I like that you can tell that it's still watermelon inspired even after you unfold it! Some of the videos where people do patterns on the folded shirt, you'd never know what the inspo was when it's finished.
The folding is very impressive but it took a whole 2 minutes, which might not seem like a lot, but it does seem like a lot when you actually watch the video.
I’m surprised that you barely got any dye on your hands. The last time I tie dyed I got dye all over my hands and some on my feet. I somehow got a streak across my forehead
The best, keep it up! I want to add a suggestion, maybe you could do an experimental fold with experimental colours? No idea just an idea. Or even a blind dye (you fold the shirt however you want but you’re blindfolded, then you get your dyes but you can’t see the colours
You always fold the shirts so neatly, I wish I could do that. Unfortunately my impatient side usually overturns my perfectionist side and I'll just quickly fold and stuff the shirt together so I can put the die on already haha
This should be a full time thing cause your so amazing at it like you could show people how to do it in real life then people get it for money. If you already have done it then i fully approve! 😎
Omg am i first?! Love you videos. Actually i tried one of your folding techniques but im bad at it so it didnt work. Keep up the good work! You make it look easy!
A neat editing tip: wear the finished shirt in the beginning when you’re setting up a white tee, then cut to the footage of you actually making the tie dye, then at the end when you put the finished tie dye on and model it you reach over out of camera and pull a white tee onto the table and loop this footage to for the intro
I like how it's dyed like a half a watermelon, with the cut side on one side & the rind on the other. I also like the combination folds in the last couple of videos
So the longer it stays in before you wash it, the more vibrant it gets. So if you want pastel, then leave it in for maybe 4-6 hours and if you want vibrant, leave it in for like 24 hours or so. That's how I understand it at least
Adding on to zac, the water to pigment ratio is also a huge factor. The more water there is the less vibrant it’s going to be. The more pigment there is the more vibrant it’s going to be
The hobby stores carry a brand called Tulip, and its okay. Its good for beginners because it has the soda ash pre mixed into the dye powder. More advanced tie dye enthusiasts use brands like Dharma trading, Grateful Dyes, etc.... these require the shirt or item to be dyed to be soaked in a soda ash solution. Try the Tulip brand first to see if you like tie dye then move up to the others....good luck
Lookin awesome!! Although LOVE this video, in the end its not wat I expected. I don't even know wat i expected LOL but can you wear it in a videoand make a video on how you made it and how and or where you got the dyes? Love you videos btw!

Yeah that was the most amazing part
I do not have the patience. He’s amazing.
Can we just appreciate the way he just unfolds the shirt???
I'm more interested in how he folded it to begin with. That pleating was so perfect!
I would love to see you do multiple different types of fold and do the same pattern on each of them to see how folding makes a difference
That would nice to see

This is my favorite one so far!! Turned out amazing
oooo having the back be the outside of the watermelon was really neat I wouldn’t have thought of that!!
I do not understand how on the finished shirt the back looked so similar to the front when the video showed him only using green on the back.
This folding technique must have tooken so long-

How would you be able to make the colors more vibrant? living the dye for longer? using more soda ash? only buying another dye?
