I love Orlando tourist attractions and it's a beautiful place to live. I just don't like the traffic there, but I am sure there are other routes to by-pass all the traffic on main routes and roads. I think it's cool too, living in Orlando. It's like a melting pot. Enjoy your new location and home. I appreciate you for sharing. Blessings to you.

Thanks so much for watching ❤️ believe it or not I have not been to many of the neighborhood areas yet. Just more so the Tourist the attraction areas. The areas I have looked at buying a house in have all been the suburban areas. So I don't really know from experience what is good or bad just yet where I live is great and it's 25 to 30 mins outside of the city of orlando

Thanks! This video was super helpful, especially about the tolls. I’ll be moving from the Philly area to Orlando in April and I clean for a living. So all I do is drive all over, all day. So that’s good to keep in mind for pricing. Do you use a pass for your car or pay per toll? Thanks.
Also when you talked about the gators, you must’ve been referring to gator land LOL 😆 I love vacationing in Florida
Thanks so much for watching ❤️ we use a sun pass but it's up to you on what pass you get. If we end up going through a E pass toll they just bill us there are a lot of pay by plate tolls also. And the park I was referring to is Kissimmee waterfront park.

@@samirahatch6672 yes I did! She was spot on with tolls. Super expensive I spend about $70 a month on those in orlando. It’s supposed to be hurricane season I guess but I moved in March and the weather has been totally fine. I love it here. The housing is expensive and wages are low…. Really look for rental deals and you’ll be good!

Hello 👋🏾 I have heard that roaches. And be crazy anywhere but I suggest you keep pest control on deck I have pest control that comes out every month and when ever I call because I don’t play about any bugs at all
I just came back from Orlando bby them tolls most of them I was just driving right through not knowing I should have been paying so I know they are going to mail me a big bill. I did enjoy Orlando it rained but cleared right up and the heat made me tired not wanting to go out until around 10 to midnight witch was fine for me. But everything closed by 2:00 being a tourist city I thought that was odd.
Everything close early because they still in pandemic mode. Places closed later before all the craziness happened.

Every apartment I see folks keep talking about roaches 🤢 I’m scared
So I lived in an apartment for the first year and a half and I did not have any bug problems just lizards trying to run in if you left a door open too long I was on the ground floor. Don't think I would have had that problem if I was on a top floor. But it truly depends on the apartments you move too I was in a luxury apartment so they really took care of the property. You know some places don't care.

As far a Jobs I would say go to Indeed.com. and as far as moving away from family it was not hard for me I just wanted something better and different for me and my family. And I love it here. But I know it's not easy for everyone to just up and leave but, think about you can always visit and they can visit you. You can always face time everyday little things like that to get you through.

Top reason to move the weather ( No Snow) and the beautiful Palm Trees 🌴🌴🌴🌴. As far as school just look at the areas you interested in and go from there a lot of the schools are better than people think.

Lol I’m born and raised here. But I will say it is hard to meet Floridians because a lot of people moved here since Florida was originally a vacation spot or a retirement spot as people put it.

Yes they are since we have moved to Florida we have not had any problems with allergies
She is truly right when she stated that the allergies seem to be minimized here. I began having allergies in my adulthood years and they were very horrible. I did notice when we would come here on vacation that my allergies would lessen or just not appear at all. I did get really sick when I moved here it made me think I had corona. Come to find out after I popped 2 allergy pills it was just my allergies. I rarely have to pop a pill now and if I do the symptoms don’t last long at all.

Girl I'm originally from Youngstown born and raised! I have only been to kissimmee and only some parts of it. Kissimmee is big and has many parts so I don't know how all of kissimmee is. But the other areas I don't know about.
Cape Coral is pretty nice and Kissimmee is also nice you just have to stay out of the hood part of them all that’s when you run into trouble

That's great your thinking about making the move. I was not culture shocked, but I can see how it could be that way for other people.
Im born and in Raised here in Orlando and moved to Philadelphia area for 2 years (2014-2016) ! Came back home in 2016 and never left. There is a HUGE culture shock especially if your from Philly! Starting with lingo. Jawn ,drawlin, outta pocket, oldhead are only used in PA. Also transportation is everything here in FL. You WILL need a car here or else you wont enjoy it! Hope this helps!

Really a fun watch and informative. I’m single and though I have some money saved.....My income isn’t that great. I really am thinking of a move to the Orlando area. I am one of those Disney lovers. Lol. It’d be good to know nice reasonable areas to look into for apartment living. Im in Nebraska and currently pay $1200 for a 2 bedroom place. Also what is ‘Luxury’ apartment costs like as you mentioned you live in. I’d need that bug service too....I’m just like you......ewwwwww, hate all bugs, lol.
Hey thanks for watching. So when it comes to apartments the cost depends on what location your in and what kind of apartment you want and what floor all play a price. I pay almost 1600 for a 2 bed 2 bath first floor now if I was on the third floor same apartment it would be cheaper. Also you can get something for around 1200 that's in a luxury apartment complex. But also remember the extra fees like the valet services they make you pay for. And all apartment come with exterminator services if you see any bugs in your apartment I know for the luxury apartments it does. But ho on apartments.com and look around to see what prices they have to offer in different areas you may like.

Ok thanks. I didn't say not to get an apartment. I said for me and my family I wish we could have just got a house first. I think apartments are fine and worked out for us for what we needed. But I'm just used to living in a house that's all. But I think apartments are good especially the resort style living apartments. Lots of amenities that you do not get in a house.

How did you find your apartment?
Honestly I looked on Google maps in the area I wanted to live. Then looked at the school my child would go to. And then rode in the area went to the apartments and applied. You can also look on apartments.com and forrent.com or get a realtor to help you find something.
I’m from Orlando and I’ve NEVER “kept” an umbrella. I’ve never went to a store and said “that’s a good umbrella“ better yet, I’ve never spent my hard earned on one either. I can say I’ve walked out with someone else’s though and lost it 😂😂😂
I try to keep them in my car I have had to use mines so many times. Even my daughter I keep a small one in her book bag after school she got caught in the rain a few times.
I hope you’re enjoying Orlando. You’ll find the natives in the inner city, FYI. Best rec centers too.

Vacation rentals, here in Hawaii, are having similar problems. Steph your kind of Harsh on your Lizard friends! 🤦♀️Here we have a Gecko problem, small lizards aka House Geckos that are nocturnal, and hang from your ceiling. At night they can be quite vocal, but people aren't bothered by them and learn to live with them.
I'm sorry I just can't get used to the geckos/ lizards it's just really hard to deal with 🤦🏾♀️

Do yall think its possible for a cosmetologist with a average salary of 25 thousand can survive here and be satisfied and happy.
That really depends on what makes you satisfied and happy. the average rent is over $1000 and most places want to see if you make 3 times the rent in a month, and that alone can be over $36,000 a year. That's not including food and Bills. So you may need some kind of Government assistance like housing and Food assistance to get by. But that will apply anywhere in the United States Of America because just about everywhere is like this.
@@LifeOfStephVlogs Yeah that's understandable, I'm not a very picky person but until I'm there long enough to raise my salary id be 100% fine living in a studio apartment of sorts for quite a few years. I've been looking around out of curiosity found a few for around 800-1000 in at least semi decent areas, some even are utilities included. I have a long time to think about my decisions, thank you for answering :)

The tolls are crazy UNLESS you deal with I-4 and are very patient.
For me we lived off the tolls so we used them more. Now we moved by I 4 and use I 4 more than the tolls. I 4 is crazy especially anywhere near Disney a 15 minute trip can cake 30 to 40 minutes

Roaches depends on how well the property is kept and if they have a continuous pest control to percent it. It's not just a Florida problem roaches can be in any state and city

I believe your credit has to be decent. They seem to care more about where your money is coming from i.e. job status but that's what I've heard. I know alot of people dig deep researching for places that more lenient.

@@Truly_Legit I would suggest going some Facebook groups moving to Orlando Facebook groups they are big help people ask questions about housing and you can get a lot of good leads.
