Thank you for your videos! We stayed at the Queen Kapi'olani hotel following your recommendation. Our stay there was spectacular!. The laid back vibe of QK is what I appreciated the most. We had an upfront view of Diamond Head and the ocean. The lobby was not crowded and the staff was super friendly. We enjoyed Queen's Beach at Waikiki just one block away from QK. Also following your recommendations we ventured out to Chinatown, Pearl Harbor, etc. Again I thank you🌈

Wonderful video, very informative, but I actually wanted to see the Halekulani the most since I’m staying there in September and I also really like your style of video (very to-the-point and I like how you cover every important aspect of the hotels without having to do a drawn out walk through) as opposed to other online reviews😂 Ah well, c’est la vie!!!

I stayed at The Laylow, and The Ritz Carlton Residences. In my opinion the Laylow has better beds, but the Ritz Carlton has so much better views. I actually found out that when I stayed at Laylow, the International Marketplace had car rentals and we were able to rent one last minute 5 days for about 600 dollars.

I stayed at the Royal Hawaiian the first time I went to Hawaii, in the 80’s. It is a great hotel. I too love the location as well as its history. I met Kareem Abdul Jabar in the lobby of the hotel. Great experience- he was really nice! I slept every night with the sliding glass door open, just so I could hear the waves crashing on the beach.

Try checking out Ilikai hotel which is at the beginning of Waikiki beach by the marina. As far as I know many updated units with full kitchen. Walking distance to Ala Moana Shopping Center, beach, Magic Island, & Ala Moana beach park. Itʻs kind of away from Waikiki beach crowds. Please wear mask and practice social distance. Not sure if the Kanikapila Grill is opened with local music or not. But they got great food there too. Restaurant below Ilikai has good local breakfast. And there is a brewry with walking distance. Aloha, mahalo, & e komo mai (welcome).
Check out @9:24 - @9.28 mark in this video. You will see Manu O Ku (white tern, Honolulu official bird. Manu means bird. O means of. Ku means standing tall. That MOK is out there searching for food and checking out the drone by the kohala resort.
Itʻs a beautiful white tern with beautiful cobalt blue beak and eyelashes. When you see cluster of fresh big white paint like droppings, look up. You might see MOK either pampering new born chicks or sitting on an egg.
MOK dontʻt build nest. They utilize either the flat spot of branch or cupping to lay their eggs. Only one egg at the time. They strive around Waikiki area. Many trees have blue ribbons indicating active nesting and to advise landscapers to not trim the tree. Hope you enjoy MOK. Please check out White Tern Citizen Science page on FB for more pictures. 😍🤗
Please make sure you only use the environmental safe sunblock lotions. Not sure when the law kicks in, but they ban the typical brand name ones to protect ocean and marine life. They also charge on all shopping bags. Either bring your own reusable shopping bag. Or go to Foodland (one by Ewa side of Ala Moana Shopping Center) buy the fun reusable shopping bags ( about $6, maybe cost more now. you will love them!) They are typically by the cash register area.
In Honolulu, mauka side means the mountain side. Makai means ocean side. Diamomd Head side means east. Ewa side means west. Leedward side means east of island. Leeward side means west of island.
Places to check out: Makapuʻu, Sandy Beach (very strong under current, even shallow water), Kailua, Kaneohe, Kualoa Ranch, North Shore, Sunset beach, Pali Lookout. Donʻt ever bring pork to drive pass Pali Highway! Definitely try poke bowl (raw fish over rice) and spam musubi. 😋
Do install local news app to receive any flash flood warning. Do not venture out to any rivers, falls, and mountains when there is flash flood warning, despite your experience level. It is not worth it.
Also do not turn your back to ocean and be mindful. Too many cases of rescues because of that. Sneaker waves and sudden swells will always catch you off guard. And do not collect rocks and lava rocks from Hawaii. Gives Hawaiian Monk Seals distance if spoting one or more resting on the beach. They are protected. And you will be fine if caught getting too close. Same goes big honu, Sea turtles.
Ps. Always be mindful crossing crosswalks only when the green walking sign is lited. Also cars there tend to run thru red light. Just be mindful and DO NOT cross the sidewalk right away when it turns green!! There are always few cars decided to run red light!! Not worth it. Oh, no jaywalk. It will be $110 I believe. 🤓
Supporting local business. And you will like ABC store. 🤗🤓
      Hope you enjoy your stay.

I don't know if the regular hotel rooms or studios do, but the 1+2 bedrooms 100% do.
