Spot on comments. I just returned from Hawaii. The free Hula shows are absolutely the thing to do in the evenings. I also spent a lot of time at International Market Place. There is a local restaurant, Liliha Bakery, that has the best Loco Moco I've ever had.
Love your channel. Just stayed in Waikiki a few weeks ago and loved it! The beachcomber was incredible. They offered food vouchers so we had a very good breakfast and coffee included every day. Also UDON was 10/10 spectacular
Great info, will be visiting Waikiki at the end of June to celebrate our 40th anniversary and more importantly, a cancer survivor celebration, can you recommend a nice ocean view restaurant to celebrate? Staying at the Outrigger Waikiki beach hotel
found the vid very helpful for my 5 nights in Waikiki prior to 18 night cruise to Australia. I used the BUS at usd7.5/day for unlimited travel it was so economical
Tip. If you visit during the time when the University closes for it's summer break you can save a small fortune by staying in the Halls of Residence. It's close to Waikiki Beach, the Ala Moana Centre and local public transport. The University has a web-site with details of availability and cost.
Thanks for recognizing the hard work that's gone into Safe and Sound and the Aloha Ambassadors. Both are excellent programs designed to enhance public safety in Waikiki.
Going to be in Oahu mid Aug for 8 days -nice hotel Waikiki Malia. Plan on doing Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head, China Town, Bishop Museum, Water slide park, snorkel a couple of times at Queen beach, Aloha Swap Meet, hard rock Cafe, few days on the beach, sailboat tour, maybe a hike and just explore the area maybe circle island tour
You have a great plan! Enjoy your trip. Here are some great circle island tours if they sound good: thehawaiivacationguide.com/best-oahu-circle-island-tours/
I haven’t even finished watching this video, and I just had to stop and say, wow guys, this video is great! You guys really stepped up your game with this one! I’m impressed. Great work! :)
Visited Hawaii for the first time from Sydney in March and really loved Waikiki and Oahu. Looking forward to visiting again one day and also visiting Maui too.
We walked from the Hilton to Diamond Head after breakfast one morning, not realizing it was about seven miles away. Then we found we were at the wrong side for the entrance . We took a taxi back to the Hotel after all that, one of our favorite memories. We’ve also been on Diamond Head when a rain storm rolled through, I was glad to have a raincoat.
Great video! My wife and I will be visiting for our 3rd time over spring break next year. We always spend a few days staying over on the north shore and a few days in Waikiki. Crazy question - where did you get that polo Hawaiian shirt? I love it.
I was so excited to discover your videos. I wanted to bring my granddaughter to Hawaii regraduation gift. I don’t have a lot of money I would like to be able to get some good deals. If they’re available anytime after June, can you please give me some suggestions. She is the only when I catch him. He’s graduated and she graduated with honors. She’s amazing. Looking forward to hearing back from you. Thank you so much and I have subscribed to your Vlogs.
Is it possible to retire in or around Waikiki and not be a multi millionaire? I mean for base necessities not going out to restaurants, entertainment etc. How much would I need for the most common expenses ie rent, ???
Yeah I agree I would retire somewhere near. Like the big Island or any other Island where there arent so many tourists. @@pkoster5874 Then go visitWaikiki every time you feel like it
I think it is a wonderful place to retire. In my opinion, the tourist vibe is not overwhelming and it wonderful to be around those in a vacation mood. No need for a car. A bike, ebike, scooter or motorcycle works great. It is very walkable. I am far from wealthy and spend the month of February there with my girlfriend. We rent a place along the Alai Wai canal which also has reasonable yearly rates and a five minute walk to the beach. Paradise!
You might mention that many of the hotels in Waikiki have no beach even if they are built next to the ocean. The ocean is cobbling up the sand because they never should have built anything right on the beach. Enjoy the Waikiki beaches while you can..
Hawaii for a vacation, OK. But not Waikiki, no way, It's overpriced and over rated. If you must visit then the University rents out it's halls of residence when the uni is closed to students in the summer. This option can save you a lot of $$$.

Have a great spring break trip! Thanks for watching. The polo is from Kahala. They make more than Aloha Shirts!
Great video, thanks👍🏼
Great video!
Awesome editing.
Thanks! We will be doing more videos like this one. Mahalo for watching and subscribing!!

Thanks for watching!
We are celebrating our 20th anniversary in March. With your expertise, I'm hoping to plan a great experience.

Rains are different in Hawaii, grew up in Haleiwa. If it's raining you just go surfing because its not cold rain like the Mainland.
Great video. Really liked it, great tips. Just wondering why no reference to the outrigger resorts that are right on Waikiki Beach.
We mentioned the Outrigger beachcomber but forgot to mention the outriggers on the beach. A good value option to be on the beach.
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide I hope it’s a good one. Because that’s where we’re planning to spend our 40th anniversary next April.
Have you made a video about the hula show at the shell, Waikiki! TIA
Hi! For the shuttle ride to the Polynesian cultural center do I need to reserve a ride?? And can it bring me back to waikiki after the show ?
Yes and yes. You buy a ride with your ticket. They will take you back. Have fun!
I HAVE BEEN THERE IN FEBRUARY 2-FEBRUARY 5 (I LEFT AT FEBRUARY 6)
Is it possible to retire in or around Waikiki and not be a multi millionaire? I mean for base necessities not going out to restaurants, entertainment etc. How much would I need for the most common expenses ie rent, ???
Retire in Waikiki? Way to many tourists, so many better and less expensive places (even in Hawaii)
Yeah I agree
I would retire somewhere near.

I’m trying to go with a budget of 4k where and what should I do
I’m trying to go a month near a buffet
that will be tough. Find a vacation rental in Waikiki and use public transport to explore the island.Waikiki has food trucks and other cheap eats.
How wheelchair accessible are their beaches
We do our best to answer that in this article thehawaiivacationguide.com/hawaii-handicap-accessible/
Nicki Minaj made me know about this Island 😅😅
Big up from Jamaica 🇯🇲
😮❤

There's no casinos in hawaii
that is true. Not on the cruise ship either. Not even a state lottery.
You’re have good information
But both of you talk toooo fast
It’s hard to follow you.

I visited a few weeks ago. What a dump. Crap beaches. Crap everything actually. If this is the best beach the US has to offer don’t bother.
