    I literally cried watching this video, because no one believes my symptoms ... I take medicine but my symptoms still destroy my daily life. I don't know what to do ... everyone thinks that I have mental problems, because I suffered some months ago anxiety and fear of death ... so hard, I hope that I can be able again to do my daily life ... :( thank you for your motivational words

      You're welcome, my heart is with you! You are not alone. There are so many of us who are with you. Many with thyroid conditions also experience anxiety and depression. It's so hard for people to understand, and it leaves those of us battling thyroid conditions feeling isolated and alone. Almost exactly the same as my Hashimoto's/Graves journey too. Traditional doctors ran my TSH test for over a decade telling me completely normal. Sad that the medical field failed us both for so long.

    me rn, lol. Can hardly go through my days for several months now. Only 27 y.o and I feel miserable. I feel like I will never feel better again. And the worst part is that the doctors say it's in my head lol. And my endocrinologist said just daily levothyroxine would have my life figured. She never mentioned a single thing about diet.

    Thanks for sharing I have tried AIP but still haven’t found the cause. I think there is something else underlying so far I have hashimotos since 2015, Reactivated EBV diagnosis last summer & IBS constipation dominate. Sometimes I feel human other times like right now I want to crawl in a hole till it passes back to the ok times. Been doing everything that supposedly works but as soon as the season changes or I get under more stress than my normal stress I go backwards.

    Your story is very similar to what I am dealing with now. I’m being told I am borderline hashimotos and not at a point for medication. I’ve been feeling like I’m crashing for years now without a way to manage. Would you mind sharing your thyroid test results so I can do a comparison? I need to somehow self diagnose and find ways to treat this.

      Hi Jessica! I somehow missed your comment, and I apologize. So sharing my thyroid test results won't necessarily help you. My TPO in 2018 was 483 and just 2 weeks ago its 1280. I am also positive for Thyroglobulin antibodies. Did they test you for this too? I feel like I'm dying. My hair is falling out in clumps, I have bald spots. I don't know what to do.

    • @ShannaNemrow
      @ShannaNemrow  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Shawna! So sorry you are going through this! My heart is with you. I am not taking thyroid medicine. When I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's in January 2018, my thyroid levels weren't quite where I needed medicine so my endocrinologist asked me to come back in 3-6 months to be retested. I started AIP within days of my diagnosis and haven't needed to go on medicine at all. It's been almost two years. With that said, if you start AIP or change your nutrition substantially, you'll want to work closely with your medical team to monitor your thyroid levels to adjust meds as needed. Nutrition and lifestyle were truly game changers for me.

    I just found your videos after following Melodye Reynolds also. I have watched several videos AND I have experienced every single one of these symptoms, including pre-eclampsia during pregnancy. Because I'm morbidly obese AND I had excellent typical bloodwork, they never believed something was wrong. I was only told "lose weight and you won't feel that way." and I compared my typical diet to what my thinner, healthier co-workers ate and I had the "healthiest" diet of anyone I knew!
    There was NO REASON I kept gaining weight and when I told a doctor, they didn't believe me. They'd tell me to lay off fast food or stop eating so much junk. THANK YOU for your video series'. It's been SO HELPFUL in being an advocate for myself and speaking up for what I need.
    I cried for a while because I felt like SUCH a hypochondriac and no one believed what I was going through. My (soon-t0-be) husband finally started believing me when he noticed I have LOADS of bald spots all over my head from these issues and he found someone to believe me and actually help.

    Thanks for sharing! 🙂💕 Over the past 2 years that you've been on AIP, how has it affected your lab work? Did your TPO go down and stay down? Or have your labs fluctuated?

    • @ShannaNemrow
      @ShannaNemrow  4 роки тому

      You're welcome! So I was on AIP elimination phase for 10 months, and in the reintroduction phase ever since. Last time I had my TPO checked, which was early this year, my antibodies had not gone down. I felt totally shocked since I felt like a new person and my symptoms were gone. After sharing my experience on my Instagram account and digging around some more, I learned that for some people antibodies take years to go down, and in others, they may never go down. With that said, I have a couple of IG friends who've been able to bring their TPO number down into normal range. I go back in soon to have them rechecked (in January), and I'm sure I'll share the results when I get them. I also learned through the experience to focus more on how I feel physically, emotionally, and spiritually, and I FEEL amazing most of the time. ;) Also, just a heads up, I recently read information that discussed TPO results can vary depending on the lab you go to. Meaning, stick to the same lab for testing when possible.
