- Had a bit of fun today with the Rans S6S and the Parallel 42 Campout Utility in Microsoft Flight Simulator - flying from Binsari to Borme in Papua - just over the border from Papua New Guinea.
You can get the Campout Utility from Orbx:
orbxdirect.com/product/p42-ca...
And the Rans S6S from SimMarket:
secure.simmarket.com/flyboy-s...
... and from Inibuilds:
store.inibuilds.com/collectio...
Great fun! :)

By far the most entertaining MSFS video I've seen. Had no idea all these little airstrips were in the sim. Brilliant stuff.
Bush flying is tons of fun! What you're missing out on though is some off-strip landings.
I returned the next day and went off-strip :)
Super video with quite nifty flying and landings.
Nice route!! Flew it in the Supercub. Of course weather was different, but very fun indeed.
Love getting into and out of those small airfields
Love the bush flying, generally fly the wilga 104 for these trips. Great video as always mate.
Love the Wilga :)
MMMMM can smell the Bangers and Mash from here
I have the Rans, love it for Idaho, Utah or Arizona backcountry flying.
It's very forgiving, isn't it.
@@jonbeckett even in real life they are relatjvely easy to fly aircrafts, the big difference in sim is the landing, in MSFS you can land roughly but nothing happen, in RL the undercarriage is broken if you fon't land like it should be.
I'm sure you hear this a lot, but this is soooo much better in VR. And easier, I dare say, due to depth perception.
Great flying ! Thank you!
You're welcome :)
That was absolutely brilliant!!
Wilga the dog looks to be a bit of a unit to be getting back into the plane for the return trip. Careful weights and measures for fuel needed I think.
Hahaha
Tasmanian Devil jumps out and eats a tire!
Hah
It’s in the Indonesian part of the mountains.
Great video! Try it with the Kodiak or the C208 ;-)
I'll do a trip with the 208 soon :)
Very cool
Well done, Jon.
Cheers :)
Interesting little runways you landed at.
Yep - that was the whole point.
Reminds me of Missionary Bush Pilot Ryan who flies the Kodiak into these fields in real life.
Yep - must be an interesting job :)
The french gas station in the scenery ... even not. I would like to know who is the developer that think there is a gas station in such a wild place. 🤣🤣🤓😜
I think they probably just say "gas station", and the sim did the rest :)
Lol You’d be surprised! I’ve done a lot of real world flying in some very remote places, and seen things like that! Or, a telephone hind on a pole, all by itself out in the middle of nowhere.
No kidding.
Since you fly virtually every plane in the sim what is your favorite bush plane?
Wilga.
@@jonbeckett that’s kind of what I figured you would say. I love flying it as well. It’s so responsive and the vision is very good. Thanks for another great video. Going to have to fly some down there.
Put the snowman in the fire?
(I can hear Olaf singing already)
