Hell yeah dude glad it was a pretty simple fix. I wonder if any of the other dozens of w220s I see dragging down the street could be fixed this easily.
I´m sure some of them could.Airmatic is not that complicated system, nor unreliable if the components are good.I´m glad Pete didn´t give up on this car and can´t wait to hear his opinion after driving it.
thats why i replaced all strut height sensors all 4 struts compressor and valve block and acceleration sensors then reset the whole car using on star then caliberation to sit evenly on all 4 sides i did 1 on all sides and lowered using linkages that is used fore the rear sensor car sits low n even
my s500 raises everything but the front driver. i replaced the strut with arnott strut i found from another mercedes at the yard. my leveling sensor doesn't properly "click" like its supposed to , could it be the sensor or the strut? it used to work properly, but now im just trying to figure out why the driver front wont raise it. i checked for leaks from valveblock line to the strut and found nothing. please help
Please disconnect the battery when jacking up the S430 or S-500 -models to extended heights, because the strut will continue to extend until a frightful blowout and complete destruction of the strut.
They should charge an hr labor and maybe a diagnostic feee. I paid about $200 but had them look over some other stuff. They just need to use a full Mercedes computer that allows them to calibrate each component
Hi i have a w140 it has the same level valve that you have but the struts in the back is not air can you send me a pic of your rear shocks im trying to fix my reat sagging situation i had changed both rear struts and springs and car still ride low in the back.
my 2000 s430 had that same issue and it was because there were cracks in the struts causing air to leak out. you could have a leak in the hoses or the struts themselves. i had to replace both
Wow I’m so doing that to my 2 S500’s 2000 and 2002 Models Thanks!!!
I have the same exact headlights on mine, it defines sets the car off... Great job bro

Anyone know how to lower it my Mercedes’ is sitting to high
Okay, so I have mine raised up, and I preferred to have it dropped, how do I lower the suspension?
Adjust the rod
So how much does it cost to get it leveled? I have one side that sits to high after replacing the entire left side suspension.
