Thank you for sharing! After spending weeks scouring UA-cam for inspiration on my first oceanscape, I can say you have THE BEST wave technique. So realistic. Beautiful artistry!
Thank you Tiffany! I'm sure you'll create some beautiful pieces. Power is in your will! Learning through trial and error has always been my best technique!
Well done! The art and the craft required to do such beautiful work are at such a high level. I love the way the colors flow around the edges of the panel so no picture frame is required. It’s one of the things that sets your work apart.
Love your art and great to see that Huntington Beach has inspired you as it has to me and my family a few years ago during our holiday in California. We live on the Gold Coast, Australia. Perhaps our Beaches here can also inspire you💜🙏. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work.

No words just wow how beautifully and easily you work happy for you when you painted the wood with ocean colours what acrylic paint you used and what did you mixed to it to brush over your wood panel Thank you for your time
Hi, excellent piece and video. Just a question, when you're adding the white resin at 5.03m, have you left the resin after mixing to thicken before using? I'm finding that my resin is too fluid so just moves as a blob rather than separating into strands (likes yours does) when applying the heat gun. Would welcome any advice. Many thanks. David
It is about trial and error numerous times to get your prefered brand of resin act as you wish. I use brand “Art Resin” which is not too fluid, just as I like it. If yours is too fluid, experiment with waiting a bit before pouring it down. It is hard to put in words, just try and never give up 💪
hey amazing work . I had a question. if you can pls help me understand. for the waves , i usually do we need to wait for the clear layer and white resin to thicken for 15-20 mins ? and then begin with the heat gun ??
This is really nice. I have a few questions for you. If I go with your multi-layer for a tabletop do I need to build a frame around to fill evenly resin where you have the wave foam on the sand. Currently shown that sand has a low point than the wave. Secondly, I notice you have a lot of action (waves) in deep water (deep blue area).
Could you do a video on how you build your boards and prep them. I love the way they have turned out a d I’m still learning to make them myself. The k you Rasko.
Hi, I'm completely in love with your work. It's perfect. I have a question, is this resin high viscosity? I'm from Brazil and I use low viscosity but the waiting time is too long.. anyway, your work is amazing, congratulations
Beautiful work. Do you mix the white pigment with resin or just use the pigment as is? I didn’t see any resin in the cup into which you poured the white. Thanks
I didn’t think you could use acrylic paint with epoxy?? I’ve been doing my bathroom vanities, but I just love this. I live inFlorida, so this would be perfect. Very beautiful. TFS
Lovely work! Quick question if I may. I'm making a similar project but my project does not have a frame; it is solid epoxy (with a couple of strips of wood inside). I'm at a loss about how to hang it. I'll have to attach something directly to the back side. Screws? Nails? Any ideas? Thanks
You may have to find a couple spots on the back to drill a couple holes in that will fit over screws in the wall. (Of course that may not be an option if the entire piece is translucent)
I’m so sorry for late reply. I simply overlooked your comment 😳 You need to drill directly into epoxy from the back and install some hanging hardware. Keep in mind that epoxy is very heavy, so anything you do, it has to be strong. If the project is very translucent, screws will be visible from front side…
Hi, I´m wondering what do you use in video for painting, I mean you use epoxy resin, but what kind of colors do you use, probably not normal colors for paper painting? So I would like to know what kind of colors and where did you get them, cause I really admire this art and I would like to do it myself.
Is that heat gun the1800 watt model and do you use the high setting to blow the waves? Is the heat cranked on the heat gun?I am trying to research what heat gun to buy. What would you recommend?I've had so many failures with my setup that I'm getting a little discouraged. You do very beautiful work,it must be quite satisfying.
Thank you Steve. It doesn't matter what kind of heat gun you use. It can be done with all of them - just you have to find your approach. I usually use heat on around medium setting - never to hot. Blowtorch is also essential since that extra high temperature makes those little cells. But you have to work quick with it and never overdo the piece. Remember less is more. If you knew how many pieces I've ruined before I found my way of doing this kind of art, you'd be amazed I didn't quit long time ago. There is no "recipe", it is just learning by trial and error, working hard, and never give up! Good luck!

I am in Croatia atm and am looking for a surface I could buy ready for such a large resin painting. Any chance you could recommend something? I searched in hardwood stores but the wood I bought warped.
Yeah, the wood tends to warp. It is alive material and will always "breathe" a little from season to season. You can minimize warping with a few coats of sealer such as GOLDEN or Liquitex Medium (mate or gloss, doesn't matter), and only than primer it with gesso. Someone recommended me XPS foam as a surface for resin art, but I haven't tried it yet. So I can't tell if that works well. It is very dense and not alive material, so it makes sence and I think it shouldn't sag.
@@raskofineart Thank you so much for the reply. I'll look into all of those tips! The last surface I tried pouring resin on is literally a nice uncut counter top from IKEA that I had unused! Hahah it is great size and it didn't warp about anything, but super glossy so the resin didn't distribute perfectly. I didn't prime it well, I think that was the problem.

I believe for your case it would be the best to build frame around the piece and remove it when finished. But edges would have to be polished later.

Hi. Maybe I will…
I would love to see the backside of your pieces. Nothing I’ve tried seems to work in preventing unsightly dribbles around the back edges of my works.
Can I ask you what you mix your heavy body acrylic colors with when you paint the sand and water prior to the resin.
🇨🇦😊
I mix it with resin also. All layers are made with tinted resin.
Stunning. I know you use the fluid acrylic for the white. What kind of golden products did you mix in the blues?
I use GOLDEN High Flow series of paints and mix all sort of blues and greens to get the desired tint.
Do you sand lightly between layers? Your work is just amazing! I’m such a fan! ❤️
Actually when building waves, I don’t! 👍
Did you mix the white with resin b4 adding to the table piece? Or did you put the white paint straight on the resin?
Thank you
Hi Tina. I always mix paint into the resin b4 applying it to the piece.
@@raskofineart thank you👍
Meraviglioso! Quanto tempo passa dal primo strato? Aspetti che asciughi la,resina per poi poter mettere altri strati sia di colore che di bianco?
Yes. Layers must dry. See my other videos to see how I work.

I use Birch plywood for main surface and Spruce slats for the edges.
