    In my former S430 I had these front struts leaking. I took them out because you can't get a proper angle to repair it. So, take them out, use a dremel tool to remove the old resin. Clean it out well with thinner or something and fill it up with a good brand 2 component resin. That will do the job. It's worth the work if you can do it yourself and it's cheap and permanent. Don't drive the car too long with leaks, to avoid wear of the compressor.

    I own the 2005 E500 and I hate the air strut , both leak and replaced 2 times already and it is very anoying every time open the door the air pump make big noise to pump the air to lift the car up. I m thinking replace 4 of them to spring coils kit.

    I absolutely love love love these cars owned a couple over the years they drive and ride amazing so ahead of its time and cars out today will never compare the comfortable seats and motor and everything that it was equipped with but so sad that Mercedes didn’t put the time or effort into the abc system it was it’s biggest downfall the motor and transmission was built for a lifetime

    I'm not sure why you don't have more subs. Great video on the s430. I love my 06 4matic. It goes through the snow like a banshee. The air struts are very simple once you understand the system. I dont fault anyone for converting to conventional struts but in my humble opinion you just can't be the air ride. The cost is pretty much the same and actually cheaper if you shop around. Have a great day!👍🏼💪🏼

      Could be a failure or leak in any one of the other system components I.e. valve block, lines, filter, tank, fuse, relay, etc.

    Looked like a lucky shot in the dark - you never bothered to actually check for leaks, you just plastered the tops with JB Weld... Why not spray soapy water first to verify that it was leaking there???

    • @onekeycargarage2934
      @onekeycargarage2934  Рік тому +1

      You assumed I didn't. There were cracks in the top which is also a sign of failure. Even if I didn't check for leaks, JB weld is only about $5 which is a chance worth taking for a cheap quick fix in an emergency.

      @@onekeycargarage2934 People really say some stupid crap! They're always trying to be a wise guy and trying to 0retend they're smarter than everyone instead of giving some good advice and trying to help others out. I guess that's one of the pitfalls of having a UA-cam channel. Anyway, I just stumbled on your channel and love the content and think you're doing a fantastic job. Have an awesome day! 💯🔥👍

    For everyone that's watching this video , to access the top of the rear air struts inside the car rear window you have access panels on each sided 😁.

    Slow down your camera movement! Good grief! Jb weld to funny! You send the shock assemblies to a shop in California to be rebuilt. Or go to LKQ junkyard and pull them off of a junk car!
