Wow man, you just made me choke up their a bit. Miss my old man too. My Codolensence friend, just know that our pop's are in a better place, maybe having some wine and singing their favorite songs around a big old table. That's Amore 💕💕😊
fact is, Luciano Pavarotti wasn't only a great singer, one of the greatest infact, but he was a music lover, he got emotional every time he heard music
This shattered me. I have never cried so much listening to a song I could not translate. Music transcends language. I literally gasped in the middle of the song when Luciano hit that first high note. Shattered... I am shattered and overwhelmed by the beauty of this magnificent song.
VIVO PER SEMPRE
excellent! this was his signature aria. Thanks Luciano, Keep singing in the spirit world, where you presently are. Remember: you can take your talents, your works, your agency and feelings. ALL the rest, STAYS here.
IMHO there will never be another tenor of his caliber. The range he had, and ability to bring the lyric to a climax had never before been done as flawlessly. Caruso came close, but Luciano is in a league all his own. Brava!!!
there's no better way to say that than this... It just reached the very deep in the soul... sorry but words cant explain this.. just listen and feel it #breathtaking

This is the moment that turned me on to opera forever. The greatest piece of musical literature performed by its most transcendent performer. Incredibly now it's 24 years on from the live performance and I still weep every time.
, Hello Claudio . Check out Jonathan Antoine, young up and coming tenor . He hasn't touched nissen dorma yet , he has too much respect for the great man himself . He is worth following to see how he matures . Pavarotti would have loved him and no doubt taken him under his wing 😘
I'm a rock and proper r&b music fan I have seen most of the top groups I even played in a few groups in the sixties, I was fortunate to see Pavarotti live in the eightees that night and Nessum Dorma will stay with me forever god willing
How can a person click on "dislike button" after listening this masterwork??... bah! I love you Luciano.... your voice is the sound of life, and will never die.
At the end the two musicians behind him are chuckling in awe and shaking their heads...understandably can you imagine hearing his voice that up close?!
My parents got me tix for christmas & birthday(12/24) present but asked me before if I wouldn't mind one big gift instead of 2 smaller that year, without knowing what it was, I agreed...words can't express the sheer bliss I felt on that christmas morning!!! Surpassed only by the absolute rapture seeing/hearing him perform this aria live. You see, years before when I was checking out opera I came to the conclusion almost all operas ended in tragedy (like Tosca, Aida etc) my 8th grade self set out on a quest to find an opera I liked with a happy ending--this was the first I found and Nessun Dorma became my favorite aria, and still is! When I heard Luciano's version I had my first eargasm!! I miss him so, my mother and I had an agreement that if we ever saw him close by we would trample the other to get to him first! That voice, that aria - still the eargasm - it never fails!
I was raised on classical music and opera (fortunately). At 12 or so, my mother had the LP Franco Corelli sings Turandot Highlights, I knew Puccini's words to Nessun Dorma in Italian in elementary school (& rough English translation). In the early 70s when I moved from home across the US to the SFBayArea, I missed my favorite opera(because it was/is one of the very few dramas with a happy ending) so I took out the Pavarotti/Sutherland LP from the local library. I was never so transfixed by a voice before or since. I played it non-stop until it was due back & returned for it as much as was allowed. I was blest to have seen him once in Baltimore in the 90s, and I swear I was the only woman in the room! All I remember of his concert was 'E Lucevan Le Stella and this piece. My mother and I had an agreement that we would trample each other to get to him were he ever in proximity. We mourned his passing together while she was preparing for her own a few months later. I cannot imagine my adult life without this aria that he owned. Thank you as well, G.Puccini.
I don't understand how anyone can give this a thumbs down. Even if opera isn't your thing, Parvarotti's voice is a magnificent instrument and anyone should be able to hear and appreciate that.

My mum and aunt always made me listen to this as a child, I would watch him sing and not fully understand the emotion but now.......My Lord the tears! Even had to call my mum and tell her I understand the music now. I really do.
Luciano, gracias!

Wow this song....his voice... his passion...blows me away and takes me to another world. I don't care what he's singing about. To me he's singing about life, love birth, death, rising up and pure joy!! All at once!! WOW WOW WOW. BRAVO 👏👏👏

No words can describe him
I can think of one... "Amazing"!!
For every note he sings there's a different word =)
Wow... His face after he sang the last note... It was almost as if he was overcome with emotion and had to catch his breath. Unbelievably powerful

Dear @@turtleshell9935 i deeply appreciate your advice, thank you!
At 3:00-3:20 he didn't sing, he gave a piece of his soul. Just look at his eyes, that raw passion put me to tears.
Imagine this: You open your mouth, and sing. What comes out is that sound! More than amazing - much more!
It's one of the most emotional songs I've ever heard in my life. I cry every time i hear it and Pavarotti nails it.
Pavarotti will always be remembered for his voice and I will always love his Nessun Dorma

That is easy. It is all the OTHER tenors that can't compete with a voice like this. It seems that there must be about 1.3 k of those. ( at least )

Genial! Genial! Me encantó!!
