I don't see much people who actually tried this so I wanna share that I used this recipe (excluding the ganache) for my chocolate oreo cake and it was really REALLY good. Everyone enjoyed it and loved how moist it was. The measurements were enough to make two layers of an 8 inch cake. For everyone wondering if this is a recipe worth trying, it definitely is :)
A trick for making ganache, add 1-2 tbsp of corn syrup to the ganache for an extra glossy finish. It'll also help retain some of the shine if the cake is refrigerated!
I tried this recipe and I’m just going back to this video to say - thank youuu! This is so good! And they’re true to their words that the cake is moist!
there’s something so comforting and familiar about watching tutorials and videos in general by Featr. It’s like a cup of hot chocolate on a cold rainy day. ❤️🥺
Thanks for this!!It makes baking look easy and not too intimidating. I just would like ask, what brand and model of oven are you using? It look so sleek and space efficient.
I used hersheys cocoa and for the ganache mini hersheys special dark chocolate.i also used evap milk and ung flour ung Maya na mabibili s savemore ang sarap nagustuhan ng mga kids ko 💕 ty so mch for sharing the recipe 🥰
I tried this recipe yesterday and guess what...the cake turned out supermoist..my brother is a foodie and he loved the cake...tq for the recipe... now m looking forward for a supermoist vanilla cake for my mom's birthday ....plzzzz brother do a video on super moist vanilla cake
Made this cake today and very impressed how good it was- very moist. Was heavy handed the cream when making the genache but the cake is highly recommended, specially for those who love chocolate cake. Will make this again soon, thank you for your chanel- Lea
I've tried this recipe and it was amazinggg. If you're looking for the perfect chocolate cake with simple instructions this is the one for you. I made this with compound chocolate and still turned out pretty good. Next time making this with the actual chocolate.
I tried this recipe.. baked for my father’s birthday and cake turned out soft and moist even after a few days.. medyo nag epic fail lang ako for my ganache.. next time alam ko na. Thank you for sharing.👍
Tried the chocolate cake. I love it. I might have a little bit of changes to my taste and my oven temperature, but it is so good!!! By the way, what size pan is the baking tray in this recipe? I tried 9". Is it too small for this cake recipe??
thanks for this recipe. i baked it yesterday and friends who had a slice said it was super moist and delicious. you mentioned to bake it at 350C for 35 minutes but mine took around 45 mins. when i took out it of the oven and let it rest, the center of the cake sort of collapsed. can you please tell me how to avoid this thing from happening again? good thing that the chocolate ganache made up for the collapsed center. thanks for your reply, Chef Martin even if it took me this long to try out this chocolate cake recipe.
I use the same recipe and I usually use cream with at least 36 - 40% fat. All Purpose cream works but if you want a more decadent ganache, go for heavy cream.
In the part of making ganache, may I know if you are used heavy cream or all purpose cream? I want to try this cake procedure it's perfect for my project in bread and pastry. Hoping to answer this question thank you✨🤍
The cream used in ganaches is Heavy Cream which is used to whip for Chantilly cream . Is heated to the pont that tiny bubbles start to form around the surface
Hi po lodi Chef Martin...moist choco cake has always been my fave pero bawal na po kasi sa akin ang anything na may chocolate flavor. Kaya ask ko lang po, can you make a moist ube cake for me please. Thank you chef 😊
Cake looks fab and will certainly try it. Just wish you would give us the quantities in grams /mls as I prefer this to cups (level/loose/packed??). Just going to work out gram equivalents then I am off to bake.
I didn’t follow the recipe exactly I added sugar with the wet ingredients and poured the dry ingredients to the wet little by little. And I saw that if you bet well with a bet machine the cake is more moist and still rises. If you do it with a hand mix it’s dry and doesn’t rise and it’s just a biscuit. Honest review. And I under baked it a little.
What's the oven temperature? Nobody is talking about it.
0:41 350 F :)
@@featrmedia sorry I missed it. Thank you.
usually pag sinabing 'preheat your oven to n degrees..' yun na din gagamitin mong cooking temp
In your facebook page it said 250F, i had to double check here in yt. I am naking it now.
Looks yummy, Am gonna try this! 🤤🤗😘

@@faustinasy7404 Hello! Yes it stays moist for around 5 days based on my experience.
This is the Hershey’s perfectly perfect chocolate cake on the back of their cocoa box
For how long is the baking time and what temprature should the oven is pre heated? ☺️

Hi, can glucose be a substitute? thanks :D
will glucose also work? :)
@@pattypagdato4607 Try it out! I don't see why that couldn't work.
@@hannahippo i will! thanks!!
Do you think the ganache could be used for a bundt cake as well?

Hi! Can I ask what kind of milk you used for the ganache?
For me i will add the butter if the ganache cools at 34c and use immersion blender. That will make my life easier working with chocolate😊😉
This is what im waiting for. Oddly satisfying to watch.
Wow the receipe worked out perfectly! Everyone enjoyed it. Thank you✌
You make it look sooo easy to do, Chef! Will try, one of these days... TVM for the ‘essentials’ this morning😍

Quick question, what kind of cream do you use? Heavy cream, or is it just an all purpose cream?
Same question 🥰
I’m almost certain it’s heavy cream.
I think they use heavy cream
I use the same recipe and I usually use cream with at least 36 - 40% fat.
All Purpose cream works but if you want a more decadent ganache, go for heavy cream.
what brand for heavy cream?
Thanks for the recipe, Chef Martin!! You are indeed the best!
made it look so easy. but the essential tips tho, didn't know all those. nice!!

Wow pborito ko yn chocolate cake
Thanks for posting this easy tutorial lesson in making chocolate cake,.. love it !!!
Thanks for sharing! How much water do I need for the coffee?
Beginner question, what specific type of milk should I use? 😅
for the cake batter, some even use evap. but u can use any type of milk you want.
for the ganache, use all purpose cream.
Evaporated milk or fresh milk works. 😊
Chef to the ganache: it's not so hard but it stands on its own...
Me: 👀👀👀
Im waiting for this!! Thank you♥️♥️

I really want to try this one ! But I don't have oven po , pwede po Kaya i steam?

wax paper and parchment paper cannot be interchanged - using wax paper to line your pans for baking is a big NO.
Super yummy!!! I like how you make it!
Is there a link to the full recipe.....oven temp? pan size? And what is pack cream....heavy cream??
thanks for the organize teaching
