Ok no more rhymes but it's here and I've had it for a while. This review goes over the new big window dot on the block, we take a close up look at the 507 Comp, compare to some others and show you all those reticle options!

Now…if holosun came out with an enclosed emitter with such a large window, I would be willing to swap all of my red dots.
The new scs320 is pretty cool and enclosed. I think the future is more of that.
@@GunsandTactics Yeah, I think in a few years, the DPP/RMS-c screw footprint is going to be the most common footprint standard since it allows room for top mounted enclosed optics. RMR will stubbornly refuse to die just due to the massive installed base. Now if only Leupold would come out with an optic worth owning for their footprint, instead of leaving it to Holosun, SIG and Eotech. :)

Just slapped one on my EDC Staccato. Love it! Spent way more for my SRO and it's in a box somewhere. The new 507 Comp is what everyone was waiting for. It is almost a no-brainer, what took so long.

Do you have to use the Dawson Precision screws that come with their optic plate or do you use the Holosun provided screws for the Staccato?

Nice review. Do you think that the HS507Comp is suitable for a shotgun application used for target shooting? I'm interested in durability and functionality or would a HE508T be a better choice?
What lenses do you use that get rid of some of the bursts for astigmatism?
I have a glock g45 but I'm in doubt between this model and the He508T X2. My goal is competition and defense. Because I wear prescription glasses, I prefer a bigger red dot, but I'm also worried about the size being exaggerated. If you could only have one of them in your pistol, which one would you choose? I use the rim from my 556 to adjust my holosun red dots. It looks like a 9mm case might work as well.

Same width as my XC so it would be fine if you wanted a big window optic
Have always had issues with holosun the reticle starts flickering and sometimes the brightness increases without me doing anything.
Would anyone recommend running this optic on a compact 9mm for OWB EDC? I'm currently running 507C Vulcans (on a M&P9C and Staccato C2) and thinking on switching to the larger 507Comp. And I only use Southern Trapper MVP model leather OWB holsters.
My Holosun 507COMP GR seems to have a red line reflection on the top is that normal?
Holosun makes great product, but I don't like that big logo on the optic. Would be better if was blank

To me any combo of 2 plus a ring is “too much info”
Question: does the size of the 507 effect its ability to fit in a duty holster. I have a Safariland 6390RDS. Thanks.

I got one a month ago, mounted on Glock 17 gen 3 and mine has been problematic with about 1500 rounds on it. I have had it out twice and yes I shoot around 700 plus rounds on a single range day. Mine will work fine, then stop working, then work again. I've tightened it up and works then not. New battery and worked great and then not. An so on. Any suggestions?

Looks like to me the window is as big as the Sig Romeo 3 XL. Definitely larger than the Romeo 3 Max and C-More RTS2 (specially on the horizontal dimension).
Edit: what is that marker you used on the screws called? That’s a genius idea to catch walking screws early.

Is the 507 c. The sane as 507 comp?
The 507c uses the rmr foot print. Like the comp, but much smaller than the 507 comp.

I still go for the dot as well. But to each is own I guess. Shotgun though would be interesting to pattern buck
I use the dot with 8 moa circle. I like my c-more rts2 with 8 moa dot better for competition purposes. Thinking of selling holosun 507comp or trading for another c-more probably 6 moa
