I played Vice City when it came out, and I'm just realizing how there's a bigger time distance between 2020 and 2002 than it is between 2002 and 1986, when the game takes place (and also my birth year). Damn I feel old.

As violent and temperamental as he is then yes. That is a very respectable trait.

GTA Vice City has the most epic story and radio stations ever. Also the characters were fantastic, especially Tommy Vercetti and his bombastic shirt. I love the 80's!!!

Well, in his defense they don't really show people sleeping in real life movies very often.
4:55 Tommy and Ken split up. It's late, and Tommy tells a worried frantic Ken Rosenburg to get some sleep. Tommy exits the car an goes home. (I think that's the implied idea that it's late and Tommy needs some rest before having to listen to a full day of Sonny's bullsh*t spewing) lol.

Tommy Vercetti was the greatest character in the GTA universe, voiced by Ray Liotta. What am I saying... almost every character in this game is voiced by a Hollywood Legend. Trully a epic masterpiece of crime. Honored to have spent my childhood years playing this game!

All the sounds are so on point. The soundtrack is literally the greatest sound track of all time bar none but the weapons pickup tone is iconic. The cars engine is like music to the ears, the police dispatch. Just a very auditory pleasing game

For Me i never seen alot of Ray Liotta's films but i was lucky enough to play GTA Vice City which turned out to be one of Ray's most iconic voice acting roles as Tommy Vercetti.

I, for the life of me, never knew until recently that the guy in the beginning who made the deal was Victor Vance, the protagonist of Vice City Stories. From his accent when he talks, I thought he was just some generic South American schmuck. This blew my mind.
Imagine if we had played as that version of Vic
I hope in GTA 6, we go back to Vice City to see what It looks like in modern times in the HD Universe and see the legend once again.

Imagine if Rockstar decided to connect all cities that we had an opportunity to visit in the whole GTA saga.
They should have done it for the Definitive Edition. It wouldn't have been that hard (modders have already done it) and while they were at it, add the LCS & VCS missions to the new big map.

Tommy is badass, but the most dangerous is claude from GTA:III, in that game he showed signs of being a psychopath, hell i wouldn't be suprised if he is one, he showed little to no emotion in that game at all.

Vice City certainly had it's flaws, assault rifles were pretty much useless on PS2, but I stand by the fact that it is the most drop dead gorgeous game of the entire series. Just the amount of colour in it.

It's been about 15 years since I played Vice City and now I finally somehow understand its story, thanks to this video. I feel like I'll throw some more money at Steam and try to play it again.
Also I'm fascinated how you could shoot out head, hand, leg...and now game developers don't care, doesn't matter where you shoot, you usually get one of two animations and that's all. It were simpler times, where you were afraid of water and everything looked so real and perfect, some things were actually better than 15 years later. And now when I watch rolling subtitles and see bridge with water texture, I don't know what to think. But I still love it.

I love the story, I love Tommy (personal fav protag), but what I can't get over is how beautiful this game is. Not just the visuals, but the sounds too.

I just noticed something: Tommy is like a freakin Frankenstein. Staying up all stiff like and in some cutscenes he’s towering over everybody. Still love this game though, wish they remade it with better graphics though, but it shows how great this game, another rockstar early masterpiece. I miss this game.
