That's because he is.
Stanley Kubrick was the most obsessive director of all time. Everything had to be flawless. He holds the world record for most takes in a movie. He shot the staircase scene in The Shining 127 times. When you watch the woman in that scene crying hysterically, that's NOT her acting. After doing that scene 127 times, her mind broke unable to figure out what she was doing wrong.
Not only that, but on set, he either ignored her or he insulted her. No wonder Shelley Duvall became slightly insane over the course of the film.
Some say Stanley Kubrick was on the Autism spectrum, personally I support that idea.

Stanley Kubrick made some of the most gorgeous and memorable movies of all times. The Shinning, 2001: A space Odyssey, Clockwork Orange, etc.
You had to have a lot of tolerance to work with him because he was a method director. If he wanted you to feel frustration, he would try to stress you out to that mindset.
Yeah, great director, but a cruel one and too much perfectionist. His methods wasn't moral in any case.
It's a shame average movie goers don't know about Kubrick even though they've probably seen one or two of his films. I highly recommend you guys watch at least the Shining or 2001, which you probably have you just didn't know who it was by, it's true art

Oh shoot, thanks, I didn't realize Kubrick did full metal jacket - he's definitely underrated as he did some really good ones. It's almost like there's some really good ones out there but for some reason some of us couldn't remember the name of the director on it that it was Kubrick.
I know its been a year, but when Michael Bay said "Of that Got Milk" money. I didn't put together, till just now that it was in reference to the fact that he directed a "Got Milk" Commercial and it was pretty damn good too and I still wouldn't haven't known if it wasn't for the Nostalgia Critic

kubrick was also known to be a perfectionist as well as a revolutionary director, which might explain some of his rhymes to you guys, the other visual references in his verse were based on 2001: a space odyssey, which he also directed

Yup, Stanley Kubrick. One of the greatest American directors, and among the very few who could be classified as "method directors." People have already talked about the 127 takes tidbit (axing into the bathroom scene from The Shining, but it wasn't an isolated thing in his style), but AI was another good line. AI was a movie Kubrick was working on when he died and Spielberg actually adopted the project to finish it. As a result, there are two distinct directing styles and the movie is remembered as kind of a mess because of it.
Lol I loved how they were all taking jabs at Michael bay (Spielberg: "you've got as many oscars as that schlep Michael Bay"; Hitchcock: "You're more horrible than Megan Fox's acting in transformers" (one of Bay's movies); Tarantino: "that looks like some sellout bullshit Michael bay would do"; Kubrick: "A.I. (one of Spielberg's movies) is the worst waste of potential since the Ninja Turtles!" (Another one of Bay's movies) and then Michael bay shows up at the end to shut them all up 🤣

Stanley Kubricks entrance was amazing especially with the pauses between Quentin Tarantinos lines but I feel like the Space Odessey music just threw off the flow

Yea I agree Tarantino won, had a great rhythm. Kubrick was a director, had a few good movies (clockwork orange, shining, full metal jacket, etc. so he had talent, but I don't consider him in the same category as the others just in the amount of films he directed, plus most of his were done quite a while ago and many younger people don't remember or know him at all.

When I first saw this one, I'd never heard of Kubrick. Based on the "127 times" line I assumed he was Peter Jackson, given how he shot the final scene of _Return of the King_ over and over to keep production going (though that was more out of sentimentalism than perfectionism).
Kubrick also did a clockwork orange, full metal jacket, and a space Odyssey.... the rest are kind of old so idk if anybody would remember them
They ain't that old lol even if so, they're vital films to cinema and have influenced future directors. They hold up so well so that idea "kind of old" holds zero relevance.

I can’t judge too much because I don’t know absolutely EVERYTHING about these directors. But Tarantino and Bay won, even though they were all hitting pretty well. Tarantino has the best lines and flow and Bay was just hilarious. But I thought it was funny that they were all dissing Michael Bay. Bay made Bad Boys and Bad Boys II and I love those movies, so I can’t say much. He’s getting his coins, though. 😂
