- On Sunday, May 21 at 5:37 p.m. ET (21:37 UTC), Falcon 9 launched Axiom Space’s Axiom Mission 2 (Ax-2) to the International Space Station from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Following stage separation, Falcon 9’s first stage landed on Landing Zone 1 (LZ-1) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
Dragon will autonomously dock with the space station on Monday, May 22 at approximately 9:16 a.m. ET (13:16 UTC).
During their time on the orbiting laboratory, the crew will conduct over 20 science and technology experiments in areas such as human physiology, physical sciences, and STEAM to help expand knowledge to benefit life on Earth in areas such as healthcare, materials, technology development, and enable industrial advances.
The webcast will resume approximately two hours prior to docking. - Наука та технологія

SpaceX's 10th human spaceflight mission all within 3 years! It's nothing short of incredible what you guys have achieved.
And what a treat to have return to launch site landings on crew launches now.
Oh, wait and see what will happen once Starship becomes operational! Fingers crossed, SpaceX should already have plans to assemble the first private space station! With the starship capabilities it could be humongous!

Just amazing
My Dad worked for Aerojet for many years. He would be amazed by what is possible now.
Was surprised by the land-ing for a crew mission.
Its 7 years now since the first Falcon 9 landing - and since then, not only has nobody else successfully landed an orbital booster, nobody else has properly tried* . Which is kinda sad.

It’s just like an airplane flight they fly to a higher layer plz wake up

Pretty sure God didn’t build the rockets or engineer them. Maybe thank the team at SpaceX first yeah?
@@TubaTones ، Their ability to achieve this was thanks to God's help and faith in Him. People like you will not understand!
@@TubaTones People of faith believe God made humans capable of being intelligent, determined, focused, creative, imaginative, curious, ambitious, collaborative... and many other amazing qualities needed to achieve amazing things like this - in their case, why not thank God first? Clearly there's no offence intended, I doubt any would be taken by majority of SpaceX/Axion staff; I suspect it likely doesn't serve you either friend.
@@TubaTones نشكر الله ثم نشكر سبيس اكس حيث أن الله هو خالق عقل الإنسان والانسان يجتهد
If 'god' exists, she'd be telling you to thank all the hard working engineers.
For the very first time, the Falcon 9 landed on land on a crew mission. The landings will NEVER get old... Bravo SpaceX!
Do you know why they did this time? Does Falcon 9 require less propellant for boosting and have enough for returning back ?
@@openwrtguru247 This Dragon had less cargo in it than previous manned missions, so there was enough fuel for RTLS.
@@odysseusrex5908 Not only this, the Falcon 9 has always had the "extra" performance needed for this on many/most crewed flights, but SpaceX were never sure enough on each flight, so they maintained a larger margin on crewed flights until now. With so many flights and reflights of the Falcon 9 providing data that suggests very consistent performance, however, SpaceX are now pretty confident that each first stage will have enough fuel left for the boostback for an RTLS.
Note that this represents zero additional risk for the crew, and only a slight risk, if any, for the first stage. It's really just a matter of having more experience with, practical working knowledge of, and confidence in the Falcon 9 now than before. And yes, of course, this probably only works with a relatively light load on crewed flights. Including more than a certain amount of cargo mass would require a drone ship landing instead. That stands to reason.
@@openwrtguru247 The Falcon 9 Block 5 itself has not changed. SpaceX have simply built up enough confidence in the Falcon 9's consistency to actually attempt such a landing on lightly-loaded crewed missions, and obviously they were right.
@@odysseusrex5908 No. It will be for all future crew or cargo dragon missions

Absolutely stunning. The angle of the booster shows how much it was flying down range to reach the target. Proper suicidal stuff. One engine for re-entry leaving what seems like 8-900 more velocity than usual to get the range, 3 for landing. I’m sure I’ve read they tried that before but still. Wow. And the real bonus is it looks pretty clean too…
