507C
407C
507K

Also talk about the ACSS Vulcan reticle.

I just ordered the 407C for my Glock 20 gen 5.
Very solid review/ comparisons. I’m looking into my first red dot so I’ve been watching videos on UA-cam. This was the best, I’m convinced now the Holosun 407c Green Dot will be good for my G19. I subscribed! Thanks a lot! 👍🏾
Hey I came to the same conclusion
@@georgeformby5161 great minds think alike! 👍🏾🤣
@@eyesnearstactical are you still happy with your choice?
@@georgeformby5161 yes indeed!
Hey dude. I have the Holosun HE507K-GR-X2 Compact mounted on a Sig Sauer p365 x macro. and it is bad ass. What i love about these sights are the ability to Co-Witness the sights. Great review and thanks for the comparison. I am the militia.
I just got the Macro! You think the 507k-Gr is still my best option??
Shhh. Don't tell anyone.
I only recently discovered the ACSS Vulcan system with a 250MOA circle. I find that most helpful for someone who is new to red dots and needs some "training wheels" so to speak with learning to quickly acquire the center reticle. The chevron is very cool, but I prefer a dot. On a defensive CCW I think a 6MOA is perfect, while the 2MOA is better for accuracy. The 2MOA dot / 32MOA circle on the MRS system is really great, but costs the most.
I would much rather a dot instead of the chevron for a pistol. I keep telling them that. I think we’ll see that soon. The acss Vulcan dot is already in a few of their dots. But not the 507 dot. Still waiting.
@@ADudeAndSomeGuns Sometimes there are too many options to consider. A 2MOA dot is for accuracy, a 250MOA circle is for learning. I don't see how those would pair together - maybe a 6MOA dot and a 250MOA circle, but probably not going to be any better than a chevron for infrequent shooter who is learning to quickly find the dot.
@@fredvStein there’s no situation where I wouldn’t want to have that large 250moa ring. Unconventional positions or weak side shooting. There’s a lot of reasons to have it.
Very good comparison, after seeing the recitals and the dots, I think I need the circle, I struggle regaining the dot sometimes after recoil, I’m looking for accuracy and not so worried about speed right now though, I’m going to sleep on it and make a choice in the morning. I’m pretty sure the green chevron with the circle is my winner, the shake awake is what originally got my attention. Much better than having to push a button and hoping the last brightness setting is going to work for the current lighting , I will have to rewatch to see if the chevron came in a closed emitter version. That’s going to be the most trouble free choice long term I’m thinking. Thank you for this content!
I'm sure know this by now, but just in case, you can get the Holosun 509 with the ACSS Vulcan reticle. It is an enclosed emitter optic with the chevron and circle. Hope that helps!
I dont understand how I havent come across your channel before but I love it. You got a quick sub from me. Great content brother the time and effort you put in is showing for sure
Thanks man! I appreciate it.
Quality review! However, I think the title is a bit misleading. Regular 507c is a 2 moa dot w/ a 32 moa ring around it. 507c ACSS is the primary arms variation with the chevron and the massive ring to help you find the dot.
Hey, thanks for this video! Was a big help! Very illustrative. Carry is something new here in NJ. So my needs in a red dot have changed. Size/fit moves up the requirements matrix- smaller being better - to a point. Seeing a 407/507 mounted is a huge help!! Having a sight overhang the sides of a purposefully slim pistol like a G48 seems counterproductive. So your side-by-side cleared that all up Plus Holosun naming gets confusing. So. Big thanks ! Btw. Love the range! To have that much space!! If only….
I've owned and shot just about every brand MRD on the market, and I've come to the conclusion that the Holosun 407Cx2 is pretty much the best all around red dot on the market.
Reliability, price, battery life, battery placement, brightness, and durability... It checks all the boxs. Are there "better" options? I'm sure, because better is completely subjective, but when everything is put on paper, the Holosun is just about impossible to beat.
That said... I personally prefer the plane ol' 2moa dot (talking to you Holosun 407k!!) It's all preference, but I've always shot the smaller dots, so the 6moa (and up) just seems huge.
thanks for very detailed review, trying to decide between green and red dot in diff lighting scenario
Great video, exactly what i was looking for, keep it up! New sub!
Thank you for this video. Best video I've found explaining the difference and helped me make my decision.
Thanks for the great comparison!!!
Super detailed video, great job!
Thanks man
I have both, I think both are fine. 407C is good enough for me.
It's my favorite out of the lot! I prefer just a simple 2moa dot... So everything else is just money I don't need to spend.
@@joeytomato I have the dot & 32 moa ring on my rifle but I feel like it would be too cluttered on a pistol sight. I'm leaning towards the 407c over the 507c for my first red dot on my G19
@@JJ_SDWR This was my exact thinking and I went with the 407C x2
Great video! I just bought a 407c. A suggestion to make your vids even better: get a clip-on mic, like a Rode or something. You have a good voice, but it doesn't come through that great on your camera mic. God bless, good sir!
Thanks for the tip man. My new videos have better audio. (New mic). I’m evolving…..
I came to look for a review on the 507c this isn’t the standard 507c. But still a good review
Great video. Wanted to ask how you ran the holosun on your 43x while co-witnessing 11:51 your stock sights? Is that the MOS version or did you direct mill a normal 43x?
@@mannygvera that’s an mos version. I’d recommend that over the hassle of milling
With having both and shooting both in competition and normal shooting I pick the 507c on a full size pistol
What reticles are being shown at 3:57? These look different from the ACSS and the 2MOA with 32MOA ring. Nevermind... around 6:45 I saw the camera focus adjusting and the reticle I was seeing that looked so different was just the out of focus ACSS. It made it look like a thick outer ring and a center 6MOA dot, lol.
Great video. Thanks for the review. I know what to get for G17. Thank you. Subbed!
Thanks dude
Thank you great review 👍🏽
Question Please....
Did I understand you in saying that with the 407c has a smaller choices in the font-size ?🤔
Do K and C models have same mounting for picatinny adapter? Thanks for informative video!
Looks like the stock glock sights clear just enough to be functional backup sights. I have the ameriglo idot pros and I’m thinking of getting 507c/comp. On g17.3 once milled. Hoping it’ll get similar clearance so I don’t need new irons.
Good review but very difficult to follow which model you were referring to throughout the video.
If I was to get a rmsc mill on my g19 can the standard height sights cowiteness mine ate slightly taller than oem. Will I need taller sights or will taller sights actually be to tall?
507C or 507K for p320 xcarry spectre? Full size grip module, 3.9” slide. I just got a 507C for mine but it doesn’t sit flush with the slide
7:53 the realization of having to spend more money to perfect a weapon system then quickly cutting away 😂
For a 10mm woods/carry wanting the dot version, which would you go with? I really like a green dot as well.
Def go 507C red or green. Bigger window would be better
The shake awake, will caring it in a holster and walking around wake it? I can see it turning itself off while sitting in my safe, but if it can feel movement while carrying, will it be on while holstered?
Yep. My 407k battery is still chugging after close to a year carrying. I’ll probably change it soon.
Is this the comp or the 407c because huge price difference
@@gaspayanga5982 the red dot in the video is a 507C. Not a 507 comp
Well said broher
Which optic is best for a GLOCK 27?
Shake awake is great. Auto brightness works ok but it's way to dim.
That's the only thing I have ever given holosun a ding for.
...but to be fair to Holosun, I've never owned an auto adjust red dot that was great.
Messed around last year and bought a near 700 dollar Trijicon Dual Illuminated RMR for an M9A4 (I do stupid things sometimes) and its NEVER bright enough. Full sunlight will dim it passed being visible, and a TLR1 HL light will completely wash out the triangle. It really only works well if you go into a completely dark closet, with no other light source. Then it glows like new money... But at that point, you can't see what's in front of the gun to aim at! Never been more disappointed in money spent on this hobby.
@@joeytomato I see. I just thought Chinese people had really good eyes. Yeah trijicon is absurdly overpriced.
@@920WASHBURN 🤣
Which optic is best for GLOCK 26
What’s your opinion on mounting a 407K on a full size pistol? I have one and a Springfield XDM Elite 4.5.
I’d put a larger redot on a full-size. The only reason I use the smaller 407k/507k would be because I have a smaller pistol that can’t fit a larger red dot on. I’d want a larger field of view if I can get it.
Where did you find that price for the 407C?
Primary arms.
I'm no expert, but you questioned whether the point of impact on the chevron is the top (point), center, or bottom. The whole point of the chevron is to provide a finite point for exact accuracy; so it's the point at the top. That said, I'm sure some guns simply do not impact on the point depending on loads, etc, , but you should adjust the sight until it does. Right?
I didn't question where ther impact should be, but when presenting the chevron on target, you have to remember thr tip is the POI. The Chevron takes up alot of the target. I'd prefer a dot honestly....
I went with the 407k for my 43x (green dot) it’s great, but I notice it’s got quite a bit of flare on it. Anyone else have this issue and is there a way to fix it?
For a Hellcat would the 507c fit or would I be stuck with the 507k?
Hellcat is RMSc Shield footprint. So only the k models fit.
I have a Glock 23 Gen 3. Would I need the K or C series for my handgun?
I have that same gun. I went 507C Green with the multi reticle option. He didn't cover that here, which is a shame, as it has some nice features.
Just sent my slide, 507C and suppressor sights off to JagerWerks for a milling, nitride finish and sight install. Black Friday sale was $105 and my shipping was $25. So 140 for a direct milling mount specifically for the 507C. Ameriglo sights were 60 on amazon, and the 507C was black friday deal at 295. Merry XMas to me, can't wait to get it back!
I also have a 9mm conversion barrel for this gun, so i get the best of both worlds. And i got it as a police trade in, which made it cheap enough to have the finger bumps removed. My only "modded" pistol, so a slide milling seemed in order...
@kcp91 Nice. I sent my slide to Wager Machine Works (it's there right now) to get cut for an RMR footprint (fits Trijicon RMR & SRO and also the Holosun 407C, 507C and 508T) as well as black nitride treatment. They said it would take 2-3 weeks for everything.
When my slide gets back, I plan on mounting a Holosun 508T on it.
Which one would fit my Canik tp9 elite sc
What slide are you using with the 507?
Do they both fit the trijicon rmr footprint?
The 507c and 407c fit rmr footprints. K models do not.
What plate did you use on the 407k
definitely could've named these better
Will the solar power work without a battery in it?
No
Did you edit this on filmora??
Possibly….
@@ADudeAndSomeGuns I know this because I used that instrumental at the beginning on my other channel 😂😂. I was like WAIT, I know that beat!! 😆🤣🔥
What holosun should I put on the new sig p365 x macro tac ops without the como ?
Pretty sure the 407k and 507k would fit.
Thank you
I’m putting together a g19 clone and picked up a 507c to top it off
Iam getting my frist dot which one should I get the 407 or 507.
Range use only
What you can afford. They’re both solid.
For range, get the 507 multi reticle system. They have green and red, I prefer green. The 32 moa open circle option would be great for speed, I'm going to be training on it for IDPA competitions. I've been doing IDPA about 7 years now. Everything was iron sights when I started and I was decent, like top 1/3-1/4 overall. They opened up the Carry Optics class and now I'm lower 1/2. Giving it a shot in 2024...
Can I put 407k on G21
Man it's hard to beat the "Elite" or HE407c x2 Green 2moa dot. Solar & fully automatic for less than $200 shipped to my door on my Dagger SW4 Upper on my G19X Frame.
Most don't know or say there's a difference between the "HE or Elite" compared to the "HS or Standard" versions
Where did you find it for under $200? It's $259 every where I look. Thanks!
Did you change backplates to fit the dagger uppers on your 19x? I heard it’s necessary to mix and match slides cause they are different Gens.
I think it’s funny that the lower battery life is still 10,000 hours 😂
Is it pretty standard to have to replace stock iron sights to suppressor height sights when running a red dot? Or does it just depend on the red dot?
Yeah you should use suppressor height iron sights no matter the dot. You need that extra height to line that back sight with the front sight while looking through that window to co witness if need be.
Mostly all of them yes
However check out the new holosun scs that they just released a while back, they created it for the MOS version and it’s intended to be used with the stock sights
@@josequinonez8900 I think you mean the EPS
@@craven1927 No I did mean the scs, it was designed for the glock MOS to be used without the plates, I don’t know much about the EPS but if you can also run it with stock iron sights then that’s pretty interesting to know
@@josequinonez8900 yeah, the websote states: "The EPS features our lowest deck height, facilitating use with standard height iron sights on many pistol models."
I also saw where it says the same for the SCS so I guess they both do it
507k green.
Took Mine off and sold it takes to long to look threw it so seconds count. If I am In a fire fight I dont wat a red dot
Its all in the training, I felt the same way, but eventually red dot is faster.
That is true I would say I am in my 60s never had anything like that growing up. All new stuff to me I am old school I guess, might try it again and give it more time. Thanks friend.@@lancebangwell
I had never shot a reflex sight until last week. Literally took a few shots and was already faster than standard sights for me. I have one eye, so that may be why.
@@Weasel84x having one eye must suck but I imagine that makes target and sight acquisition incredibly easy.
The chevron is whats been keeping me from making my final decision but i noticed the dot ACSS , but i do want the larger 507 with a dot as well as i want a solar panel with the ACSS vulcan. I also want a closed system
What else?
They are nice but customer service is terrible.
Very confusing. Too much to choose from.
For real
Neither. Buy an American made Trijicon RMR and have the best, most durable red dot you can own.
Lol. The guys playing catch up to holosun? Yeah I’m good.
Hell no. Double the price but half as many features. My holosun have never failed me but I’ve watched an rmr fail two different times
@@disdurbed100 If you like Chinese stuff, then I guess. Hold both in your hand. There is simply no comparison. The RMR is built far stronger, with thicker aluminum, clearer glass, perfect, tight clearances, and zero gimmicks, like some huge red ring that no one who trains with their dot needs anyway. And it’s also made without a cheap label plastered in big white letters across each side. That label alone should steer you away from Holosun. The lettering makes it look like a cheap toy that I wouldn’t want on my firearm. I’ve been using American made Trijicon dots in various forms for over 10 years without a single failure. And who the hell pays double the price? I would be willing to, but I don’t have to. You’ll pay about $100-$150 more for an equivalent Trijicon product. That’s not much more at all in the big picture.
Shooting straight down a road??? Absolutely horrendously dangerous. You need some training ASAP.
Some say I’m a wild man!
I don't think you realize that the "road" isn't a normal road it looks like it's an drive thru shooting course of some sort. So there is no traffic except one way and even then it's on his or someone he knows property... And it's intentionally setup that way. Check out Tier 1 Citizen as another example. He's got an overland vechile course or something similar to this
@@AN_APPEAL_2_HEAVEN yeah, it’s a private range, that “road” is dirt path to targets down range.
lol dumbass he can aim
