Artists’ vision of what the future finished art will look like and from that vision knowing how and where to fold/crimp together is mesmerizing to me. It beautiful.
you don't think its done on intuition? creative processes aren't moving from A ('imagined end result') to B (actual end result).
@@bartjuhbeekmans they are if you are trying to make a certain design in a tie dye shirt. I mean if you want a spiral pattern you have to know how to crimp/fold it to know that the end result is the tie dye pattern you wanted.
@@bartjuhbeekmans it’s not done on intuition
There are rules to this

he’s an absolute master for sure!!! someday tie-dye is going to be collectible art and this man will be at the top of the game
You are a master of the folding and tying and dyeing! Your shirts are works of art.
Grandios 👍🏻
Especially the dying part. Reincarnation is surprisingly fun!
@@terriffingtea ??
@@lydess_ Exactly what do you mean? You'll have to put in more context, than just "??". A question mark is a sign of misunderstanding or perplexity, putting two only accentuates your unknowing thoughts; to put two question marks without anything else isn't all that helpful. If you're unsure on something then addressing the problem is the best way to go about it, rather than just displaying you're uncertain of whatever it may be.
@@terriffingtea i am uncertain of what you said. i didnt understand anything you wrote, did you just not understand what kelly loomis wrote or are you just trying to make fun of them? i also infact dont have to put more context than two question marks because its predictable of what im questioning about. the only thing you can predict im questioning about is your comment. i simply did not understand it. its not a specific part of your comment its the whole thing. i don't know if your just a 7 year old kid trying to look smart or a 50 year old man just being stupid because no matter which one you are you're still just going to be marked as stupid. also, now that you have read this far, i just want to tell you that we wasted at least 5+ minutes of each others time
it never fails to amaze me when you combine the blue and the yellow to make the green part of a gradient. like, i GET that that’s the most basic color theory there is, but it still gets me every time
My favorite thing to do is to keep a spare wet tshirt near by, and use that as a rag to clean up all the spills and drips. Comes out really cool looking
Cool looking but also disgusting..
@@cherrysoda. you do realize I’m talking about the dye spills and drips right. Not old food stain
@@aoj53 yeah I know
But still a food spill tie dye sounds disgusting
that sounds really cool!! should try that
So u guys like sit at home and tye dye stuff all day?
Amazing. The last time I tie dyed was in June 1969, the last day of the fifth grade. Hippies were teaching back then. Thanks so much.
Best time ever
It's come a long way, hasn't it?
You make pleating look so easy. Your folds are a work of art by themselves, never mind the rest of the tie-dye -job itself. Absolutely amazing, this is truly inspiring. :o
Yes!
The first time I watched, I skipped to the "good part" when they revealed the finish product.
However, I had to go back and watch the entire thing to see exactly how they got the folds so symmetrical and perfect!
Amazing.
I would love to try doing this some time.
The twinkle of white left in the diamonds are a great effect!
Also like your use of grey and black which accentuate the rich colour while holding the whole tee down from going rainbow la la.
The folding………mesmerising!
I didn’t know tye dye art like this was a thing!! glad I do now, this is beautiful. keep it up!!
Your dyes seem to really come out well! Very vibrant and rich, and the way to blend colors helps too!
Just came up randomly on my feed but I was mesmerized and couldn't stop watching the preview. I had to see how it would turn out. This is probably the COOLEST tie-dye job I've ever seen. Absolutely fantastic ❤
Absolutely masterful. It looks like you’ve managed to re-create the chakra points, or at least some of the chakra points, in a tie-dye T-shirt :-)
I envisioned this too!🤩 Reminds me much of Chakra. Would love to see him intentionally make a chakra one sometime.
but accurate colours of them are:
throat/Vidhudha - lite blue
heart/Anahata - green
stomach/Manipura - yellow
genitals/Svadhishtana - orange
root/Muladhara - red
🤩
Was thinking the same thing! Maybe he could even do one with the lower three chakras and another shirt with the upper four. Whatever he does, it'll be amazing!!
definitely getting that when it hits goodwill
This was absolutely satisfying, clean, and professional. Very top notch.
I own one die dyed T shirt that I bought over 35 years ago. Still my favorite. Still wear it often. I just ordered a bunch of those bottles and I have fabric paint, so you might have inspired me to do some die dyes of my own.💝
Absolutely love this design! I could watch you fold and dye shirts all day! I want to try and do something like this myself one day! Thanks for sharing your art!
Did you? :) And how did it go?
Wow! I never saw that coming :-) :-) :-) I feel inspired I can’t wait to try some God bless
WOW! Just... WOW! I can't take my eyes off of the finished, gorgeous, stunning, and mesmerizing finished piece of ART. Masterfully done!
It’s no wonder i was asked to pay $50 back in the 90’s for a T-shirt. I had absolutely no idea these shirts were a colossal undertaking. Kudos to all those skilled and patient enough to make these incredibly beautiful designs. WOW!!!!
Thanks for showing the entire process. Really nice result.
Did not expect it to look that good. Great work.
Out of all the shirt you do I don't know which one's my favorite I love them all you are so talented is there anyway that you can buy one if you wanted to buy from you are you just teaching people
I have seen a lot of ART in my long life but nothing like this! This is amazing and you are a true ARTIST!!!
I will now call you master of die dye! THIS IS REMARKABLE! WOW! THANK YOU FOR SHARING! 💕
probably the coolest tie die ive ever seen
Thank you for showing the whole process. It's fascinating!!
I'm gonna try this. Not sure how I'll do! Only one way to find out!!!!!😍🥰
I hate to give you a thumbs up because now I will be inundated with vids vaguely associated with this one for the next three months, but I had to. Way too cool. 👍👍👍👍👍
That turned out really cool! The grey separating the diamonds from the vivid rainbows was a great touch!
It’s like breaking into a type dye geode! So cool!
Love this as in the 70’s did lots of tie dying but what is the “soda ash”?
Also finished look is how you put on the rope or rubber bands!
That's beautiful ❤️. I love the colors you used, and the design.
This man is an ARTIST... WOW!!!!
BEAUTIFUL
Once I saw how it looked when it was out of the rubber bands I legit said “yo that’s sick” out loud, because it really is that awesome, you did an amazing job!
These are amazing. ...YOu are the Wizard of Tye Dye. Now I want to get some old t's and give it a try.

The reason I clicked on this video is... I am an Acting Director teaching students acting for Film and Theatre... I want to do these Tie-Dye T-shirts for the kids for Summer Camp...
I don't know where to buy T-shirts... and what Dyes to use.
Thank you so much for sharing this great Tie Dye T-shirts. BEAUTIFUL
Awesome. The shirt looks like the infinity stones 😃
Absolutely amazing! Found a new hobby and a way to make some extra cash!Thank you!!!
That looks AMAZING!!! I love tie-dye so much.
Far-Out Man!!
Total Coolness
What an awesome shirt. You truly have a gift.
Thank you ART, God I love you, hehe! What a wonderful piece, and display of your rubber band wizardry 🪄
lol, speaking of Wizardry... I think I just pulled off some of my own magic with some Tulip One Step dye that I bought to Introduce myself to the craft. I dyed some bib overalls and the are curing right now, I want to know how a master like yourself suggests rinsing, and washing it for the first time? I don't have synthrapol, but I saw you use color safe bleach to do the same thing I'm guessing? If so.I have clorox color safe bleach, not sure if any brand will work. any suggestion would be awesome. All I know is I'm an ultra noob to this art and have just made what has the potential to be ultra epic, and I want to make the final result last. I realize you don't use that basic dye I'm referring to, but I figure with all your experience you could steer me in the right direction. ANY reply is wonderful, thank you, it really means a lot to me! If I'm right, and they turn out Insane I'll share them with you. Thx again :) Keep inspiring!!!
Dang!! What a talent, that is true art!
I just thought I wanted to learn how to tie dye. NOW I want to LEARN how to tie dye. Feel so blessed to see the BEST 🙏🌈💗🌊💦🍄💚💜🟣🤯
This has to be one of the best I’ve seen!!
Almost resembles the chakras ! Exceptional work!
Holy shit... I thought for sure this was going to be a busy mess with so many colors and such a complicated design.... Little did I know. That thing's GORGEOUS.
Another excellent creation! I always forget to tell you I like the music you select for your videos. Thanks
I like how you use color mixing to save time/dye--letting the blue and yellow bleed together to save you from adding green yourself
I'm wondering, are you able to calculate in advance how to fold and where to put the colors to get the result of a prepared design, or do you "wing it" and go with the flow, knowing more or less what it will do in the end via experience? In any cases, this is gorgeous. I've never had any interest in this before but you definitely gave it to me !
Thank you! First I imagine what will be the end result so I planned it in my mind, from folding and what color to use. Then while working, I'd say wing it and go with the flow. I'll admit, sometimes I my self surprised with the end result. ✌️😅
Love your tutorial and I believe I can go for it 😀 which I am.
Question how many spaces at the tail part so I can get that right
Are these acid dyes or reactive? How do you set the colors so they don’t run later? It’s really amazing work you have done 🤩
@@gigilaroux762they're fiber reactive dyes and you use soda ash to prep the fabric so it holds the color :)
Wow very nice result
Lovely Art
Почти светофор!) 👍🏼красиво получилось😊

Best tie dye i have ever seen.
Tie dye is one of this things where you have to ABSOLUTELY trust the process, and when you do you get this
Wonderful! Thank you I will keep watching and will do.
😊👍 I Love Tye-dye!
The argyle like pattern is cool
Tie dye = tying it off and dyeing. I finally get it after 30 years!
Pretty Cool
Felicitaciones te quedó muy divina
