Thank you!! I am a single mom of 6 living on only the income that I bring in, and I can't even express how helpful this was. Twice you made me cry and I said out loud, thank you for this Lord, I am so encouraged!! Yes, yes, and yes to 1000 more videos like this please :) May God continue to bless you and your family.
You made me cry too. Memories of our first home and how bad it was. We were 18 & 19 and I was pregnant. We rented a very old single wide trailer. If you walked across the living room just so, the front door popped open. But it was all we could afford. We didn’t have credit yet either and I was adamant on not leaving our baby with someone I didn’t know to get a min wage job. I did without things others consider a necessity. Being honest about the tears is what I think was most helpful. Sometimes we feel like we are the only ones who have days, years like this. I remind myself even today that running water, indoor plumbing, a door that locks, windows that open and close….this is more than so many in the world have.
We are in a similar situation as a family with two Littles. We have a contract on our first home that we will hopefully be living in next month. Albeit small, we are feeling so blessed.
Yes, you just mentioning the tears of frustration made me feel seen. Currently praying about where to go (how??) from here as we need to live this home soon.
I am just getting into homemaking but unfortunately, I can’t stay home. I have to work. My husband and I both work full time and live paycheck to paycheck but i’m trying to incorporate more homemaking into our household to save money. I appreciate all of your tips!
I’ve tried gardening and making my own bread and food from scratch, my husband hates vegetables and is very picky with food. Then my daughter won’t eat anything that’s made with sourdough, I was so excited to try and they all just resist anything different 😢it’s hard to find peace when you’re idea of it,is the opposite of everyone else’s.
I feel like this about the massive TV in our house that I hate but everyone else loves 😂 Maybe try water kefir to start. It’s so good. I’ve never met anyone who doesn’t love it. Then once they’ve passed the mental hurdle of healthy being gross, you can try more stuff. Also, if made with fresh starter, Farmhouse on Boones sourdough chocolate chip cookies can’t be detected as sourdough 😂 Oh and if they like yogurt, maybe a milk kefir smoothie?
Praying for you dear sister. My people were a bit resistant too. Eventually they came around. Sandwich bread is softer and easier to transition. Keep going!!!
Stove story here. We bought a bottom of the line stove and it was a maytag. The thing for so hot on the outside that it would burn you. We fought the company for weeks and just returned it because it was so dangerous and went with a different company.
Yes, more tips please!!! I work part time and homeschool our girl but trying to find more ways to save money and cook from scratch. I've loved your channel for years!
Any stove I've ever had has been second hand. I discovered quickly that anything made after 1960 just would not hold up under the work load. My current stove is from '49. One of my all time favorite stove was a '30's Magic Chef (she cooked like a dream). I could never afford for someone to rehab my stoves so I did it myself. I've never paid more than $75. Lowest was $10. I didn't have a stove for over 2 years. I didn't have a kitchen sink for two years. I finally found a deep industrial sink that measures 92 inches. Total workhorse! You have great content! Keep bringing it on❣️
I would love some frugal allergy tips when you get it all figured out! Not for myself, but I have a sister who is a mother to 9 and dealing with multiple health problems that while they aren't "allergies" per say do restrict her diet quite a bit at this time. I know she can't afford to get a lot of the usual specialty groceries just for herself and still feed a family of 11. Plus, being a busy mom and dealing with a lot of fatigue. So anything quick and easy, but budget friendly. (The biggest ones she needs to avoid are wheat, dairy, and sugars (including honey and some of the other natural sweeteners, anything with erythritol, as they make her throat itchy...)
I'd love some tips on getting kids clothes cheaply, how to store hand me downs, keeping our home clean without a bunch of store bought cleaners. I could keep going 😂
Your videos are always full of so many diverse topics and you are such an exceptional example of a Titus 2 mentor to us younger ladies!!!! You have blessed, inspired and encouraged me beyond what a UA-cam comment could ever convey! May The Lord continue to bless your efforts and surround you with the strength and courage to press on in everything He has set before you. ✝️💛🌻
This title made me click faster than the speed of lightning! Haha. We are a military family that can’t choose our base/city so we have to be frugal on the single income in CA 😅
There are several UA-camrs I watch that have Zline appliances and they have all said the same thing you did that they aren't reliable. You would think for the price that they would be! I absolutely love your channel and your aesthetic is beautiful!
Love this video! Please share more on the topic! We aren’t low income but we try to be frugal and we live as a family of 6 in a 550 sq ft home to be able to afford our large property we just bought. Love all your tips and your home. ❤
For more frugal ideas with protein and allergen friendly: Indian food! Lentils and rice is a complete protein. Chickpeas, rice, lentils can be ground into flour. Awesome as savory pancakes, wraps, crackers.
Youre such a blessing to this community!! Although I would be unfair to say that we are low income, I can assure you that even those who ordinarily live comfortable lives have been struggling the past year, maybe several. Inflationary numbers we are seeing all over the place are inaccurate (if we are trying to see the best in others), but at the worst, they’re total lies. All by design. Even with a moderately good income for our area of the US, we have 3 children still living at home, and 1 is married and doing well on her own. (Dave Ramsey was helpful when raising the kids to be as debt-free as possible.) everything is more expensive, and steadily rising, with no peak in sight. All I’ve said is truth, and not meant to be a Debbie Downer. But… because of you, and many others like you, we are using and perfecting our producing skills, and trying to minimize our consumption…. But it’s hard. Not gonna lie. We just pray and keep on going. God is SO GOOD!!! All the time, God is good!❤ thank you so much for being real, even when it also makes you vulnerable to those with no decency. 😊
Thank you for your sincerity & honesty. While we had not been poverty or low income, we found growing our food to be helpful, my husband is very handy and had worked on our home for 10 years, living with open gutted walls, having had to restore utilities in the home bit by bit and saving up for each piece of sheetrock a section at a time- sometimes not even enough to finish a room. I have found that in those years God was working on my soul- forcing me to find him in the everyday moments of how God presents himself to us, removing all distractions so I could grow in the ways he wanted me to without materialism. Its given me a deeper ability to have gratitude for the things I do have- but to know that God is my provider & joy despite not having what the world would consider valuable. The turn around moment was when I dedicated our home to ministry - asking God for my home to be used in Ministry as it was becoming more finished/ complete. He defiantly accepted that offer as our circumstances improved and I can say many beautiful souls entered our lives as we opened our home to friends/ family in need and he allowed it to serve as a safe space for many. Its a certain reminder that we can give God our little bits and he can turn beauty from ashes. Stay encouraged God bless you.
Living with 1 income is not an easy task in expensive South Florida as a mom, wife, and full-time remote worker. I had the ability to homeschool my son during the pandemic and also learned how many Food allergies I have which makes it harder when cooking for myself and family. Thank you for this video!
You are so amazing! I love how positive you are in spite of all the hardship you have gone through. I love your Style. Your House Looks so lovely City and inviting. All your Videos are so inspiring and helpfull. My husband and I allready live very frugal but still can't seem to purt money to the side. Our oven and and stove are only part working and er can't afford to replave themat the moment. In spite of this I find that we are more content with the little we have compared to people that can afford anything they like. Thank you for sharei g all your wisdom ❤ May God bless you and your family ❤ Shalom from Austria, Europe 🏞️
Our son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes last November. It definitely increased our grocery bill because he needs alot more proteins and i buy a special keto bread and wraps for him. Haven't gotten those down yet lol
We have a very similar stove! Also a Z-line, it's just the range but has 6 burners and I LOVE it. We have 10 kids and need a big stove. When we did our kitchen "refresh" my biggest priority was a good stove, and good oven. Worth every penny! We ordered ours from Home Depot and it was $1200 - definitely not $20k but still a splurge for our little budget. Again, worth every penny though.
YES i would love to hear more about frugal living. These days are hard...love you're honesty. You're husband sounds like a wonderful husband and father to work as hard as he does away from the home and you working SO hard at the home with ALL THE MANY JOBS YOU HAVE AS A WIFE MOTHER TEACHER NURSE FARMER...Sounds like you both compliment each other. LOVE THE BIBLE SCRIPTURES ALSO!! THANK YOU🎉
Your videos always bring me joy and encouragement my sweet friend ❤️ thank you for sharing your heart. Thank you for sharing about the loss of your baby. I have hope that things will be okay and that the Lord had a purpose in all the hard things we go through. I’ve had my 4th loss this week. Lost my son at 17weeks in June and this last week another surprise baby went to Jesus at 6weeks. So hard but all my angels are with Jesus. Thank you for all you do.
You just reminded me that I need to make an appointment for the allergist for one of my sons who has food allergies (it has been three years since his last visit and I was told to come back in three years. . so thanks)! What is your child allergic to? Mine is allergic to all tree nuts, peanuts, and sesame seeds. He also may be allergic to certain fruits. Your stove is amazing. There was a stove here when we moved here (which we rent a two family house upstairs apartment), but when it broke a few years ago, my landlord replaced it! It definitely doesn't look like yours at all, nor as high beautiful quality, but it is so nice to me. I am glad you were able to get a good one when you did!!
Yes doing a lot more from scratch is a sacrifice if you are used to having a lot of free time and/or convenience in your life. I learned some of it in my 20's, got a lot better in my 30's with children and homeschooling. I am still learning even in my 50's!
Your tips are for everyone, not just for low income. Thank you, thank you for this video! I want to definitely cut back and be more mindful on our spending ❤ pray for me as I keep trying to learn to make sourdough. It's testing my patience 😤
Praise God! Thank you for being so open about your journey with your family. It helped me embrace, have hope through some similar experiences. This has helped encourage me. Thank you!
You're amazing ❤God bless you. Regardless of what the diagnosis for the allergy is, may God help your son to outgrow it and above all thanks to God it's not severe ❤
After reading some of these comments, I thought this might be a helpful tip from a plumber’s wife. If you live in a smallish, historic town, you might consider asking local contractors to please let you know if they run into anything worthwhile (that the owner isn’t interested in keeping). And let them know you’re willing to wait. You’d probably be surprised what many people discard and replace with new (and inferior).
I appreciate your realness! May the Almighty heal your son of his allergies. We were gluten free, dairy free, and egg free before Almighty so mercifully healed our family!
We are a low income family of 7. My kids have several different food allergies (gluten, nuts, but not dairy!) and I make almost everything from scratch. I would love your gluten free flour recipe and bread recipe. We just haven't found a good one. We don't eat bread, which has been fine, but an affordable gluten free dough would open up so many more meal possibilities!
Hey, I'm a relatively new subscriber but have been binge watching you when I can. I think maybe low income is a different thing in Britain or property buying is very different. I always thought we were doing ok as a family but from what I see from you're videos we/I must be living in poverty. This is no insult or annoyance on your channel but really opened my eyes to how different countries live.
Goodness! We saved for years to redo our kitchen and purchase a new stove. I have the same Aline as you and not happy with the oven at all! They have come out and replaced the thermometer but says it works fine but it does not! It takes so long to bake anything in there. I even purchased the extended warranty. I finally gave up with them. It makes me so angry that I paid so much for something that doesn’t work correctly
More of these please! After 25 yrs of marriage I'm now divorced and living in poverty. I have the hot plate and toaster oven, as well as a crockpot. But no oven. My home is literally falling down but my son and I repair it as we can. We have gone to bed hungry but thankfully I now get food stamps. I'm disabled but am having trouble getting any help. But God provides! ( I don't know if you remember me.. I'm the mom of 7 I homeschooled abd am now homeschooling my 8 grandkids.)
You are truly an inspiration! I’d love to buy your Christmas menu planner but the link says “Site can’t provide a secure connection.” I tapped on one of your other links and it gave the same message.
Thank you so much! It was doing the same for me, I just had my web person look into it. She made a couple updates, maybe try again? So sorry about that!
I'm believe in the saying out of sight, out of mind: don't look online, or follow people online, or even go to the shops (without planning what you want to get), because it often creates this desire to have and spend unnecessarily
I must say you keep things simple when you are vegan and gluten-free this is something I have learned but I must say I have definitely not mastered how to make gluten-free bread and have it come out good if you have mastered the gluten-free bread making in time please absolutely share that with me and put a video app on it because that stuff is very expensive so I actually just make red lentil wraps by scratch and kenwa wraps they're only 2 ingredients but I do Miss A good loaf of bread thank you And I wish you the best you are a beautiful blessing to all of us
I personally just try to work around no bread rather than the effort of gluten free. I just got fed up with gluten free options, it's like eating cardboard and is expensive. It helps me health wise too as it has lowered my carb intake.
When I try to follow the links to your shop, I get an error message that says something along the lines of "a secure connection can't be provided error ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR". I tried on 2 different devices, same message.
Every appliance in my house was free or used!! Garage sales, estate sales, marketplace!! Be content with what you have and pray for what you want!! Consignment life is really wonderful. I used to have lots of money and lots of new things and my life was totally empty without Jesus. Lost all of our money and possessions but gained the world meeting Jesus!! Now the secondhand life is the life for me!!
Thank you!! I am a single mom of 6 living on only the income that I bring in, and I can't even express how helpful this was. My suggestion is to start slow. Add something healthy to one recipe or replace one ingredient in your pantry. Taste buds need to adapt. Don't give up!
I feel like this about the massive TV in our house that I hate but everyone else loves 😂

Wow, you are amazing. You do so well. I'm grateful for your ability to do and manage so much. Thank you
You are so welcome, thank you for watching!
I love your wisdom and authenticity! Thank you for all your great tips.

Thank you for sharing❤ Would you mind if I asked how much your Family lives on per month?
I love the christian music in your videos
After reading some of these comments, I thought this might be a helpful tip from a plumber’s wife. If you live in a smallish, historic town, you might consider asking local contractors to please let you know if they run into anything worthwhile (that the owner isn’t interested in keeping). And let them know you’re willing to wait. You’d probably be surprised what many people discard and replace with new (and inferior).
Excited to watch!!
Have a wonderful week 😊
Thank you so much for your advice.
Plus, I downloaded your December meal plan and it is really well made and useful ❤
Yes love this! Give us more! Thanks for sharing!
Yes, I would love more of this!

Still no luck opening the link. What is the web address? I’ll type it in manually.

I am not gf, but I love how cheap our plant based diet is!
I personally just try to work around no bread rather than the effort of gluten free. I just got fed up with gluten free options, it's like eating cardboard and is expensive.
It helps me health wise too as it has lowered my carb intake.
Great video!
Try putting your spring rolls in the air fryer. So so good!

Thanks!
