Oh Nisha, you just solved my problem! NONE of the hooded eye tutorials have worked for me because the droopiest, saggiest, baggiest, crepiest part of my hooded eyes are near the inner corner! And I actually have a puffy area in the middle of that hooded inner eyelid too! So if I apply a light color to that area, especially shimmer, that hooded puffy inner eye corner sticks out like a sore thumb. But I know this technique will work for me. And it’s so simple. I can’t wait to try it tomorrow morning. You are a genius. You are a goddess. Why do you keep saying you’re not a makeup artist? Because you didn’t go to school for that? You don’t need to. I'm so confused. I'm 47 with hooded eyes and excess skin, not to mention puffy and dark under eyes. I've heard I could wear light color and shimmer on my kids, then I'll hear from another person that people my age should ONLY use darker color on the lid!?!? I have It Cosmetic CC Cream, Tarte shape tape, concealer and different techniques and what to use. Now I also have Morphe foundation as well as Two Face foundation!! I have all this make-up which isn't cheap and idk what to use or what techniques!! Plus I need to know more about brushes. I need to watch a good facial tutorial and which cream and moisturizers to use. At my age my old techniques aren't working!! I'm trying to learn how to apply my makeup for mature skin. Would someone please do a tutorial that shows the "must haves" in your beauty routine and facial!! Someone please help! I have all these high priced makeups and I am thinking of just going to Walmart and buying L'oreal and Covergirl....

I also ❤️ watching some of the younger guys and gals, mainly just for variety but when I do, I find myself spending WAY too much time on my makeup trying to achieve a look that doesn’t even really work for my type of hooded eye. I already spend so much time on my skin care routine that I don’t need to add time on to my makeup routine! I adore the mauves in that palette 🎨 and they are absolutely PERFECT for your skin tone! You “keep it real” and this tutorial is a perfect example of that. I need to remember that I am not a movie star with paparazzi chasing me around so I don’t need to spend 2 hours on my visage! I have extremely hooded eyes and I use this technique.... It's perfect! If you add the Too Faces glitter glue to your mobile lid it keeps shimmer from transferring so you can add a pop if you want 😁

This is perfect for me 😃👍 my eyes are very hooded, always have been & I've always struggled with makeup. I'm trying this technique tomorrow for sure. My eye makeup always ended up looking exactly the same as the "wrong version" you demonstrated lol ☺ & I couldn't work out what I was doing wrong because I thought I was following the tips I'd read in magazines etc. You've explained it better for me, thank you. This "halo" technique will be ideal for me, I'm sure once I've practised & perfected it I'll be able to do it quickly every time. This worked great for me. I’ve always had trouble finding a good eyeshadow shape for my eyes, until this ❤ Tho my eyes are not severely hooded, they are downturned. With this technique I can finally wear a strong eyeshadow shade, and have it look good!! Yay!! Thank u!!

Stephanie Lange has done a few videos in the past couple of years using a similar technique. She calls it “the dome shape” technique. I’ve been doing it for quite a while and it really does work! I love your color choice for the shadow; it makes your beautiful blue eyes pop!
Hi Nisha. I purchased the NYX Las Angeles lipliner and loved it so much I bought 1 of every color in that line. They were $4 a piece and I ordered 10. I think there was one...maybe two...that were sold out.
This reminds me of the looks Lisa Eldridge uses for hooded eyes. I was looking for a more in depth tutorial on the look because most of the tutorials I’ve seen always use the light color on the mobile lid. Thank you for this!

Stephanie Lange has done a few videos in the past couple of years using a similar technique. She calls it “the dome shape” technique. I’ve been doing it for quite a while and it really does work!

Hi Nisha. I purchased the NYX Las Angeles lipliner and loved it so much I bought 1 of every color in that line. They were $4 a piece and I ordered 10. I think there was one...maybe two...that were sold out.
I tried this technique for a light daytime look yesterday. I added a little black eyeliner and false lashes. Love it!

This reminds me of the looks Lisa Eldridge uses for hooded eyes. I was looking for a more in depth tutorial on the look because most of the tutorials I’ve seen always use the light color on the mobile lid. Thank you for this!
