Please do a video on the supplies you use that work best! Brand of shirts, best fabrics to die (ex. Cotton, wool, canvas, etc?), which brand of dye you use and where you purchase it! Thanks, also how long do your projects or shirts hold their colour for, with washing/wearing? :) great video! Also, you might want a drop cloth or old sheet to protect your table, especially wood the dye will stain!

It turned out great but my note to anyone trying it, make sure the top of the heart (where it indents) is steep enough because since it bleeds it will look like a circle lol.

Thank you! I think I need smaller bands. The ones I have are already small but I was trying to do a kids shirt and it wasn’t gripping it much across the heart line. Then I tried to wrap it over with the same one and I couldn’t see the line any more. Not sure if I could have winged it and did it anyway but I didn’t trust myself enough. So after about 30 tries, I just threw the shirt in a spiral and added the dye 🤦🏻♀️.

hey i have a tiedye tutorial on a spiral design which is the most basic tiedye technique. It's a great place to start for beginners and it was the first design i ever attempted. Most craft stores have tiedye kits that you can buy and i would start out with those. Also i highly recommend using 100% cotton shirts because they hold dye in the best. Dye on a rack over a bowl to prevent flipping your shirt over and into the excess dye laying on the table. You can get spots of colors you don't want.
