MOIST CHOCOLATE CAKE with Cocoa Ganache

- Moist Chocolate Cake
Perfect DIY cake for any occasion at your home during this time of pandemic.
Very moist, soft & delicious!
✔️Cake Batter
2 large eggs
1/2 cup fresh milk (or evap) [120 ml]
1/4 cup veg. oil [60 ml]
1 tbsp vinegar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup white sugar [100 grams]
1 cup all purpose flour [128 grams]
1/3 cup cocoa powder [35 grams]
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
✔️Ganache
1/2 cup cocoa powder [50 grams]
1/2 cup powdered sugar (or granulated) [60 grams]
1 tbsp cornstarch flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup fresh milk (or evap) [240 ml]
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 tbsp butter
✅CORRECTION ON COCOA POWDER UNIT CONVERSION (please ignore the gram unit of cocoa in the video & follow as listed below)
1/3 cup = 35 grams
1/2 cup = 100 grams
Baking pan size: 8 inch
Baking time: 25-30 mins @180C (baking time / temp varies with oven specs, mine is conventional oven with bottom flame only)

Thanks a ton for the recipe !The sponge turned out to be so soft and fluffy ,mainly it wasn’t dense unlike other recipes.A small alteration I did was to add about 1/4 cup of hot water to the batter , made it super light and airy 🙌🏼
The first thing I learned to bake in the kitchen (11 yrs. old) was a chocolate cake like this. The first time it did not come out well. I kept at it until my mother was begging me to make chocolate cake cause it was better than hers. 😋 I have not made a cake from scratch in years...time to do it. Thanks for bringing back a nice memory, too.
I am back. And, I did make that cake again. Funny how you remember things as you go along. Like sifting my flour. It turned out marvelous. My hubby and I gobbled it up. Wow, I forgot how rich it was. Goodness, it is good.

hi, 2 days at room temp, around 2 weeks if kept in fridge, or can last to a month or more if kept in the freezer.
is it necessary to add cornflour or cornstarch in ganache
yes, cornstarch will thicken the ganache

Hello po. Medyo confusing lang po yung measurement ng cocoa powder po. Hindi po 1/3cup ang 45grams.
hi, opo na confused nga din ako hehe😁. conversion error🙏it should be 35 grams, but 1/3 cup unit measurement is still correct. if 45 grams will be used its ok not much impact on the flavor😊salamat po sa pag notice👍 i will note this on the description box.

Gumawa po ako ngayun, sinunod ko po lahat ng ingredients pero 30 minutes na po gumagalaw pa po sa gitna tapos pag test ko ng toothpick basa pa po talaga sya
Ano po kaya naging problema?
hi, nagdedepend din po sa type ng oven ang baking time nya. natatagalan po maluto ang middle ng cake dahil mahina or matagal naddistribute ang heat sa part na yun. Sa ganyang case po iextend nyo lang po ang baking time until magfirm na sya.

you can reduce the temp po, pag nagccrack top po it means sobrang init. nagddepend po tlga sa oven.
do we need to pore the ganache on cake while its hot or wait till it comes to room temperature
