HOW TO PAINT PALM TREES AND RESIN WAVES - OCEAN RESIN ART
I decided to get out of my comfort zone even more and finally tried to combine ocean resin art with realistic fine art painting. I've created many pieces with Shark families before and here I go even further since I painted some Palm trees with shadows on the coast line.
I upgraded my filming gear, so that I can film with two cameras at the same time. I also added a LAV microphone to my gear so that voice audio is now really clear.
* Main camera: Canon 100D (known as Rebel SL1 in USA)
* Overhead camera: iPhone 7 Plus
* Microphone: Rode smartLav+ Lavalier
For video editing I use DaVinci Resolve - an awesome piece of software!

MUSIC used in this video was written and recorded by my brother Damir in his home studio. Thanks for letting me use it Bro ;-)

How To Varnish a LARGE canvas print? That's how I do it.

This video is a TUTORIAL on how to varnish a large Canvas print. It doesn't matter if it is a Fine art print or a photograph print, the procedure is the same as long as it is printed on canvas. Any print on canvas should always be varnished with professional varnish to protect it from UV rays. That's how prints are kept nice and vibrant for many years to come without fading. Have you varnished hand embellished prints? If so, would you varnish the same way? And if embellished with oil paint, can the same varnish be used?

    • @raskofineart
      @raskofineart 19 днів тому

      Hi. I haven’t done hand embellished prints at all, so I can’t tell. But if I would, I’d use the same varnish (If embellished with acryllic paint) and same spreading technique. Regarding last question - I wouldn’t use this varnish for oil embellished prints since this one is made only on acrylic basis. I’d rather use varnish suited for oil paintings. This blog post is very imformative, check it out: www.milanartinstitute.com/blog/varnishing-artwork

    Hi, excellent piece and video. Just a question, when you're adding the white resin at 5.03m, have you left the resin after mixing to thicken before using? I'm finding that my resin is too fluid so just moves as a blob rather than separating into strands (likes yours does) when applying the heat gun. Would welcome any advice. Many thanks. David

    • @raskofineart
      @raskofineart 3 місяці тому

      It is about trial and error numerous times to get your prefered brand of resin act as you wish. I use brand “Art Resin” which is not too fluid, just as I like it. If yours is too fluid, experiment with waiting a bit before pouring it down. It is hard to put in words, just try and never give up 💪

Maybe DARK titanium // not sure. but I would love to know. My sister loves the ocean and i thought i might try and make her a medium one on canvas. Plz let me if you dont mind. Again beautiful Work !!

      Thank you dear. First, I would avoid working on canvas - it sags in the middle when working with “heavy” resin and results are bad. Use wooden panel instead. I use tinted white (with a drop of brown and yellow) or Titan Buff fro Golden colors. Good luck! 👍

    This is really nice. I have a few questions for you. If I go with your multi-layer for a tabletop do I need to build a frame around to fill evenly resin where you have the wave foam on the sand. Currently shown that sand has a low point than the wave. Secondly, I notice you have a lot of action (waves) in deep water (deep blue area).

    • @raskofineart
      @raskofineart 3 місяці тому

      I believe for your case it would be the best to build frame around the piece and remove it when finished. But edges would have to be polished later.

    • @raskofineart
      @raskofineart Рік тому

      Thank you Steve. It doesn't matter what kind of heat gun you use. It can be done with all of them - just you have to find your approach. I usually use heat on around medium setting - never to hot. Blowtorch is also essential since that extra high temperature makes those little cells. But you have to work quick with it and never overdo the piece. Remember less is more. If you knew how many pieces I've ruined before I found my way of doing this kind of art, you'd be amazed I didn't quit long time ago. There is no "recipe", it is just learning by trial and error, working hard, and never give up! Good luck!
