I can't believe that I am 88 years old and I love this song I love the Beat of the Music and it goes through my head I wake up listening to it I go to bed listening to it I just love the Everly so much God bless them they made such beautiful music together harmonizing is the best never be like that again
you saw him the other day?? Lucky you!! Would love to tell both Everly's that I loved them from day 1..and will continue to enjoy their songs together & somgs from their solo years!! nobody sings better!!
Each time I hear an Everly Brothers song, it becomes my favorite song--I've changed my favorite song so many times, but for now, THIS IS IT! Thanks for this video--greatest song ever!
The Everly Brothers' 1983 reunion concert can be found on a number of streaming services. I highly recommend it. Let's not forget how enormously talented Don and Phil Everly were.
The Everly Brothers really know how to sing they have that kind of voice you can just want to hear them sing all the time I know one thing I don’t get tired of them never
one of my fave all time EB songs from the '84 reunion album. a true classic and a GREAT song. don's a little nashville--ed out but phil gives it his all, as usual.
This is just one more of their "many fantastic songs," and with the harmony of Phil and Don's voices "make it seem so easy" to love their music!!! Thank you and R.I.P. brothers!
Don & Phil are soooo great....w/o them there would be no Beatles, Byrds, other UK bands-Elvis & the Everly Brothers got rock & roll started in the late 50s!! Their first No 1 hit was “Wake up little Susie” in 1958....my fav song...I was 11!!!!
This has to be my favourite song of this album (EB84) by a mile, closely followed by "on the wings of a nightingale" mostly because of the video, they seemed really happy doing what most brothers do, spending time together messing with cars.
You can get every song from the 3 Mercury studio albums if you buy the following CD: "The Everly Brothers On the Wings of a Nightingale: The Mercury Studio Recordings (1984-1988)." Luckily, it's not as rare as finding "EB84," alone, so is cheaper. "Some Hearts," the 1988 album, didn't sell well, but has excellent songs on it.
@justmusicandme Isn't one of the guitarists, Phil Donnelly? Not sure of the spelling. Just sure that Don and Phil are the most gorgeous! Love it! Darling song too...
I think that love can be lots of trouble I don't know where to run or to hide I look at you, see your love is a bubble Look at me, there's tears in my eyes I think your love is driving me crazy You hold my heart and you don't even try Look at me, I'm always unhappy I look at you, you seem to thrive You, you make it seem so easy You, you make it seem so easy I think I'll buy me a ticket to Paris Run away till the heartache subsides Overlooking the Seine from my terrace I'll write you a letter You'll be surprised I'll tell you how much that you need me But, we both know it's a lie You need me like Garbo needs pictures I need you just to survive You, you make it seem so easy You, you make it seem so easy You, you make it seem so easy You, you make it seem so easy You, you make it seem so easy
The musicians listed on the inner liner of my Vinyl copy of EB 84 listed the following musicans: Dave Edmunds - guitar Pete Wingfield - keyboards Albert Lee - guitar John Giblin - bass Terry Williams - drums Gerry Conway - drums Phil Donnelly -Guitar Jeff Lynn - bass Richard Tandy - keyboards Gerry Hogan - pedal steel guitar I'm not sure which of these performed on this song which I always thought was one of the stronger cuts on the album.
As a very old, lifetime fan of the Everly Brothers, I have to admit that I was skeptical when I heard of the reunion. I mean, how do you stand up to perfection? But when they started singing, they knocked it out of the park!! Or at least out of Albert Hall. I bought all their new albums (old habits die hard), but I absolutely love this song. I think Phil Donnelly outdid himself. It's too bad that this song didn't get any airplay.
I first heard the Everly Brothers on their EB84 album, which is where this song is from (I think). I've tried to find EB84 on CD, but it's always expensive. Is it that rare? Anyway, anybody have a clue where I might could get it for cheap? :)
Some of their Albums are so expensive. I play all their music through u tube on my iPod touch. You get the music AND the video, there are adverts, yes, but who cares, just fast forward.
@edwardroxursox Maybe you might have your years mixed up? You age says 17 on your channel so you would have been born in 1993? Or your age is listed wrong? Don is a sweetie!!!!
Something about Phil reminds me of Paul McCartney here. It's a shame I didn't see him first. I think I would have "loved" him better than Paul. (when I was 13, I decided I would marry Paul when I grew up) Dreams, dreams, dreams, huh?
Phil had any admirers easy to love. Such a clean cut guy just a great heart. My favorite always sooooo missed. So talented so happy to read all good comments on our PHIL.

Ellen Radovich: this was posted three years ago. I hope you are still out there listening to and enjoying the Boys. God bless you, Ellen.
If I lived to 100, I would still love this music!
GOD … I loved the Everly Brothers
Always loved their musical arrangements and harmonies. No one can do better.
These guys were, and maybe still are, just so great.
the phrase " I need you just to survive "
..a few of the best words, ever used in a song!
They looked like they were so happy in there and with the smiles, they knew it was a good take. Love this song.
This was recorded a year after their Reunion Concert following a ten-year estrangement between the brothers. Awesome. So glad they reunited.
you saw him the other day?? Lucky you!!
Would love to tell both Everly's that I loved them from day 1..and will continue to enjoy their songs together & somgs from their solo years!! nobody sings better!!
I love this song more everytime I listen. They were the best singers ever and grew better with age. Phil is missed.
Each time I hear an Everly Brothers song, it becomes my favorite song--I've changed my favorite song so many times, but for now, THIS IS IT! Thanks for this video--greatest song ever!

There never were nor will there ever be two voices with such perfect harmony as Phil and Don. Miss them so much.

Born yesterday is my favourite Everly brothers song
I think that love can be lots of trouble
I don't know where to run or to hide
I look at you, see your love is a bubble
Look at me, there's tears in my eyes
I think your love is driving me crazy
You hold my heart and you don't even try
Look at me, I'm always unhappy
I look at you, you seem to thrive
You, you make it seem so easy
You, you make it seem so easy
I think I'll buy me a ticket to Paris
Run away till the heartache subsides
Overlooking the Seine from my terrace
I'll write you a letter
You'll be surprised
I'll tell you how much that you need me
But, we both know it's a lie
You need me like Garbo needs pictures
I need you just to survive
You, you make it seem so easy
You, you make it seem so easy
You, you make it seem so easy
You, you make it seem so easy
You, you make it seem so easy
Danke für die Übersetzung😊

I first heard the Everly Brothers on their EB84 album, which is where this song is from (I think). I've tried to find EB84 on CD, but it's always expensive. Is it that rare? Anyway, anybody have a clue where I might could get it for cheap? :)

Where can you find this video? I would love to have it. I hope you don't ever take this off here.
Some of their Albums are so expensive. I play all their music through u tube on my iPod touch. You get the music AND the video, there are adverts, yes, but who cares, just fast forward.
Does anyone know where this song and 'Why Worry' are available on CD?
Hi you make it seem so easy is off their EB 84 CD, sorry haven't found why worry as yet
Christine Kilcomons "Why Worry" was included on the brother's 1986 LP "Born Yesterday".
Julie Robinson "Why Worry" was included on the brother's 1986 LP "Born Yesterday".
Thank you jimsradiomusic for that info, another CD I will add to my collection 🎸
+Christine Kilcomons You'll find it on "Wings of a Nightingale" (1984), if that album was also released as a CD.
❤️
@edwardroxursox Maybe you might have your years mixed up? You age says 17 on your channel so you would have been born in 1993? Or your age is listed wrong? Don is a sweetie!!!!
does anyone know the guitar chords to this song
Where i can get this music?
Best musos, lot of reverb, great singing. But no more good songs
Something about Phil reminds me of Paul McCartney here. It's a shame I didn't see him first. I think I would have "loved" him better than Paul. (when I was 13, I decided I would marry Paul when I grew up) Dreams, dreams, dreams, huh?

I wonder why Don wasn't using his trademark Gibson.
Since 1983 they used handmade guitars by Robert Steinneger.
