    Love this tutorial! Everything else I've seen on geodes uses ice dying techniques and I'm so relieved I found something that's not that haha...great video

    I let my sinew sit in the sun a couple of hours before i tie, it loosens the wax up and makes it easier to pull it tight.

    Great tutorial! I just have randomly stumbled upon the idea of tie dyeing like 5 mins ago, from some yt shorts 😆 and now I find myself here, with such a well explained and made easy to follow tutorial already 😃 Also, with a cool outcome of it!
    Thanks, I like creative DIY things like that, so maybe I will try that out in sometime 😁 Wish you even more cool ideas like this and greater audience!

    Do you think I’d get a similar effect if I just use rubber bands or would that be to thin

    Great tutorial. I love how every shirt is individual, no two alike. Is the sinew waxed to keep it from unraveling?

    • @Xeyxey0
      @Xeyxey0 Рік тому

      That, and it keeps it from fraying, and I think it helps keep the dye from soaking through the string to get that white line.

    This is amazing. I've never done this, but I think it would look great on bedsheets. Would that be too big?

    Hey, I'm curious.... Why not grab both layers? Why only tie on one layer? Thanks 😊

    Very nice! Do you thicken your liquid dye so it doesn’t run too far? Thank you.

    what if you want to make just one or two geodes... what do you do with the rest of the shirt

    • @Emeraldwitch30
      @Emeraldwitch30 6 місяців тому

      You could just crumple the rest or plain dye it.
      My granddaughter tried one where she had a dry shirt and dripped the dye on in spots flat then slowly sprayed it with water to absorb across the shirt. It turned out quite nice too.

    Hi is there any alternatives to sinew if there is I would love 2 know!

    • @LanasTieDyes
      @LanasTieDyes  5 місяців тому

      You could try rubber bands but you probably wont be able to get them tight enough to create the white lines

    • @Ratworld6

    Can you use rubber bands instead?

    • @LanasTieDyes
      @LanasTieDyes  7 місяців тому

      Rubber bands dont get tight enough to get those nice white lines! Plus the waxy threads also helps keep line whites:)
