Just a FYI, this is part 1 of a planned 3 part song. They recorded the 2nd part and there's a lyric video for it but they haven't yet filmed a real video. The 3rd song they haven't released yet. Ren discovered Sam while busking and helped him be able to make money with it. He also helped teach him guitar and piano. He's like an older brother to Sam.

I came across Sam and Ren though their busking video of Blind Eyed a few years back. Please check it out, both artists are outstanding. Sam has some bangers too (faded, (w)hole, Charlie, Hero) and he's always releasing new music. Different style to Ren but he covers some deep subjects too.

Love the story time with Cliff. If this track can bring up conversations like this that'll sit in the mind's of people that need to hear it to help them at a time when that "friend" tries influencing them in a damaging way then it's worth it's weight in gold for that reason alone.

I'm really glad that you wised up and got out of that life before it was too late. That is a life I was born into, both of my parents were drug dealers so I can relate to a lot of what you said. And it's incredible to hear you open up about all of it. I've been watching your videos for a few months now and, long before coming across this video, I could tell that you had a difficult past. The way you talk to your followers, the way you end all of your videos by reaching out a hand and offering help to anyone who's struggling is what gives it away. It's a telltale sign of someone who knows what it's like to need help and end up having to help themselves. Just like how Gandhi said to be the change you want to see in the world, you seem like you try to be the person you wish you had when you needed it most. I want you to know that your efforts to reach out are seen and very much appreciated. I'm going through a lot and my social anxiety keeps me from reaching out to anyone for help, but watching your videos and just knowing you're here helps too. Thank you.

I have lost a bunch of friends for exactly this song, one time I was in the car but the only one having seatbelt on, so nothing happened to me. A friend who as you I barely remember saying goodbye to him, very drunk and woke up to the news he got killed in a car accident on his bike, driving drunk home.

I learnt the hard way about drink driving, unfortunately I think sometimes it's the only way we do, woke up in hospital. Wrapped my car around a lamppost, luckily I was the only one injured.

Good example of peer pressure
This happened to my nephew, he was riding shotgun after a music festival where they were all drinkin', tokin', & flippin', then his boy, his childhood bff, he started accelerating, my nephew begging him to slowdown, trying to take the wheel & kick the truck down into lower gear to slow them down, but his boy ran the engine into the red. They went off the road & crashed into a light post, none of them in seatbelts, my nephew was thrown thru the windshield & his body bounced across the rd like his boy turned him into a skippin' stone, he flew 80yd from the truck. Their friends in the back had concussions, some cuts & bruises, but they survived, however, his boy driving was killed on impact when pieces of the truck & glass from the windshield pierced his skull & torso, & my nephew was in critical condition w/several broken vertebrae, 2 broken legs, a broken arm, a skull fracture & internal bleeding, he had emergency surgery & was on a ventilator, he was kept that way for wks, they didn't know if he would survive when they removed the tubes, but he did. It was a long physical recovery for my nephew, several more surgeries, months of being hospitalized & nearly a year being wheelchair bound, having to learn to walk & shit again, but he still hasn't recovered from laying on the pavement & opening his eyes to see his bestfriend w/a sharp of glass in his skull & a steering column in his torso & not being able to move or remain conscious long enough to try to help him & the kids in the back. My nephew has physically recovered, he stopped partying & he now runs his own high-end construction company w/several employees under him, the homes he builds or renovates look like state of the art masterpieces, & he has a wife who's 3 kids he adopted. I was 8 when he was born, so we spent some time growing up together, & though I'm his aunt & older, he has a far more fulfilling & successful life than I, & I'm so very proud of him & grateful he survived.

I've been through this too. My friend died when we were 14 yo. I wasn't with him, but when I heard, the only thing that I remember was the last time I saw him. It still hits me like a punch in my chest from Mike Tyson.

Thanks for sharing your stories. I've been in insane situations with crazy-ass people and I have been the crazy-ass person putting other people in situations. Somehow made it through and got out of doing stuff like that a long time ago.
I had friends in the past that i had to part from because they were pushing me to do dumb shit. Im glad we split off but i still miss them.
This is a hard one to watch. One of my friends was driving drunk, while his license was suspended. Crashed into another car with 4 people inside. They were injured but not badly, thank goodness. My friend's car caught fire and he didn't make it.

I thought this one would be a good one for you to analyse, i believe sam and ren is where it began in terms of public videos. Theres a part 2 to this song which continues the story. Sam and ren - blind eyed was my first experience of them and what led me down the rabbit hole of sam and ren and the big push.

I've drove home drunk more times than I care to admit in my younger years, fortunately I was a lucky one but I've had friends that weren't so lucky. I won't even have one drink if I know Im going to be driving nowadays. I haven't drove with any alcohol in my system or being high in over 15 years now.

8:08 i gladly never did this. When ever i was the driver i never even sipped on alcohol. I also never tried drugs. I also never passanger in a car where the driver is drunk. The only accidents that i had so far were because i fell asleep
