Do you like Bud Light, Miller Lite or Coors Light the best? Do you think you can tell the difference between them? We put them head to head in a blind taste test to see if we could figure which was which. Did we guess them correctly? Does the one we buy the most turn out to be the one that tastes the best. This was a very enlightening experience for us about three of America's best-selling beers!
Miller is the best of the three. Coors is very close to miller though. Bud is no competition.
Bud is best fuck you
Brandon Perdue Bud Light is awful...
They are all the same once you start drinking, go for the cheapest one
Bud light is so smooth tho......cant beat it
1. Miller Lite by far
2. Bud Light (but only good on tap)
3. Coors Light (just tastes dirty, must be consumed when it's ICE cold)
It's pretty funny that the one dude managed to get all three incorrect. That's remarkable.
B. Henderson I see what you did there.
@@jstamplewhat did he do there?
I mean, it's only 3 light beers..it would be harder with light beers. So long as they are all cold, I could easily guess all 3 and I already know the order I would put them in as far as my favorites go. But I'm also a beer lover/drinker and I'd rather drink beer than something like wine. Wine just puts me to sleep 💤 Champagne is a NEVER for me (buzz lasts 5 minutes if you even get one and *worst hangovers ever, EVERYTIME!*. I like mixed drinks, but I hardly EVER go out and I've maybe had 5 in the last decade. Straight shots I haven't really done since my early-mid twenties, minus a few fireball shots here and there. Beer, I enjoy. I hate soda, but I love beet, and my pallate for beer is pretty dead on! These are 3 of these easiest beers imo to compare. And they never give me a headache (like the one guy said in the video). Anywho, sorry for ramblihg but it's been a dreary, borif day out and I'm feeling chatty!
No possible way I could distinguish these apart. And I am so very thankful for this inability.
*I Dont see how anyone can prefer Bud Light over COORS LIGHT!? It is FAR FAR More refreshing & Tasty, Bud Light tastes cheap, Foamy, Flat & Heavy, without Flavor.. Coors far superior*
Back when this vid was made 7 years ago i'd said I'd take Miller over Coors but nowadays i'd take Coors over Miller any say. Never been into piss water Bud Light whatsoever.
Cuurz is gay
Dilly Dilly!!!
But Id still buy Miller
Budlight is my favorite
coors
Yea my first beer was Bud light, when i drank it i realized i didn't like beer... a while later i had a Sierra Nevada Torpedo... then i realized Bud light is terrible
hell yeah my uncle is a brew master for sierra nevada
todd segel I enjoy a Coors light almost every day after work, and I just can't get my taste buds to like SN, Don't know why.
Welp my comment got deleted so i have no clue what i said lol, but to each their own! drinking a magic hat golden ale right now cheers!
For me Coors Light has the best flavor and is the most refreshing. If I'm going to have a cold beer on a hot summer day it's always Coors Light or Corona.
YOU ~ ROCK ! ! 🤛
I can't stand Miller Light. It's a nasty beer, and leaves a horrible aftertaste. I'd rather drink a budget beer from Aldi, than drink Miller Light. That's just my opinion, and respect anyone who disagrees with me. To each his own. I enjoyed your video, and look forward to seeing another one. Take care.
very cool video! I agree... I've always had this suspicion that Bud light is more watered down... Coors and miller are tied in my mind... I don't really ever drink BMC's but if I had to I would probably go with Miller light.
I actually tried this and I had them all correct but then i second guessed myself. I was a little confused from miller and coors but bud light stood out to be the worst tasting. Proud of myself for that because I usually talk very lowly of bud light haha
No question. Basically the best mass production beer. Simply compare something like Bud or Coors to something like Milwaukee's Best.
There's really no comparison
Couple years ago we did a taste test at a superbowl and miller lite won the contest followed by coors and bud light. Been drinking miller since.
Coors is best, then miller, then bud light.
Bobbo Tron yes
Two California residents...Bud Light isn't one of them listed...7 beers in all.
Regardless...you guys ROCK!
I completely agree I have yet to try coors light but I definitely agree that bud light is very watered down and it doesn't have a really strong taste, a little on the finish but overall it just tastes like watered down miller light in my opinion
@Deathblooms8788 Not only does Miller Lite taste great, but it's less filling as well - or so I hear.
Thanks for watching!
I used to really drink a lot of Miller Light at home when I was younger. It was a great beer! I drank Bud Light, but not as many while in school. At a bar, Coors Light was really readily available as the dollar twenty-five pint where you could get basically unlimited refills not spending much if you were at the bar for a longer time. Go back and look at some of the beer TV spots for Miller for example from the seventies. Our culture has changed dramatically, I wish it was like it was then.
Pints for $1.25 US. Ha. Fuck me mate, that would be mental.
Where i live, a pint will set you back $10 min. in a decent bar. Just getting buzzed costs a fortune.
Miller is my favorite of the three.
Huge bud light fan here, and to be honest with you I don't know why. I mean I can drink half a case of these things and go to bed happy, wake up and run a mile. I don't know, maybe it's just my chemistry (and the fact that I'm 20 haha) in any event, I've had all of these and bud light has never let me down. I don't what it is, but it's great for me.
To each their own I suppose. I hate bud light lol. but im not gonna hate.
I was starting to think that no Bud drinkers would show their support. It is the best selling beer in American, so you know it has a lot of fans.
@TekaDon A lot of people drink these beers. Our show isn't just about high-end craft beers, we do plenty of beers of every caliber. Sometimes you have to drink the bad ones to appreciate the good ones.
I really miss this show, it’s what got me into beer.
Coors Lite is the best
Dopest Gaming Your better off with a case of bottled water 💧🤣🤣🤣🤣
These beers are decent and not offensive, but they definitely aren't exciting for craft beer enthusiasts. Hope you will tune in for the final episodes!
Miller Lite for me. Coors light is good also. Bud light is never an option. Good review
Those are not crap beers. They are high attention to detail light beer. Miller light has always been my go to light beer. Coors light has always had a strange after taste to me.
Coors light guy usually, but I've been hitting the IPA's pretty heavy over the last year, but they are not for all day drinking. Going to have to try Miller Lite and check it out.
Yuuup. I love my IPAs, DIPAs, but they get you very, very drunk. Coors Light for me when I’m just shooting some pool or bowling.
I didn't look at the vid, I just listened, and as soon as he said "this one looks like it's actually lacing the glass a little bit" I immediately said that one's miller. that beer actually makes some froth, though particularly miller high life which is their cheapest offering. looks like almost all of them recognized bud on first taste. that would only leave coors. I think I could've aced this test.
As one who hates the taste of beer but drinks a case at least one weekend per month, I'll take whatever leaves less of a bitterness on the back of my tongue. I hate that bitter aftertaste.
They slip up every now and then, but they are good at being honest about their opinions for the most part. Thanks for the kind words.
Any fool can criticize, condemn, and complain but it takes character and self-control to be understanding and forgiving.
I drank Coors Lite for years then switched to BL for awhile because I liked the rice for awhile, did Modelo for a minute, and honestly been Miller now for a while. Maybe it's the corn...? ML blows them all out of the water imo. Not sure why everyone seems to drink all the others....probably just bigger marketing budgets with the others.
I did a blind tasting in Costa Rica with Imperial and every other lager down there, I was wrong every time and James, you know when I go down there Imperial is my jam.
That beer is not cold you know how I can tell the mountains on the side or not blue
DFH 120 min. IPA is a session beer for me...lol but i really did enjoy this video, because none of these beers have very much flavor, if any at all. I always try and educate my light beer drinking buddies on different types of lagers or pilsners that actually have flavor and won't deter them from craft beer right off the jump.
Coors, I can't point to them because even I don't know which one it is! :)
If I have to choose between the three, it's Miller Lite. But if I can have any American macro lager, I'll go either Coors Banquet or Budweiser. That being said, give me Sierra Nevada Pale Ale any day of the week over any of them.
Blogging For Change I agree. If you’re gonna have a macro it might as well be a beer. I personally think all light beers are kinda gross. Even something like busch or pbr beats drinking a diet beer
We have starting doing a lot of blind taste tests to try and take the marketing bias out of our reviews. Viewers seem to like them.
I live close to the boarder and have had all three of these brewed in Canada and the U.S. Completely different when it is the same beer. Pabst Blue ribbon up here is brewed under license of Sleeman. Is one of my fav's down there not so much.
I would say that Coors Light is the better option out of the three. For sure!
Although I'd rather drink a shiner bock or a saint Arnold's lawn mower I do enjoy coors on a hot day it's refreshing.
goldielocksetx Coors Light IS By far the most refreshing beer.. Bud light is awful. Coors & Michelob Ultra the 2 MOST REFRESHING BY FAR!
I'm more of a IPA kinda guy, but if I'm out at bar or something Yuengling/Miller Lite are usually my go to beers. Coors ill drink once in awhile just to mix it up, never been a fan of bud light.
Great host for the show. These videos are entertaining and these 3 dudes know what they're talking about... most the time.
I personally prefer to buy Coors light between those 3 as you guys stated they are made for high drinkability and those are the types of beers I enjoy
Bud Light, Coors, Miller. I've hated Miller every time I've had it, but Bud is great for getting hammered quickly.
I liked Coors Light but I tasted Miller and Miller Light and I think I would choose Miller Light as my favourite but I would still Drink Coors Light if I ran out of Miller Light just because they are both really good beers.
Coors Light taste is much sweeter than the other two. Bud Light doesn't have much taste, but nothing off putting to the average consumer. Miller Lite is a little in between, probably more well rounded mix of sweetness and hops. Natural Light is another Macrobrew American Light Lager that may be better than all three. It's very similar to Miller Lite. You have to drink these beers a lot to be able to tell the difference. I would probably fail on Miller Lite vs Natural Light, but I could easily tell the difference between Coors Light and Bud Light.
I only have one thing to say... "Triple Hopped" Miller Lite is Triple hopped so that is the secret to their success. Ha ha.
Bud Light - Uses Rice as their main adjunct
Coors Light - Uses Rice as their main adjunct
Miller Lite - Uses Corn Starch as their main adjunct
Coors light tastes like Christmas to me, not bad. Bud light has an awful liquor taste to it, I'd rather straight Bud or Bud 55 select. I'd choose Miller lite out of the three.
Try the Bohemia or Modelo, you won't be disappointed!
+Brad Bourgeois Wait wait wait... you can taste Bud light? You must have a very sensitive palate, because I didn't taste _anything_.
Brad Bourgeois try a michelob light, its the best beer out of the top 3, and its anhauser-busch's top shelf offering... mich light is great!!
I've looked at a handful of Lights blind taste tests and so many get this wrong that it even goes against random picking. Just shows that there is nothing in it. The taste that is.
I recently tried mixing
1 part Crest Super 10% with
7 parts Cheap Fizzy Water.
The taste was pretty close. Much cheaper though.
A lot of people do. I used to drink them all the time. It's just a matter of what you've been exposed to and what you are used to.
I am really into beer, So I always buy what ever is on sale. (Commercial beer is commercial beer). I make a lot of my own.
out of the 3 I would choose coors, but you go to is either Heineken or Steinlager pure
I
I agree sort of. I would prefer Miller Lite, but they are very similar.
i don't get it i have drank all of these and i always think miller is the weakest watered down bud light is my fav but oh we'll, great show
Coors light has always been my preference.
Yeah. My opinion is that between these three beers you should just buy whatever is cheapest.
Reading the comments people keep saying all these beers taste the same, but it was really clear from the video that Bud Light was easy to distinguish from the other two because of it's lack of real beer taste (watered down).
Funny BL is the biggest beer brand in the US. As far at the US beer IQ has come in the last few years, it's notable that watered down beer is still the default choice. You'd hope that beer drinkers would insist on a modicum of taste even while drinking lawn mowing beer.
When I was 17 Miller Lite and High Life got me into beer. So I'll always have a soft spot for Miller.
coors then miller then bud.... I however drink bud probably the most because thats what everyone else wants when we order pitchers... and i agree that BL gives me a head ache if i drink more then 3-4!
This was fun. I have not tried such a thing. I doubt I could name them because frankly I have very little experience trying any of those to begin with. I think this video proves a good point, which is pretty much the assumption that most beer lovers (lite or craft) operat with. That is, craft beer is more expensive and filling, but has good flavors that vary from beer to beer. Lite beer is cheap, has little flavor, and is almost indistinguishable from other lite beers. Nice work.
Are you surprised that they are saying that? It's all relative. They have a lot of flavor compared to water, but not next to some of the fancy schmancy craft beers we've been tasting.
Not a fan of bud-light. I buy coors lights and miller light all the time but definately coors light is the beer i could drink all the time and never want to switch it up.
I feel like me and the guy on the far right agree almost 100% on all the reviews I watch on your channel. I choose miller lite if I have to have one of these beers at say a football game or somewhere that doesn't sell craft beer.
You should do the blind taste test sometime and see if you can tell the difference.
Have you ever done the blind taste test? I thought they were all very similar, but that bud light had slightly less flavor.
OK fine. I'll try to arrange it this weekend.
@Tianjoja Thanks. I love the positive reinforcement. Makes me want to make more videos. Thumbs up to your comment.
I did not realize that they tasted differently. Budweiser is known for its quality control.
Thanks for tuning in!
I was doing my own Bud vs Coors test since Safeway didn't have Miller Lite. At Super Cold temps they taste the same. As soon as they are just cold, the Coors tastes hoppy while the Bud Lite is very smooth and easier for a non-regular beer drinker to finish off...but I feel a headache coming on...
i really don't understand why everyone gives other beers such a hard time. To me, "real" beers are not that great, but what ever someone likes, that's what they like.
...but it tastes great AND it's less filling. How do you explain that?
Newcastle and Guinness are both session beers. Palo Santo is on the complete opposite end of the spectrum though - one of my favorite beers.
@BeerGogglesReviews They were all so, so similar. If you are going to buy one of them you might as well just buy whatever is cheapest.
Marketing is a major part of it. That's why we have been incorporating more blind taste tests into our show.
You should do a blind taste test to double-check your opinion. Although it might not be a fair test because PBR isn't a light lager. PBR vs. Budweiser might be the better comparison.
I think the headache thing is common in most people that drink Bud. Regular Bud gives me a splitting headache the next day, Bud Light does nothing to me.
Coors light is the most refreshing beer to me
If i had to pick up a 6 pack of one of these beers it'd be miller light. For me it has the most taste and its the most drinkable. I really love this episode this is an experiment ive been wanting to try for sure. I just gotta give you guys credit because all of you really know your beer and know what you're talking about. Keep em coming! Cheers
Out of these 3, Miller Lite is my go to beer. It tastes the best in my opinion. It used to be Coors back in the day for me, but the last time I had one I didn't even wanna finish the rest of the 6 pack after I had been drinking Miller for a while. Coors tastes weird to me now. Like one guy already said in the comments, Coors has a weird after taste to me (It never used to). I also find Coors having too much carbonation. Bud light also gives me headaches like the one guy said, I dunno why, so that is why I stay away from it. Miller Lite is definitely the best out of these 3 in my opinion.
At first i thought these guys were Canadian. Funny good looking and easy going...you see what I did there eh! LOL I find it funny too these beers are all brewed here in Canada by big breweries here that have a license. Miller is one of my favorite schlock beers when at a bar. But they taste completely different brewed here and brewed in the u.s .
none are good but I think coors goes great with a bloody for a beer back which I guess is a mid-west thing
It is of no surprise how this turned out.
Unfortunately in America marketing is what sells, and who has the most money does the most marketing.
Maybe that's why it is the most popular beer in America.
Here's an idea for a new video: budget light beer challenge. ie: Beast Light vs. Keystone Light vs. Natural Light
What's interesting is that Bud Light has the most calories and least flavor out of the three. If you're switching from standard beer to light for the sake of watching your calories, there is no reason to even consider Bud Light. It won't satisfy you flavor-wise (assuming any light beer would), and it's not even that low in calories.
Miller Lite and Coors Light are about neck-and-neck as far as flavor goes, and Miller beats the other two for lowest calories. Out of these three choices, I pick Miller Lite.
Y'know, Miller Lite is the only BMC I think I'd turn down. I really like High Life.
To me I can tell Coors Light because it is so dry tasting, Bud & miller taste watered down, but I can tell the difference, and usually I don't drink lite, (other than Guinness Draught, which is so much better than Canadian Extra Stout) Tecate Lite tastes good too, but If I had to choose one of one the 3 I'd pick miller
Miller Lite wins 80% of BLIND taste tests. They must be BLIND though. The reason why so many people buy Bud Light is because they have a slick NFL ad campaign.
Try this: Ask some BudLightBandwagonBoy what his favorite beer is. He'll say "Bud Light". Then give him 2 glasses: One with Miller, one with Bud. Ask him what tastes better. He will say Miller Lite. Works every time. Advertising can f*ck with ppls minds...
Thanks for the info. We forgot to look it up before the taping.
My gut says Guy #1 and 4 are on reefer ! What do you guys think ?
That's the reason why we did the blind taste test. Cheers.
i'm big into IPAs (single, double or imperial), milk stouts, and porters, but when i'm out or drinking alot i usually go with Coors Light or Miller Lite. Bud Light just pisses me off. it tastes like nothing. another light beer i don't mind is Molson Canadian Light. it actually has slightly more flavor than Miller Lite, IMO.
@Hahhbs The pours were a little heavier than I asked for.
I like when you review well known beers because then the viewers can identify with what the raters are saying.
PBR is something that everyone in this world needs....everyone would be a bit happier.
@dhartogs I think the same could probably be said about most Central and South American Pilsner-style lagers. They are all pretty much the same - but - they taste great after a surf session!
