2012 MacBook Pro is very solid machine but the most annoying problem it has is when it starts beeping and it won’t turn on. Most of them have this problem so be prepared for that.

I use my 2012 with Sonoma (latest MacOS, installed with Open Core Legacy Patcher). It runs great for all daily tasks. Re the battery... did you say 238 something cycles? That's a newish battery, not a used up one!
