Great tips. Just finished building a platform to level out the bed in my Y. Kelty makes a great awning that works fantastic if you put it off the side of the vehicle. With a 300w jackery and solar panel I can run my elec cooler indefinitely. I recommend also a cargo box to put on the hitch. Makes a great cooking area. Enjoy the camping!

5:40 The latest iOS update (4.35.0) to the Tesla app changed it so the car doesn't wake up when checking the app. It'll only wake up if you issue a command. I assume this update has also rolled out to the Android version as well, but if it hasn't yet, should be coming soon 👍

Helped me make some camping choices when we got our Tesla MY but on a first camping tripI also found out the hard way that that little light on the rear gate does not turn off when camping with SUV. Instead of taping it I was able to push in the hinge on the rear gate with a pen or something that fits the slot and it simulates it closing and turns the light off. One less thing to drain the battery at night. Now If someone can explain to me why some functions on the app don't work when there is 0 cell service that would be great. I thought it should all work via bluetooth.
?? Question.... I'm on my first Tesla ... a model 3 LR and was curious if any of the tents you mentioned work with the 3? I have camped once in my car for a few days and enjoyed it and am interested in doing more and expanding the possibilities. Thanks for any input you can give, I appreciate you!
I wanna get tesla y for sole purpose of camping I live in Calgary and it’s near banff and Canmore , so it could also be used for daily commute but main purpose is camping lol😂

If you need to use camp mode but want the cameras on just put it in either dog mode or keep, it will keep the car cool while keeping sentry mode on.

You’ll have to sleep at an angle! Get that seat extender! It helps a lot
