Loser - a sheet of newspaper wetted down, folded into quarter, pressed into the drip tray will eliminate the need to A: purchase pressed foil drip trays or B: slave over cleaning the drip tray 'holder'.
This fucking loser took the time out of his day to post this.
@@WhatsForDinner1 This loser would have used a Pressure Washer to clean it. Work SMART! Not hard. Granted I would have gotten dirty. Heaven forbid someone actually gets grease on themselves!
Thanks man, I just pin their comments fuck em, it’s my channel. A little elbow grease never hurt anyone. It gets dirty every time I use it. I paid 7 dollars for it from a thrift store. I’m going to clean it! The whole point is not throwing it away in a throw away society it’s worth saving.
Pressure washers are for lazy losers. Never does a neat job. Ruined my deck.
Will be doing the same with my old, unused Q100. It’s a great grill!
I’ve had my Q100 for 6 years still works and looks great
Awesome deal and nice clean up! Weber Q is a great little grill!
I agree thank you
Pretty cool Drew! It's amazing what kind of deals you can find and with a bit of work, good as new. Turned out some great steaks!
Nice restro but keep that lid closed while cooking, that's how a Webber works mate.
lots of bbq's have lids, doesnt mean they should be closed for every situation.
Well done, but there's no need to dismantle the regulator. Only one bolt on the left is keeping the burner tube in place.
Try putting kitty litter in a foil tray to catch the fat drips. Makes cleaning the Weber so much easier. Buy foil pans from supermarkets as they are cheaper than the Weber brand.
Kitty litter is a great idea I never thought of thanks David!
Great Job cant grumble you got the q looking pretty descent and cooking well
That’s cool! Nice work and cool little grill!
Nice clean up on the Q. My wife would hang me if I used the kitchen sink 😂. Steaks came out great.
Thanks!
1 inch thick top sirloin steak,
salt and pepper heavily,
grill at 400,
4 minutes total,
flip each minute to get the good grill marks,
let sit for 2 minutes, down the hatch...
grill marks bud.
Nice Thanks Eric
Nice job on the restoration! Steaks look awesome!
You & Greg from Ballistic BBQ are my biggest Cooking Videos influences
Nice funky jazzy guitar!
That's what us old folks call elbow grease. Nice vid buddy
Great looks like a good $7 grill to me. Great looking steaks as well. Thanks for sharing
Good job, I did this to mine also!
Thank You, I appreciate it!
Can anyone recommend “best” cleaning methods for Q series LID exteriors ?
Oven cleaner for the inside is the fastest way
Oven cleaner works better..faster
Lots of elbow grease. Looks good!👍🏼
I just saw this ... I have a neglected q1200 that I have decided to rehab instead of paying someone else to do it for me, or just getting another one. I liked the pov all the way through, but I just need a little more detail on the propane connections and I'm wondering if the propane is still any good after 3 years or so of no use and exposure to sun, rain and even snow.
Watch part #2
Did you find a replacement dial for the gas control? I bet it's fairly cheap and would complete the grill you faithfully restored.
No I would like to find one still looking for a stand just can’t find them cheap enough, dails use to be 15 bucks on eBay one day
Man you do things the hard way. Some spray oven cleaner does the job and better without all that scrubbing. I know because that is how I cleaned my Weber Q2000 and it turned out better and cleaner than the job you did. That also goes for the grill plate as well. You just have to hose it off well after leaving for 30 minutes.
Did you Pat yourself on the back after you typed that?
Restoration? You just washed dude ! And changed the igniter....omg!!!! What a restoration!!!!
It was a Regulator not an igniter Patrice
Great job Andrew! What software do you use?
Hey Al! Just iMovie
& Phonto for thumbnails
The food looks awesome. I knew you cooked, but, WOW! I can't wait to watch some of your videos.
And if you do not like the faded out plastic caused by sun or weather, you can refresh them with this ua-cam.com/video/VU7vXMezW_I/v-deo.html
I had an old makita table saw and restore the plastick back to oem.
was just a cleanning more than a restoration bud
14,000 views later, than do it and make a video.
Sorry I think I overreacted but this thing was disgusting when I bought it for 7 dollars. In video #2 I bypassed the old regulator & put a series of connections on it to do so. Again I apologize.
why didn't you close the lid when you did the steaks?
Sorry didn't watch the whole thing :)
I did you just didn’t see it...
How did you clean the heating element? That was the reason it didn't start! You should of shown that it was the most important part!
With a paperclip. I shown it. This is 3 of 3. I shown it in part 1 or 2. There’s 3 videos.
It didn’t start cause it needed a new regulator, I bypassed it in the 2nd video. I redid all the fittings in part #2.
$7? That's unbelievable.
7 bucks plus tax!
What’s For Dinner? I just bought one for $40, and I thought it was the greatest thing this week.
In part 2 I did buy some parts for it wasn’t too expensive... they are great grills
What’s For Dinner? I cooked some steaks on it. I can't believe that little grill (at 8500 btu) can produce so much heat for the seared marks.
Yep it’s the cast iron grill grates!
Хреново очистил
Really? A 14+-min. video on scrubbing? Nothing new here.
Yet you take the time to comment
So working hours are for free? I’d say yoúve spent around 250$ with labor and you got a pretty shitty looking grill at the end...
