I have such fond memories of the game from the good old days. When the world didn't feel like it was falling apart, when we were innocent, and when all we had to worry about was what we were having for dinner. Thank you minecraft for giving me such a great a childhood.

i remember when my dad came home i forgot what year it was he came home and got minecraft on my tablet we made a world played together for the first time when i heard sweden even at an age like that i felt nolstalga and i remember we were so dumb my dad told me to mine a mountain for diamonds, we didnt know the end or nether existed...

Problem is i started playing minecraft when i was about 6 or 7 and i remember going into the tutorial and seeing the big sign showing my dad all of it and when i figured out what creative was and just got a set of diamond armour and i always whatched stampy and dantdm and all the popular ones but now i realize i didnt fully apreciate minecraft for what it was until now back then i was just bumbiling around making a red and yellow house without a care in the world but now im making actual builds and houses and contraptions but the problem is even with all the stuff i have now i cant go back and relive and remember what minecraft
I wanna go back to those years.. these years were the best
I still recall it all here in Belgium from 2003-2014.. the dark blue sky during the day, the warm rays of sunshine outside, the sunshine coming through the curtains.. even going to school was so much fun here. I'd go home excited too to play with your friends outside, for the rest of the afternoon. As soon as the sun starts to set we'd go back inside, make our homework, either I'd play with my toys or fire up the xbox for playing halo with my father.
All that just fwooshed away as soon as 2015 hit. Suddenly the dark blue sky is replaced with a light blue sky, the rays coming through the curtains are gone, school is not like it was anymore and way to hot..
What I'd do to just get that all back is unimaginable.

@Jiwoo Park Dude minecraft is NOT dead? The community has tens of millions of players per day, and rising minecraft youtubers as well (although I personally don’t watch those anymore I’m too old for them but their popularity is high)
Not to mention minecraft is the most sold videogame of all time just behind tetris. In my personal opinion it’s in line to literally be the videogame of the century.

I still remember my first minecraft world - a river cutting throught the valley which i spawned in, some sheep grazed in a forest, not far off. Paradise, I didn't realise at the time. Since then, I've grown up, lost all my worlds, including my first one, multiple times, and my origional account has been hacked. Only the memory remains. I hope I never forget it.

Forgot about minecraft
Even as I’ve gotten older, and I’ve grown out of this game’s target demographic, I still love this game. I can’t help but think of that one day back in 2011 or 2012 (memory is a bit foggy there) when I got Minecraft. I put in my email, and my dad, excited for me, paid the $25, and there I was, in my first survival world, with him watching me play over my shoulder. Thinking back to those times, hearing this music, makes me so happy. My dad passed away a month ago today. I miss him a lot, and it hurts like hell, but when I hear this music, this beautiful score composed for a seemingly childish, basic game, I feel like I’m back with him when I first played Minecraft. For that, I am eternally in this game’s debt. To have something that allows me to feel like I’m with him again; to make me feel like I’m a little kid again, is truly priceless. Once again, thank you, Minecraft, for all of the memories, and thank you ydarb, for letting me relive them.

My childhood. I may only be 14 years old, but I started playing minecraft at, what, 5? Man, this game was my childhood, and it still is my life. It is timeless.
Same for me, but i stopped playing. Im no longer having fun playing it with all these new updates and its the worst feeling ever.
@@smokingrabbit7029 I can't blame you. It's not the minecraft you grew up with and I can understand that! But if you could, you could try getting a legacy console version or a java edition. Legacy console is discontinued while on java you swap between versions with a click.

my childhood as well. started when i was like, 8 ish and this music brings me back. i miss these days of minecraft when i played creative and built all day because i was too scared of survival. now i am nearly an adult, and the game isn’t the same
Tbf I'm 16 and I understand what you mean, never built anything extravagant but all my friends on my ps3 are gone now. New update brought me back and I hope I can feel the same way I did back then.

And that is why I don't want to grow up yet but its happening too fast I remember when I was in third grade we got Minecraft that was in 2013 I never realized how much I would come to love it. At first it was just a game for me but then we got an xbox and minecraft was the first game we got and me and my brother made a world that we still have to this day and whenever I get on it and find our mansions and hotels that are basically Iron blocks it makes me miss the olden days. Also life outside of Minecraft has changed so much I remember coming to my grandmas house, where we now live, to come camp at the pond with my cousins and those were some of the best times ever and now without even realizing those times are all but over. I hate nostalgia and I love it at the same time.
Think about where all of us would be if Notch hadn't sat down one day and made that first version of Minecraft.
Thank you Notch, you created one huge family, everyone reading this is my family

i hope future generations get their own minecraft. part of all this is growing up with minecraft, a great game that has grown with us, and will likely continue to grow. it may be around for the next generations, but eventually a new game will come out, and it will grow with a generation as minecraft has with us, and one day it will be past its time, always remembered, always admired.

The worst part is when you realize you are slowly forgetting all of your cherished memories. Barely able to remember certain parts. Damn, I miss the simpler days. I'm gonna stop typing before I cry even more.
