Fantastic! Irina and Devon, I had sung there for years with the big band in the Monarch Room, emceed major black tie events, hosted the luau show on the lawn and so many other events for decades. And in all those years, I had never been downstairs to see all that neat stuff. Good job you two!

Wow! Very attractive dress for a beautiful hotel. After 7 trips to Waikiki for a total of about 20 weeks (we usually spend the month of December) on our last trip in Dec. 2019 we splurged and spent a week at the Royal Hawaiian. Our usual limit is about $150 a night at other hotels. We did their Aha'aina luau. It was fantastic. Highly recommend. My wife loved the complimentary skin cream. Our experience there was incredibly awesome. The staff is amazing. Thank you for doing this. It brings back great memories.
How much was the Luau in the Royal Hawaiian ? Thanks 🌺
@@anaem956 Quite expensive. Off the top of my head I would say around $180 per person. That was for "cheap" seats.

Stayed here in 1981 with mom and dad. Feel really terrible about giving dad grief about choosing it. Mom was also unhappy. When you're a kid you don't appreciate history like you do as you get older. You just see a really old place and equate newer with better. Now ,I see how unbelievably beautiful it is. Incredibly romantic place. Wish I could remember it at night. Must have been breathtaking.

Oh thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for this very extensive tour of the beautiful Royal Hawaiian 🌺 Hotel! This next visit in about 6 weeks or so, will be our fifth trip to Oahu. We’ve walked the Royal Hawaiian grounds several times, but are now really looking forward to seeing what I’ve just viewed on your video. We always stay at the Outrigger next door (our hotel 45 years ago on our honeymoon!), and already have our reservations in for Duke’s on my birthday, and a reservation for our first dinner at the Hula Grill (thanks for pointing out it’s your favorite restaurant!…that’s why I booked a time for dinner). The Royal Hawaiian is such a gorgeous, grand old hotel! AND AGAIN!, I agree with you two…GET YOUR RESERVATIONS IN NOW FOR YOUR FALL VISIT! There was only two times left for my birthday dinner! Mahalo and Aloha!

It was a good video but I was waiting to see at least one of the rooms, just to have an idea of what they look like and how comfortable they are.
Unfortunately they don’t give us access to the rooms, we’ve tried to ask Managment some say no some just don’t reply. Or we would. I guess their website would have to do.

Some words repeated often can be annoying. Take the word hotel. In English we say, "ho-tel' " with the accent on the second syllable. Not "ho'-tel".By the way, I am a foreigner (immigrant) too. English was my fourth language. I love the channel and really enjoy watching you two. You do a great job producing these videos. Another small point. In English we use articles. The and a. I noticed a big improvement there from the first time I listened to you. By the way, Russian was much easier for me than English so I know how you feel. Cheers.

When visiting the hotels is there anyway you can tell us a little about the different room options the hotel has and how comfortable as far as space the rooms are. That’s would also help making a decision. (Cleanliest is very important for me)

Your videos are very helpful. Do you think any major changes will be made between this week and the next that can affect travel? I watched an interview with the lieutenant governor and his thoughts are that Hawaii would not likely go into a major lockdown but could definitely scale things back and Implement a curfew which I think is fair.

Aloha! Depending where you will choose to have dinner. Some restaurants offer 4h parking validation

That hotel is very expensive. Is there a hotel that is really near the beach if not on the beach with a mini kit. refrigerator, microwave and maybe a small stove. Price between 200-300 no father than a block to the beach. We' have problems walking a long way.

I don’t understand what I would be paying a $50 resort fee for,they barely have a pool. We need to stop allowing hotels to add these bogus fees .
I don’t think we can do anything about it
But we agree there should be an option not to pay if you dont use the pool
