The 77th annual Cannes Film Festival is a film festival taking place from 14 to 25 May 2024.American filmmaker and actress Greta Gerwig will serve as jury president for the main competition. French actress Camille Cottin will host the opening and closing ceremonies.
Payal Kapadia is an Indian filmmaker. She is best known for having won the Golden Eye award for best documentary film at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival for her film A Night of Knowing Nothing.In 2017, her film Afternoon Clouds was the only Indian film that was selected for the 70th Cannes Film Festival.
All We Imagine as Light is a 2024 film written and directed by Payal Kapadia. It stars Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, Chhaya Kadam and Hridhu Haroon in the lead roles.

Earlier me also surprised without knowing Malayalam how she directed perfectly. After watch this interview I understand how much she had struggle and she put lot of effort because she doesn’t know malayalam. Her crew help her lot.
I just watched the movie trailer and would like to watch the complete movie. First of all, congratulations Payal Kapadia for making a meaningful film and the entire film cast and its team. I like the fact an Indian woman representation at the Cannes film festival without any glam sham. Since I am originally a Mumbaikar and from Maharashtra, a shout to Chaya Kadam who is an amazing and unassuming actress.
The last line by Payal Kapadia sums up what I am feeling after watching this interview - "WOW! You were really good". Now, All WE IMAGINE is Palme d'Or ❤️🤞

So so glad we finally get to see her talk about the film. I just saw her interview with Anupama Chopra as well. Artists talking about their work provides one with so much more. It's an exciting moment. I can't wait to see the film. I saw the trailer and it's so beautifully shot and of course it's a great cast.

Payal Kapadia know that how difficult it is to love someone from different religions in india. I'm Hindu my girlfriend is Muslim our family knows this but they don't want us to disclose our relationship on social media platforms because of Muslims community and political atmosphere in india when I go to her area which is Muslim majority I tell people my fake name and also she has to removes her hijab whenever we go for a Date . Indian people should give each and everyone (Hindu, Muslim, Christian etc) equal freedom to love anyone 😢😢😢😢
