If GT7 on PS4 makes all cars premium, (including the standards they have) use a better sound chip, have the ultimate physics, at least put damage, max out the graphics, and put weather and time change on every track, bring back the career mode from GT4, combine all soundtrack from GT1-GT5 (possibly add more DnB) and fit as much car developers as they could, I think it will make the ultimate racing simulator.

I just liked the layout of GT4. GT2 had better cash prizes, I will admit that. I just preferred the career being challenging. Then again, that is why I loved GT5 so much.

I have agree with the rest of the guys here, and say Gran Turismo 4 had the best career and gameplay.
Your con is something i would consider a pro.
Gran Turismo 4 made you start as an amateur driver and work your way up, and the way it made you progress and give you an opportunity to choose the direction you wanted to go in and the style of races you wanted try, it was definitely the best career as you got excited about the progression and the new cars and races you could try out when you got more and more cash and better licences.

It seems we have a difference in personal preference of how the game should progress.
What you have been criticising is what i would consider one of the reasons Gran Turismo 4 stood out, in a good way.
I don't want to start a game being able to race in top leagues with fast cars. I want to work my way up and make it feel special.
The pace and money you got in Gran Turismo 4 was great. It encouraged you to gather a lot of experience from a variety of amateur courses, and slowly work your way up and work for your faster dream cars.
Not forgetting the Licences were frickin' awesome in GT4.
We won't convince each other otherwise. Let us call it quits.

Grand turismo 1 was bad, grand turismo 2 was worse, grand turismo 3 was bad, grand turismo 4 was bad, grand turismo 5 was bad, and grand turismo 6 is bad. I think, grand turismo is worse than project CARS. Being as how long it took them to make their 4th game, it took Forza 2 year in between every game, and look at how good that game is

Me too. However, PC racing sims like Assetto Corsa, iRacing,and Project CARS are superior in physics and sound compared to Gran Turismo and Forza. I don't want to sound like a PC fanboy, but that's the truth.

GT2 would have been pretty great if it wasn't for the incessant tyre screaming..... You literally cannot drive at 20mph in a freaking Civic, whilst turning gently to the left, without producing smoke and listening to dying tyres, in GT2.
Well, you have to understand though that it's a freaking 20 year old game. For a 20 year old game I don't see many that can hold it's place around it.

GT4 is the best game in the series. The PS3 editions were OK, but not brilliant. GT5 was far too focused on XP, thus making it too long winded and GT6 was so easy, I completed it in three days.
Well, I'll have to disagree with you; it's the black sheep of the series for the fact that there are 80 license tests you complete in order to race all of the non-rally events.
GT2 would have to be the greatest, in my opinion. Though there are 60 license tests you have to complete to race all of the games's events, they are a lot easier than you think. Obtaining licenses in Simulation Mode unlocks more Arcade Mode maps.
New Gabe Order Well i found the licences in GT5 & 6 immensely easy compared to the others. Example where I had messed up the start of one of the tests and I still managed gold on the latest games, compared to gt3 in particular where you had to have perfect throttle control and precise cornering to just scrape a gold!
In GT6, you will only know about passing every damn moving opponent vehicle that runs in slow constant speed and having to drive spaceship ground vehicle with "Omega Boost-esque" thing on it.
And PD keep delaying GT Sport too much, don't say that they will releasing it on december that actually GT 20th anniversary of first release.
PS: Omega Boost is also PS1 game made by GT dev team and this is the first and last non-racing games that they made.
I just realised how amazing it is to actually think how far games have become... Seriously graphics wise and gameplay wise.. Games have improved so much :)

PD wanted to put in more for the PS3 with GT6 but they couldn't because of obvious limitations. It did set the benchmark when GT5 was released anyway. Knowing them, GT7 will not disappoint.. Gran Turismo has and always will be the greatest driving simulator of all time. A game that isn't about fancy supercars and easy handling, fancy sound effects and all that.. it's about pure driving engagement. From a loyal GT player since the original PS1 GT.

For those of you who think GT6 is shit, seriously you must not have played this. The graphics are ungodly, and being that it's the latest one in the series, they've really outdone themselves. Forza and many others tried to copy what the original GT had, and I'm sure they had improvements, etc, but they aren't GT. GT is absolutely awesome, and this 6th installment is no acception to the rule. Hell, I even have my daily driver (03 Honda Accord EX) running at an insane 500+ HP without nitrous. Lots of fun. Great Job Sony!!!! Another reason the Playstation will always be number 1.

I played Assetto Corsa, arguably the best racer out now. Amazing physics, graphics like GT4 in HD, nice sounds... and I put it away after I completed the first tier, haven't touched it since. For all its warts, it's really hard to beat the total package of immense car list, loads of tracks and plenty to explore in Gran Turismo. And the physics are very close to PC sims now. Can hardly wait for GT7.

My favorite thing about GT2 was how hilarous it behaved when you messed with some codes to do swaps. Accidentally made a Midget weigh 30,000kg, and it acted somewhat like a submarine.

GranTurismo series was epic until GT5. Worst part of GT games was always the sound of cars. Every car sounded like vacuum cleaner.

People hate GT all because it doesn't have the "realism" in it. Graphics, and car physics dont just make a racing game realistc you know. I am a die hard GT fan and i love the series to bits and i love all the games from PD. Don't hate on me because i have a different opinon to everyone else but GT 3 and 2 are my favourite games of all time and are my favourite racing games ever.
GT Grice 2 same here, but mines are gt2, and gt4. all the gt series are good in my opinion. i don´t know why, but i rather play the old ps1 and ps2 games over the ps3, and i have one to play!! gt4 is my all time favourite game, it just feels right in every way. i was playing gt2 on my ps2 a few hours ago. i love that game to, and i don´t care if it has worst graphics than the ps2 an ps3. with the ps1 harware they make wonderfull games and some nostalgic ones. lucky to me that i have many of the best ps1 titles .

+GT Grice 2 It's a problem of definition. If we are to rate Gran Turismo as a "simulator" - it is rather poor. But as someone who grew up playing GT1/2/3, I think they were some of the most fun games I ever played on console.
But no. Not in any way imaginable were they simulators! Not even with a wheel attached (Citation: I owned a pretty nice wheel for GT3). Great *games* though.

Traviltar I have the same thoughts. Would have been much more fitting to use something like "My Favorite Game". Seriously, GT2's opening video (NA version to be precise) was amazing and still holds up to it today.

GT4, What a game.. I spent an entire summer playing that game when I was 15. I had the Logitech Driving Force Pro. Man, what memories. Steering wheel, pedals, and shifter. I don't even remember how many cars or how much money I had in that game.

For all of my childhood, I only had one game, Gran Turisomo 1.
For me, that game was amazing for the longest time.
I am shocked to look at the graphics of it now for I saw it as perfection when I had played it then.

forza has some stupid ass boost shiznik going on gt all the way! only because I smashed 4 ps3 pads trying to beat vettels three times in the redbull x2010 and I did eventually beat him with a pad lols was the greatest achievement in my entire life! he laughs!

you would find out that forza has braking totally messed up and steering in a lmp is less responsive and the cherry on top is they dont test the handling of the real cars plus most people dont want to be nickle and dimed just to get cars that are in games before it dont call me a fanboy i have both i play both

They would of announced it already. Kaz said it's coming sooner than later or did he say sooner than what people think. I forget. Anyways, I say the soonest would be Spring 2016. But it could very well release in 2017.

+Haider Khan I agree. the crew is way under rated. there is customization, performance upgrades and a good selection of cars to choose from. it isn't no grand turismo but a good game. the driving is more arcade style but it isn't to far from a simulation in my opinion at least. it is a good and fun racing game. I just wish you could play it offline.
I would not consider Drive Club a flop. It had a horrible launch, yes, but after patches , becomes a beautiful and fun racing game.

Gran Turismo games are PlayStation exclusives. So no, it was just released for PlayStation 1. At that time XBOX had not appeared yet in market, until 4 years later, more or less when Gran Turismo 2 was released. GT FTW!

I started playing when I was five years old, with Gran Turismo 3. Then, after I got better, we bought Gran Turismo 4. This seemed to be so much better to me! And after a few years, my Dad read an article in a car magazine about the Vision Gran Turismo cars. I saw that he was totally flashed by that Mercedes VGT... One week later he brought a PS3 and GT6... First time I played, still remember it as it was yesterday, was with an orange Honda Fit on High Speed Ring. The grafics were enormously improved (also thanks to our new Panasonic Flatscreen TV, GT3 and 4 were fine on our old Toshiba Tube TV)... I'm so much looking forward to GT7 (or however it will be named) and a PS4... 😂 LOVEGRANTURISMO
Kinda sad, but this video shows how very little GT has changed over the years. I was a die hard fan from 1-4 (I bought a new modified PS2 just to play the Japanese version of GT4 just because I couldn't wait for the NA version), but the series went kind of stale from 5 and 6.

Personally, I found GT2 and GT4 to be the best in the series. GT2 was one of the best games on the PS1. Practically flawless, and though GT3 too is a legendary game, I found GT4 to be an all round improvement. GT5 had a chance of claiming the throne as the best in the series, but while it was an improvement in many ways, it had quite a significant amount of problems. GT6 was disappointing to say the least, even though it's become more enjoyable in recent updates. GT6 just felt uncharacteristically lazy in some ways, which is unusual for a GT game.

zoliswa mciteka GT2 was a brilliant game no doubt. My personal favourite PS1 game, but I felt GT3 and GT4 were more refined and focused. They were true sequels, but I respect GT1 and 2 for laying the foundations for the series.

I can remember being blown away by GT3's graphics. Unbelievable graphics at the time, and it still looks great today. Gran Turismo 3 is the best in the series imo.

Gt6 on ps3 just dosnt brin out its full potential. Its to old and tbh gt5 looked a hell of a lot better but what really pisses me off the most is that there is no realistic damage model. You can hit somone and he front bumper dosnt give 2 fucks.
the damage kind of suked lol but gt5 was way better minus a couple things like the damage and the tracks that were good like seattle midfield smokey mountain and el capitan idk I guess they just forgot about them.
The reason why it has bad damage because car companies dont like getting see that theyre car getting beat up i think..
are two reasons. the first is to be paid an amount to the car companies to destroy their image and the second is that if the car breaks the players break the car right away and be angry, especially in the online

i watched the GT documentary "KAZ" and it truly made me appreciate all the hard work kazunori yamauchi has put in and years of dedication to bring this game which has made some gamers into professional racecar drivers(GT academy). this game deserves a whole lot more recognition in my opinion.

I loved how in gran turismo 1 and 2 when you was far behind it was very easy to catch up to the ai.. but when you was in front they where crazy fast lol. good times
