Man I can't believe I did not find you earlier. Out of all the vloggers on Rideshare you're my favorite and instantly. Really like the style of the videos and the fact that you're into tech makes it relatable to my personality. Pretty much you're where I want to be haha if that makes sense? You inspire me to make videos, I tried before but never stuck with it. I lack the action and persistence. Anyway, great stuff dude, as a business/tech guy, thanks for bringing transparency into the game. That is the best. Keep it up, maybe I'll see you around haha

DaveHerrer Thank you so much for watching and I really appreciate all of the feedback! I have only started making videos consistently in the past week but I gotta tell you the first 3 are the hardest then it gets better. I have already sped up my editing which has taken me HOURS at times. Are there any topics in particular that you'd like to see covered in a future vid?

Something I found to be an issue is, using restrooms. Especially at night, have you ever had to combat that; realizing you need to use a restroom but don't know which Jack In The Box has an open lobby or if Denny's will allow you to use without purchase? Also, have you ever found yourself in a situation where you have to go to LAX and don't have your placard? My last question would be - LUNCH. Do you buy or prepare food? How do you make time to cook and prep lunch if you prepare. I found myself wanting to be effecient but then I get so hungry and end up buying a cheap food which is a huge NO for my goal to lose weight. I've only wet my feet with Uber and Lyft, since August. I just hold off because I found myself enjoying Amazon Flex more.
Aside from that, I am really curious how the food delivery works. I never thought of how you said, less miles + less passengers = food deliveries! Honestly, that made me completely switch my plan to purchase a Ford C-Max to just getting a Volt, since it doesn't matter if I have a 4-door vehicle! But then I lose the option of rideshare... but then, I have solar panels at home, AND the 30 mile electric sounds enticing for city driving AND the HOV lane access. Lol See, I have plans, but I lack action as I said. But hopefully someone reads this and does it, but certainly I am getting motivated by watching your clear analysis of your videos. So thanks!

Great questions! I will try to make future vids that can address these things. I have never gone to LAX without my placard. Too risky! So I'm just sure I have it before I go online with Uber or Lyft. I haven't figured out a great solution for eating because I end up working different hours all the time. Sometimes it's just Starbucks Doubleshot cans to get me through a late night!
Like you said, you would lose the option of rideshare with the Volt, which is something to consider when you decide. But there is a lot of delivery work these days and I think there will be more in the future. Thanks for all of the great feedback! I'll share my bathroom secrets soon! LOL

Great video! Most of the other related videos just show how good or bad the rideshare companies are to drivers. Yours gives practical advice that can help any driver be more successful. Thanx again.

I enjoy your channel, I'm still working a 9-6 call center job and want out so I am looking to venture into ride sharing and delivery too. It's all about freedom of our time versus punching a clock or worrying about running late.
A few more items to consider, a glow in the dark tire gauge you can get on amazon cheap. When your tires are low it will cost you gas so being able to check it even at night helps. A dash cam to film and document your rides. You are an independent contractor and if someone claims you did something and you didn't it's your word against theirs. A stun-gun or pepper spray just in case, non lethal weapons if a nut or drunk wants to start stuff. A large umbrella, ella, ella under my umbrella for the rainy season, helping your ride to and from the car. As stated before a flashlight preferably a small LED that can fit in your mouth. I learned that when I used to valet park, they taught us carry a penlight or small flashlight that you can hold in your mouth keeping your hands free if needed. Joining AAA which can help change a tire, give you a tow and even free gas each year, plus membership discounts for L.A.X. parking, hotels, etc and the annual fee is deductible. A multi corded mobile device charger for your passengers and lastly, carry a few bucks and worthless cards and coupons in a cheap wallet just in case you get mugged but carry your real stuff, IDs, credit and debit cards, cash in a neck or hidden wallet. If you give the thieves what they want they usually feel satisfied.

Great suggestions! But why put a light in your mouth when you can just use a headlamp? 😀 I do carry a tire gauge - forgot to mention that. Every car should always have one!

Oh man your missing all survival essentials:
    - Pocketknife (preferably one with a glass breaker tip, and or belt cutter) in case of an accident and you cant exit the car, its a life saver to brake the window and cut your belt
    - Flashlite (always useful)
    - lighter (a handy survival item, as useful as a pocketknife and flashlight there are a plethora of uses) not to mention all the smokers in LA, i was bar hoping with some friends the other night and my Uber driver that night offered me a lighter and he got 5 stars for that from me lol
    - personally me i have a Winplus car jump start and portable power bank. its a beautiful little car charger very small, smaller than a tablet and it charges your car, has an integrated flashlight(sub par flashlight but there nonetheless), and has 2 usb charging ports, for up to 2 phones, or a phone and whatever else, it was only 80$ at costco, the best part is that you can also use your car to charge your power bank
Im very interested though...what is your title in your business cards? like what does it say? Rideshare expert? or do you have another line of work?

I have a picture I wanted to send but I can't send it here. It's a decent-sized mesh collapsible storage organizer you can sit on your front seat and can fit all the things you may need quickly.

Shamees are not good for cars because they scratch the paint. Better to have a "fluffy" towel that has pits to hold the grit.
