I've been listening to music of different styles for ages. Many songs and artists impressed me. But Ren is something very special. Is it the authenticity? The incredible talent? The always brilliant performance? Ren is just really something special!
The beauty with Ren is you don't have to listen to a lot of artists ... I've said it before... no genre can hold him.
Watched the Premier and realized how much I missed Ren and his unique voice.☮
He suffused it with emotion in a way I just wasn't expecting. Sideswiped me toward the end (Anthony Ray too, think he heard it at the right time.)
I think it also needs reiterating that he does the retakes and covers for fun and to celebrate the original artist. They don't usually go on Spotify etc. He doesn't monetise them usually because he doesn't get the rights to use it commercially. He waid in chat it would be fun if Fred Again heard about this mash up so it's unofficial. He made this whole thing just for the music. ❤

This made me cry , touched something deep. Then I opened two fortune cookies first one said , Music is the soul of language , the second one said, It is better to light one small candle than to curse the darkness. I got chills and still crying.
I have been so obsessed for almost 2 years!!! I almost exclusively listen to Ren…. And here we go some more!!!
I can see by his playing methods that he is not formally trained in classical guitar but man, he absolutely understands it, probably just because of his incredible musical mind. At the end of his first little interlude/solo, he absolutely smashed a (Baroque) classical progression and style.
I always remind myself that while formal classical theory and composition has all of these norms and rules, it started out with people simply understanding what impact musical expression has in the human being. They simply created a system to notate and share it. The music previously existed. Ren definitely has this understanding.
Rens voice is so raw and amazing. And even though this is a cover, he telling a story. Also Gorran his BP band mate is going live Monday, will be nice to see what he is up too. Romain has been dropping a lot of great tunes also.
Ren is such a rare diamond. It's the emotion he puts into everything he does that gives me goosebumps every damn time!

For all the love and gratitude we shower on Ren, he is still fighting his battles on his own. I imagine thar when he is mentally and physically worn down or just trying to sleep, the noise of the day subsides and he's left with self-doubt, fear, and perhaps loneliness. Every set back like the recent drop in blood sugar seems like a failure. He doesnt impress me as the kind of person who basks in our adulation or congratulates himself for his accomplishments. There's always so much more he wants to do and though his health is much better, he may feel the clock is ticking much too quickly me

It's been so many times now that I have this worry that the next one couldn't possible live up to my expectations and here I am yet again, blown away.
Being familiar with Fred Again's amazing high vibe EDM tracks, I was Not expecting an emotional accoustic cover but, my bad, as one should always expect the unexpected with Ren! And he really pulls out the feels just basically busking for us all from his living room to ours, from his soul to ours. I loved it.
This song resonated with me so hard, especially the end. I've been struggling and trying to find myself again. Ren has a way of evoking so much emotion and connecting with people. Love your reactions, Cliff. ❤

I was so excited to have finally made it to a Ren premiere. And then I was crying ( I think my comment was “Why am I crying “). You nailed it; it’s the rawness and authenticity of Ren and how those things resonate with so many people. His voice is the perfect conduit for human emotion. By the ending I was absolutely wrecked- even more so when I saw him put his hand on his shaking leg. I couldn’t listen to it again. My heart just broke. He’s been through so much and ,despite the success of the past year ( which he deserved tenfold) he’s still going through it, still away from home, dealing with it while managing the success and the added work that comes with it.
