    THANK YOU for this tutorial! This is perfect for work. As a nurse we have strict procedures for personal hygiene, makeup, nails, etc... and this one shadow look let's me look put together but not "painted". Bonus: less time consuming than blending 3 or 4 shadows.

    What an amazing difference and yet so simple! This is exactly what I need. My eyes are a bit more hooded than yours, mobile lid barely visible. I get a little overwhelmed with all the different colors and all the blending I see done on so many videos, even those for "mature" eyes. I'm 62 and my lids are looking old and crepey and I've lost a lot of my makeup skills from so many years of barely wearing any eye makeup, so I think this technique will really help me get started again without feeling so overwhelmed about it. I've been using some natural oils on my face more recently so I do think the texture of my skin, even around my whole eye area is improving. I'm hoping it will make all of my makeup, face & eyes, look much more improved. I love your videos, Nisha! You do a great job on your tutorials! Hugs!!!

    Oh I tried this Nisha this week and it does look better!!!! Thank you so much. When I try to do the "V" part of it gets lost and it looks like I didn't blend...but I did! I like this better and I like plum colors too with hazel eyes :) You look so beautiful..gee wiz! Happy week-end to you!!! xxoo Susan & Mr. C

    Hi Nisha. I tried this new technique on my eyes this morning before work. Its certainly quicker, and I was pleased with the results. I also used mascara on my bottom lashes today and that looked good as well. I wear glasses and often I find my eyes are loosing definition by the end of the day. The mascara on the bottom lashes helped the eyes stay more defined today. Thanks again for your great tips Nisha xxxxx

    LOVE IT Nisha!!!! THANK YOU! It reminds me and reiterates the lesson of a Sephora video by David from the pro team. He did something very similar - teaching to put the shadow all over the lid to the "orbital bone" - as everyone has one. He said it was a great way to emphasize the natural eye shape by going high enough with the shadow to that bone. I've been using this trick (even using a dark brown/black eyeshadow) - and using the KVD alchemist palette for the inner corner(top and bottom) to highlight. Also - a darker shade can be put into the outer corner for more emphasis if one wanted to be more dramatic. I love him and you for eyeshadow tutorials - the BEST. Great and detailed instruction - I've bookmarked this to my favorites!

I sort of dress in a monochromatic way also, so that is probably why I like it. I think I love that color eyeshadow you used more than almost anything. kim f whoa! That was a direct response!😂 Try the illuminated mirror by Babyliss (supplied by major stockists such as Boots). There are 2 different magnifications- one on either side! The light really helps if your vision is an issue. It's chrome in colour and looks very pretty on a vanity. Cost is under £30.

    • @kfaltys
      @kfaltys 7 років тому

      Hi Beatrice. Thanks so much for the suggestion. I actually had the sensor mirror, but I'm pretty sure it was 8x. I don't know what happened, but the light never shut off and so I had to recharge it. I ended up returning it for that reason. I might reconsider and buy it again, but do you have any suggestions on how to prevent that from happening? Also, do you think it has much distortion? The other thing I didn't like about it is that it doesn't have a regular lense.

    • @kfaltys

      Hey Beatrice, you must have the mirror that I returned. How do you get it to shut off? Mine didn't shut off and I had to recharge it. That's why I returned it. Do you think the mirror has distortion? Thank you so much!

      Sofia Hoffman I don't think I'd call it a drug store dupe, but The Balm's Meet Matte Trimony has a really soft brown that is very similar. They are very soft and easily blendable shadows. And while they are not drug store dupes, The Balm VERY frequently does flash sales with deep discounts. If you go to their website (same as their name) and get on their mailing list, they will email you when they are having flash sales and then you can get it (and other great products) for 30, 40 and 50% off! Also, their products are vegan or vegan friendly, so 100% cruelty free; that matters a great deal to me. have no connection to The Balm Cosmetics - just a fan of some of their eye shadows. BTW, you get a TON of product for the $. Also Ali Express has gazillions of dupes but they are , in my opinion, most likely made in china so not cruelty free, but very cheap. The origins are unknown but they have cheap dupes for any high end product you can think of. I.E.: an exact replica of the TF Choc Bon Bons palette, etc. I hope you find what you're looking for! ~grace & peace

    HI Nisha! I love this! So simple. You look radiant! My question today is about your hair. How did you get such soft waves/curls?

    Great tutorial Nisha. I have hooded eyes and I try to copy how you have shown us but I'm really not very good so this is much better for me as it is quicker and just one colour. Can I buy the eyeshadow you used without it being in a palette as they are a bit too expensive for me?💙
