to explain the pedal commander. I had no idea what people where talking about. Back in 2019 I bought my wife a new RAV-4 fully loaded. Now I would like to treat myself to a tundra. But I may wait for the 2022 model twin turbo v6 tundra projected from sources to come out in June. Although, this pedal commander can be a game changer for me I may just get a 2019 tundra 5.7 and get the pedal commander. Again thanks for clarifying what the pedal commander is all about.
Yea no prob at all, thanks for watching!!...and I would highly recommend this thing, makes the truck feel like a whole different vehicle...good luck with whatever ya decide on!
Thanks Jay!…nope, they can’t void the warranty from installing the PC, they would have to prove that an issue was directly caused by it to deny a claim…and it leaves no footprint on vehicle, so you can always take it off before going into dealer, and they would have no clue it was even there…hope that helps!
Yea I’ve heard good things about the DAP tune as well, I’ve even heard a few people say they have both the tune and PC and love it...hopefully they’ll release a tune for us soon!...and yea I can see about getting a follow up video done, anything in particular you want to see??...thanks for watching!
brand new Tundra owner and really like that your video was to the point with honest opinions, quick question on your video itself, what software or app did you use to integrate the images onto the video? I really love that you can show what was on your phone at the same time as you describe while driving, already added Pedal Commander to my cart just now
Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it!!…I use PowerDirector by Cyberlink for editing my videos…very user friendly and easy to navigate…hope that helps, and thanks again!
Hey Jaime!...i would say this is comparable to doing that, but this takes it to a whole other level...you can completely customize this, and if you put this in Sport+ mode and cut em off, forget it...lol...you’ll have trouble not spinning your tires, I can’t even drive in Sport+ mode on a regular basis, it’s almost too sensitive...thanks for watching!
@@NitroZ18Fishing overall if looking to have better throttle response I think this would be the best buck compare to others company offer that you have to bring it in to tune it cost more 550 to 1200 .. Pedal commander way to go 😂🤭
Thanks for the video. How does this product compare to the Bully Dog platinum? In your opinion why would you choose one over the other? Thanks again for the content, you have inspired me to make mods on my 2018 Tundra.
Hey Jake!...that’s awesome, building a truck is a blast...unfortunately I can’t compare the 2, I’ve never used the Bully Dog so I don’t want to give ya any misleading info...but I absolutely love the PC!...let me know if I can help ya with anything, thanks for watching!
That is awesome. Been eyeing that up for my 2020 platinum tundra. Side note, isnt it crazy how little our payload rating is on the door jam sticker. Mine showed 1185 lbs and then was reduced by another sticker since i got factory running boards and spray bed liner. I added a few other add ons like a grill, diamondback tonnue cover and now my payload dropped to 950 lbs. thats with no weight of people in my truck. I add me, my wife, and kid there goes 450 lbs more! Crazy i will be left with 500 lbs or less to use as tongue weight when i pull a travel trailer.
Yeah, i am betting your payload must be even less than mine with all the mods, lift, and big tires on your truck. Plus you tow a boat. Are you close to being over on your vehicle’s payload with the tongue weight added to your truck from your boat trailer?
I'll be honest, I'm not sure...haha...I'm not exactly sure what the tongue weight is on my Nitro but the mods I've done have definitely dropped my available payload some...I've seen how you can calculate the "tongue weight" of your boat/trailer I've just never actually done it
I added air bags to my 2014 model 1794 tundra since i have a farm and oh my goodness! I use it like a 3/4 ton truck and watch jaws drop all the time. 🤣🤣
Hey Joe!...honestly I haven’t compared that, I was just having too much fun driving it in city +, sport, and sport +...haha...I can check that out and report back to the channel for ya!
I wish...lol...since adding my 35’s I get about 9-11 stock (depending on highway vs city of course)...this particular route that I used to compare the overall averages of stock vs eco mode was 9.8 stock and 12.4 in eco with PC, according to “average mpg” on my dash display...hope that helps!
Awesome review brother, I’m snatching this for my pro ever since I went big on the rubber I been riding the pedal a little longer this is what I need! Question, the black steering wheel trim I been wanting to do this mod, by any chance do you know the part number?
Thanks man, I appreciate the feedback and support!!...you’ll love this with the bigger tires, truck feels awesome...and the trim on the wheel is actually The stock pieces, I took them off and painted them… I have a video of that on the channel, it’s under the playlist “Tundra Installs”... hope it helps, and thanks for watching!
Thank you for the kind words!...I got that mount I’m using off Amazon, I love it...phone hasn’t fallen off one time in 10 months of using it...Here’s the link for it, hope it helps! amzn.to/3ew4Hxl
Only way for it to void your warranty would be for Toyota to prove that it caused some kind of issue… In other words, if something broke on your truck they would have to prove that this caused it… The other thing is you can easily remove this before taking it into Toyota if you wanted, once you remove it from truck it leaves no footprint on vehicle… So they would never even know it was there...I don’t worry about that though, they can’t void your warranty just by having it there… Hope that helps!
So if I understand the sport mode creates more get up and go than Tow haul mode..........? How about having the truck in tow haul while using sport mode ? Also where did you find the nice looking steering wheel black trim.?
Yea the Pedal Commander works a little differently than the tow/haul...so they’re similar, but effect the truck in different ways...the tow/haul changes the shift points, while the PC effects throttle response...it def feels “faster” in the sport + mode, and if you use tow/haul with it at the same time it’s crazy...lol...hard not to spin the tires...and my steering wheel trim is actually the stock trim, I just removed it and painted it... I have a video on the channel showing the process if you want to see it!… Thanks for watching!
So, not trying to be funny or an Ahole, if it doesn't affect engine power (which it obviously can't), how does it save 2-3 miles per gallon on eco mode? Can't you achieve the same savings with conservative driving?
No problem at all, that’s a great question!… Honestly, knowing what this thing does you can probably achieve very similar results by “babying“ the gas pedal… Thanks for watching!
Congrats on the new truck man, that’s awesome!…here’s a direct link to the mount, I actually have a video on it on the channel because I had so many people ask about it, but here’s the link…hope it helps! amzn.to/2Xgg2gT

2 years later do you still like it, I have heard a lot of problems with them what do you think
Correct me if I'm wrong the throttle is limited from the factory and using this device unlocks the throttle to it's full
I am honestly not sure about that, this basically just adjusts your throttle response… I’ll have to look into that and see what I can find out!… Thanks for watching!
No it's just make the pedal shorter
Full stock throttle 100% usually
With pedal commander in sport+ it's will manage the percentage, I don't know exactly what is the percentage but I'm sure it will go 100% on shorter distance than stock
It's electrical resistance thing using potentiometers
I said usually because in GM throttle mostly they don't exceed 94-96% of throttle but It doesn't make a difference
If I have pedal commander connected to Bluetooth, with my phone still connect to the truck bluetooth?
Yes sir, no problems there at all!
Have you tried using the cruise control at the same time the pedal commander is on?
Yepper, no issues at all!
Would you still use tow/haul button when towing with the pedal commander?
Yes sir, I do!...the tow/haul button serves a different purpose than the pedal Commander so I do use most times when pulling boat, hope that helps!
Do you have to use different type of fuel octane are you required to use the high-octane when you install this pedal commander?
No sir, you can still use regular with no issues…hope that helps!
Q: you said it saves your settings which is great, but does it automatically power on when you start the truck or do you have to hit the power button on it/start the app every time?
It automatically turns on to last setting you had it on, very convenient to use…no hitting power button every time you get into truck…hope that helps!

Just pull the trigger Nancy
Whats your exhaust setup? Sounds good and not to loud!
It’s the 10” Dirty Deeds, I actually have a video on the channel of the installation and comparison clips if you want to check it out!
Great info. What phone holder are you using, seems pretty cool.
Thank you, I appreciate it!…that’s the mount by Scosche, it’s worth its weight in gold…my phone never once fell off of it, no matter how big of a bump I would hit…here’s a direct link if ya wanna check it out, thanks for watching!

I actually have a video on the channel showing it in more detail, I had a TON of requests/questions about it…thanks again!
Just got one for our tundra. Might have to get one for my f350 lol.
Nice!… how ya liking it?… I love this thing…lol
I really want this for my tundra. Didn’t know it was that easy to install.
You’ll love it!...and yea it’s that easy, literally takes 2 minutes and that’s including cleaning up/hiding the wiring!
NitroZ18 Fishing when you doing a give away? 😬
tomorrow!...if you haven't gotten in on it yet make sure to check out the video I posted the other day on how to enter!
NitroZ18 Fishing will do!
I dont have a tab on the wiring from thr truck to the pedal. Can't figure out how to get it to release
very cool my friend let me ask does this effect the warrantee from toyota

Thanks for the info!
No prob!
I recently purchased a 2021 KIA telluride- I've had it almost 3 months- after a month of driving I noticed the muddy pedal response- im seriously considering purchasing a pedal commander but I have questions/ concerns
-Does the pedal commander void your car warranty
-What problems will occur if the pedal commander isn't properly installed
Thanks for the video. Kindly share the link and details of your phone holder. I really like it. Does not block the air vents.
No prob, here’s the link!...it’s definitely the best phone holder I’ve come across...nice and compact, but super strong...my phone hasn’t fallen off once...thanks for watching!

@@NitroZ18Fishing thank you
Does it stay in the last mode after shut off?
Yes sir, stays the same!
Terrific explanations
What is the time stamp for the testing part of the video?
Does this turn off and on every time by itself or do you gotta do it manually every time?
Every time you start the truck it turns on where it left off...so if you have it at sport +2 for example, it’ll go there on it’s own every time you start truck...when you turn truck off it automatically goes off as well...so only time you need to do anything is it you want to change the setting...hope that helps!
@@NitroZ18Fishing Yes sir!! Thanks for the reply!!
no prob, happy to help!
Awesome video sweet Nitro
Thanks man, much appreciated!!
Any problems with limp mode or any problems with sending codes
No sir, no issues at all!
@@NitroZ18Fishing okay thanks that's good 2 hear!

@@NitroZ18Fishing I would also like to know where u got your phone mount lol!
I actually did a video on the channel on that mount, I’ve had so many people ask about it...lol...it’s the best mount I’ve ever used, I even have one on my boat that holds my phone at 60mph+ flying down the lake...here’s the direct link if it would help!

Any problems using the bluetooth? And how long have you had it hooked up?
Hey Ken!...no issues at all, and I’ve had it on for several months now!
@@NitroZ18Fishing hey that's great 2 hear I'm going to be hooking mine up some time in may/June hey i got a phone mount like yours. Loving it so far!
Nice!... yeah man, that thing is the best phone mount I’ve ever used… I think I mentioned it in the video but I even put one on my boat!
@@NitroZ18Fishing yeah u said u had one on your boat. Hey thanks for all the information you have been a big help. 😊
No prob at all, always happy to help!
Couldn’t you just disconnect the battery just to be sure it’s fully off?
I forgot to move my keys away 35 feet and still installed with no check warning lights. I have a smart key fob.
Nice, good to know!...I’m sure you’re most likely ok, they probably just tell ya to do it as a precautionary measure...thanks for watching!
What if you’re supercharged?
That’s prolly the only time I would say don’t waste your money, lol...if you’re supercharged you prolly don’t need this...haha
Great review, will installing PC void the warranty?
Thanks Jay!…nope, they can’t void the warranty from installing the PC, they would have to prove that an issue was directly caused by it to deny a claim…and it leaves no footprint on vehicle, so you can always take it off before going into dealer, and they would have no clue it was even there…hope that helps!
@@NitroZ18Fishing great, thank you...
No problem!
Thinking on a pedal commander or just waiting on a DAP tune to be released for 2020s. Can you do a video on sport and sport +?
Yea I’ve heard good things about the DAP tune as well, I’ve even heard a few people say they have both the tune and PC and love it...hopefully they’ll release a tune for us soon!...and yea I can see about getting a follow up video done, anything in particular you want to see??...thanks for watching!
NitroZ18 Fishing maybe a 0-60 with like sport + in highest setting if possible?
ok, I can do that for ya!...I have a few videos on deck but I'll add that to my list to make, should be a fun one!
Thanks great information. Need to get this for my Tundra.
Thanks Steve!...I would def recommend it!!
brand new Tundra owner and really like that your video was to the point with honest opinions, quick question on your video itself, what software or app did you use to integrate the images onto the video? I really love that you can show what was on your phone at the same time as you describe while driving, already added Pedal Commander to my cart just now
Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it!!…I use PowerDirector by Cyberlink for editing my videos…very user friendly and easy to navigate…hope that helps, and thanks again!
Thanks great video. I have 2012 lc200
No prob, thanks for watching!!
Is it the same as just cutting all the nannies off ?? Or does it make a BIG difference if I install this AND cut the nannies off ?? Thanks !
I enjoy my just didn’t find much of gas saving due to running a 35 not helping lol max I get is 13😂
Hahaha...yea the 35's will get ya!
How does it feel with tow haul engaged in any mode?
Feels even better...lol...basically just intensified it a little
That is awesome.
Crazy i will be left with 500 lbs or less to use as tongue weight when i pull a travel trailer.
thanks man!...grab ya one of these, it's awesome!...and yea hopefully that's one thing Toyota will address with the next gen!
Dude, literally that doesn't make any sense bro. Towing has nothing to do with that
Are you getting much less mpg with the city + mode than you normally get stock?
Hey Joe!...honestly I haven’t compared that, I was just having too much fun driving it in city +, sport, and sport +...haha...I can check that out and report back to the channel for ya!
I only compared the eco mode to stock, and that was a nice surprise to see it does in fact save ya a little on mpg’s
2 to 3 mpg improvement in Eco mode over a 20 minute trip? That is huge. What were the numbers you got? 14 to 17 mpg?
Thanks for the video , thinking of getting it.

@@NitroZ18Fishing Thank you for taking the time sending me the link. I appreciate it.
no prob, happy to help!!
Have you had any problems with it
No issues at all, love it!
Will it void my warranty??
Only way for it to void your warranty would be for Toyota to prove that it caused some kind of issue… In other words, if something broke on your truck they would have to prove that this caused it… The other thing is you can easily remove this before taking it into Toyota if you wanted, once you remove it from truck it leaves no footprint on vehicle… So they would never even know it was there...I don’t worry about that though, they can’t void your warranty just by having it there… Hope that helps!
Should I expect worst gas mileage?
Not at all, I actually have another video on the channel showing a test I did on gas mileage if it would help!
Luv it simple stated !
Thanks Ken!
Love this. Got a new 21 today. Where did you get Phone mount?
Congrats on the new truck man, that’s awesome!…here’s a direct link to the mount, I actually have a video on it on the channel because I had so many people ask about it, but here’s the link…hope it helps!
