Hello!
Here is my complete guide on how to install and set up windows VM on your Mac device (both M1/M2 Apple Silicon chip and Intel) using UTM, and I will also show how to install PowerBI on you MacOS device using the created VM. Completely free.

is it ok to uninstall everything if the windows will not boot in the UTM virtual machine? initially the windows opened, but when i try to download powerbi. it will no longer open.. i get error messages: failed to load boot001 "uefi qemu qemu usb hardrive etc.. not found.. loading boot005 windows boot manager etc.. can you help?

why the resolution on my VM sucks
it worked for me... but want to know 2 things..1. The screen are blur how to solve the focus.. 2. The system is slow i think space should be 50gb min, so how can i increase it ..?

1. Not sure about this one, my best guess is that you may need to mess around with display settings as if you were on an ordinary windows machine.
2. The more memory you assign to your VM the better, but I'm not sure that it can significantly change the performance. 8:39 settings may be more useful, increasing RAM and number of CPU cores might help get better performance.

Did right-click work? Shortucts like cmd+v won't work for sure, but right-click + paste worked for me
hey! while i am in installation process it showing me to downlload " chntpw " while i am giving the command "brew install chntpw" it throwing an error like "Warning: No available formula with the name "chntpw".

hello, I also encountered this, i had to use another command using sudo: port. but you have to install Macport packages to be able to use the sudo port. then you will re-run the previous command. Everything will go smoothly from there.
It does install and all good, but is it normal that the windows is not as fast as I expect? Kinda lagging a bit. I gave it all the default settings, 4 core 40 GB of hard space...

Hi! not sure that this late response is still relevant, but still. Steps from 4:03 are exclusive for m1/m2.
6:32 is the time intel users continue. Thus, everything after 6:32 is mandatory for both intel and apple silicon.

No, if it’s turned off it will only take away storage memory from you machine. When it’s turned on - it absolutely will, unfortunately. If you think of it as of 2 concurrent pc turned on at the same time, the hardware capacity is split between them (we actually control how much resources we give to the VM when configure RAM and number of CPU cores in VM settings)
their is no option of "continue with limited steps" when it ask me of wifi , neither i am able to press next button , i am stuck please help
Not sure what the cause is. Make sure you've downloaded the exact same files in the beginning that are responsible for Windows specifications. If you did everything same as shown in the tutorial, not sure how to fix that as I've never met this issue.
7:10 BASH doesn't want to enter the directory
it reads no such file or directory, while it is clearly followed your steps
Hello! You might try to access a directory being in another directory or path, that does not contain it. Double check if you have your directory in Desktop and also you are in your Desktop in the terminal.
If you are stuck, try to understand the cd command - it is simple, and navigate to your directory. Watch the typing as well of course.
