I'm 44, not young but not really old yet and I'm telling you, just in my 44 years the decline in the quality of things has been shocking to me. Everything is mostly either plastic pieces of garbage or plastic, fake fibers now. In the past, a lot of products had lifetime guarantees- the quality was that good!
Same! I remember vividly standing in my apartment in the year 2000 telling my then newlywed husband that the new jeans I bought had stretch in them and I couldn't believe that was ok, because they made me sweat and felt plasticky and looked weird by the end of the day. I also liked shopping at Express and they had decent clothing, but then we moved to Buffalo NY for med school and I got a part time job there and I noticed in just a short several years their clothing became crap. The cotton was thinner, the buttons broke in half. But the prices went up. This was during the 2007 housing crisis. 😏
63 year old catholic mama and grandma. You are doing exactly how I did things. I’m so excited that younger people are doing this. I was a designer wannabe and took interior design college classes. That did help my creativity. You are doing a great job. Keep up the good work in helping mamas out there. Raising children and making a beautiful home is one of the most important things in the world. It’s the foundation of society.
My husband is making 62k a year and we have 5 kids. Our home and cars are paid off. I don't know how we would survive with a mortgage in this economy. We have thrifted for our 10 years of marriage and parenthood. Its always been a blessing to find what you need!
This video is amazing, I love your explanation of these pieces! And taking the scenic route with getting your house to be this beautiful little cozy treasure trove is exactly how I'm operating as I my husband and I just got our first house as well 🥰 So much fun, God bless you and your family my dear. Merry Christmas
Treasure those trips with your mom and grandmother! I lost my grandmother years ago and my Mom in May. She and I went to many thrift stores and yard sales. I miss those days so much! Don't take the time with them for granted... enjoy! ❤️
This antique style is SO cool and so unique and like u said so quality yet truly affordable! You definitely have inspired me to change my perspective on antiques and thrifting. Thank you for sharing 😊
I love this! Family of 8 living off 60k a year here in NY! I stay home with the kids and homeschool and my husband works. I hate when people insist that it’s impossible to live on one income today. When we started out 13 years ago my husband only made $15 an hour and we lived in a single wide trailer. If there’s a will there’s a way! Our hobbies are all things that “pay us back” I like to say. We garden, farm to raise our meat, eggs, dairy, make maple syrup, soap. We don’t generate money off those things but they pay us in food. My husband has learned to do all of our repairs on the house and the vehicles just from you tube and the courage to try. I make our house, wardrobe, farm, gifts, etc from garage sale finds and Craigslist and it’s great. Things aren’t picture perfect but it’s fun and exciting when you find a perfect item you’ve been searching for!
I’m proud of you !!! I wish more families would see the value in staying home and raising your own kids !!! I pray you have the opportunity to mentor others on your way of life 🙏 Blessings
God bless you and your family. My husband and I are ranchers in our 70s. The lifestyle is not easy, but we are happy and healthy. When we go to bed at night, we're a happy tired, from being active outside. I was a psych nurse for many years before retiring to be a fulltime ranch wife. Best decision ever! Nature and physical work contribute to contentment and clarity.
My mom was so incredible at thrifting, she decorated our whole home using Craigslist before FB marketplace ever existed. She passed away when I was 16 and so many of the memories of her have been lost in places in my mind that are too painful to go to. So thankful you for this video because it brought me back to some of those cherished times. Seeing you mother your children, cook & care for your home is so helpful as I don’t have a mother to learn from anymore. I also started RCIA a few months ago after watching your video on Catholicism, it was the first I ever watched after being in the Protestant world my whole life & I can’t even express the joy that’s come back into my life since finding my true church home. It’s also given me Mary too, and I feel like I have a mom again for the first time in 8 years. Thank you for your videos!! They have helped me so much 🤍🫶🏼 and congrats on your new antique finds! (also, I started making bread and baking because of you - it’s so much fun!!)
Thank you for sharing your stories about your precious Mother! I lost my Mother when I was 15 so, I understand the grief and pain. Sending prayers and love to you, friend. Your Mother sounds awesome!❤❤❤
New here! I just ran across this video & decided to watch because i absolutely love to go thrifting, antiquing, yard sales, flea markets.. anywhere i can find good, used, old pieces! Those pieces that last practically forever, built to last a lifetime! Things these days have to be replaced ever 5-10yrs, they just aren't built the same! Besides old things.. primitive, antiques, old vintage, Victorian/regency, French country.. they all have my heart!😊 I love the vanity trays, i found an oval one back in the spring. I love anything, large or small, old & made of wood! The second piece Is a letter/mail holder. I had one made of bamboo & wicker for years. Love the last supper piece. Oh my.. the wood sconce is beautiful! I love picking up sconces made of any material! I have them all around my home.😊 I always wonder what it would be like to live in the Victorian days! Things were gorgeous! My grandma & my old granny, both have long passed, but they were both born in the 1800’s. My mom passed 6yrs ago next month & she had just turned 90. Believe me I've heard so many amazing stories of their lives & how things used to be. My old granny still had an outhouse, no inside toilet, & heated by huge fireplaces! Her house was amazing & i loved spending time with her there! So many amazing antiques!! I don't use box store frames anymore. I only use older ones i find thrifting or antiquing. And I love the ornate frames! The black & gold frame is beautiful & has one of my fav Victorian art pieces! Blue Boy.. please if you love antiques you have to keep him! He's like A staple in antique or Victorian art! There's A female that goes with him called "Pinky" I have a large set of them. Victorian art is my fav to collect! My MIL inherited quite a few pieces when her MIL passed, she had a house full really old art. My MIL don't care for old things or that type art. She has them boxed up in her storage shed, so she's giving them all to me & I'm super excited! We're going up next week for Thanksgiving to spend some time with her & I'll bring them back with me!😁 Baby boy is so handsome! The larger piece is really pretty. Those little trinket pieces are brass! I always pick up brass pieces! I have quite a collection of all sorts of brass pieces! I love gallery walls! I had a couple in my home back in Tennessee. We've recently moved to Florida & are looking for a house here, in the meantime we're staying with my son & his wife. I'll be Soooo glad to get into my own home & get all my things from storage & start decorating & thrifting again! I've gotten A few things but I just don't have room to store things here.🫤 Ohhh my goodness!!😮 The hutch is stunning!! The details are amazing! Love the skeleton key too! I love it!❤ I have an 1850’s stepback cupboard, which is not a fancy piece, just a old chippy cupboard.. but its solid as a rock! I love that thing! I really want a Hoosier, like really bad! But I think my next piece will most likely be a hutch. I want to remove the glass if it has any & put chicken wire in. I also want a roll top desk. And i hope to get another cupboard like the one my grandma had. Of course there's many pieces I want!😄 Who knows, i may have them all one day! I'll be honest.. everything in my home, or 85% of it, I'd used it second hand! The may be A few things from Hobby Lobby or Walmart, but from the furniture to the decor, its thrifted Or been given to me. We had A really big thrift store for about 5yrs in Tennessee & i was fortunate to be able to get some things but we paid for alot of what i got because it supported the recovery home we had. I miss my store desperately!😕 You really preached a whole true sermon.. seriously! I said it earlier & I've said it for awhile.. everything is thrown together these days, not built to last! That why companies get rich, everyone has to keep buying! Yes, cost of living Is ridiculous in Florida! It wasn't to bad in Tennessee. But we were been & raised in NC, lived there until about 6yrs ago. Cost of living is really cheap compared to Florida & even cheaper than Tennessee. Well i totally enjoyed the video, & 100% agree with all you said! I got super chatty, there was so much to talk about!😄 I subscribed & look forward to more videos!😊 Have A blessed rest of your week & upcoming weekend!😊
I just inherited my childhood home. It is a home filled with beautiful, magical memories. I had to buy out my Sister's half of the house so I am on a strict budget. Thanks for your excitement and hints. I feel everything you taught us. It's fun to have a project that you love. Love your sense of humor too.
Hi there 👋 I live in Cornwall, UK. I have an heirloom Last Supper framed piece hung above my pantry door. My Grandmother was awarded it for schoolwork over 100 years ago as a child. I'm in my early 60s and she was born in 1898. She worked as a nurse in and around London during the Great War of 1914-1918 before marrying my Grandfather. I'm lucky enough to have several heirloom pieces that have been passed down to me which I treasure. Thank you for sharing your fabulous finds with us all xxx
I love that you took a mail holder /key holder into a rosary holder. Catholic houses always had a painting of the last supper in their kitchen or dining room. Great video
Love you’re a Catholic family and pray the Rosary! May you all receive abundance of Heavenly blessings and the protection of our Blessed Mother! Love thrifting as well with my sister and love your finds! ❤🙏🏻😊
My favorite videos! Thrifting! Antiques! Vintage treasures! I love to see people curate their homes. It just makes them personal and beautiful. Long term… no, fast and bad quality stuff that you will get tired of in a year. I’ve been thrifting my whole life… thanks to my Mama. Just like gardening… it takes patience. We will find those beautiful pieces and treasures we want in due time. (Look up the history on the blue boy. I have a blue boy piece on a brass plate.) By the way, you look wonderful. Your hair, your skin… your frame/body. You are just beaming and looking so healthy thru the camera. Just awesome. 🩷🩷
Wonderful video. I grew up in a family of antiquing, thrifting and restoration. Not only do you stay in budget, but it’s unique. Your bed at $50!! I went to auctions with my grandparents, aunts, and parents. Great memories and treasures. We were married in 1973 and the decline in quality from then to now so sad. I hope you have inspired other young people to have patience and fun exploring. Love your channel
I love that you’re saying all of this! I grew up around antiques & have many that were left to me & am so thankful for these things that were so beautifully & well built & still serving their purpose. My new passion is antique sewing machines. These things are like a classic car, they are easy to restore & sew better than any modern machine. Thank you for sharing! It’s great to see. 💕
Omg when you said “im just not in a hurry to decorate my house” I was like finally someone else who takes it slow too lol. After my divorce I had such a headache getting rid of so much stuff that wasn’t me and was basically nothing I liked style wise I decided to only purchase things I absolutely loved. And I agree, modern stuff sucks. I shop at my two local thrift stores and always find the best stuff and you’re right it’s made so much better! I’m gonna be in the lookout for one of those candle holder things, so cool! When I was a kid my two sisters and brother would play “olden days” almost every day! We even made a covered wagon once out of scaffolding that my dad used while working on our house! I definitely wanted to be Laura Ingalls Wilder!
YES! My husband does't appreciate when I thrift furniture, or really anything. I love old "grandma things", vintage stuff just has more character and last. I love it!
If you put tone of those votive candle holder where you’d put a candle then you can put a tea light in there. So much safer when little boys are around
Thrifting is so rewarding. Great video Yesterday I went thrifting and found a framed canvas of The Blessed Mother holding baby Jesus , it actually was a picture of a Christmas card I once sent out for Christmas years ago, I was always sorry I didn’t keep one for myself to frame, and there it was I paid $2.99 sometimes the thrift is so rewarding
Wonderful haul Stephanie! That piece is so gorgeous! I just went through cancer treatment and had such strong aversions coming out of it that I’ve went through every inch of my home and have gotten rid of so much “crap”. Things I hung on to because someone else gave to me and I was afraid to offend them, or things I purchased in the past that I really didn’t love. Clothes, furniture, Knick knacks. Nothing was safe! I feel so much lighter and less stressed now. I agree, save your money for quality pieces. Stay blessed! ❤
I love the cabinet! I have a feeling that you got it in Rosebud, MO. I agree with everything you said! I would rather spend the money on an antique piece that I love and know will last than buying a new item. I love watching your channel! Even though I'm 60 years old, I learn something from you every time I watch!
Oh my goodness. I love the home that you have made. It is good to know that older items still mean something to such a young person. You are so right about people needing more. Why? I am trying to get rid of a lot of things that I have accumulated. I have way too much stuff. My tiny home isn't large enough for most of it. I'll get there. God bless you and your family. ❤
I really enjoy all your videos but the thrifting and antiquing videos are my favorite!! 🤣🤣🤣 I’m ready for the apocalypse with this beautiful candle holder 🤣 that was hilarious.
Such a gorgeous piece !! I absolutely share your love of antiques! Upon purchasing our first home, I was so blessed that a woman in the community was leaving and she was giving away pieces like you just purchased for free. I ended up getting a bar buffet, China cabinet and a huge hutch. You cannot believe the dining room table, and chairs all solid wood ,,so expensive,, all the glory to God, this is stuff that I love and God gave it to me for free! I have the same exact taste you have at the same sentiment about modern times modern furniture everything I think we were both possibly born in the wrong era . Unless God really put us in this time and place, knowing that we are survivors, we are creative, and we are not going to freak out when everything collapses.
I'm still using stuff that belonged to my mom from the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s. It's still perfectly good and useful. My furniture is about 100 years old, it's still fine.
Love the rosary holder! We have one in our living room as that is where we pray at night however the toddlers get into it 😬🤪 but love that you thought of putting the prayer cards in there too…I need something for ours. Very smart!
I am so pleased that I found your channel. I have always had a passionate love affair for the more ornate beautiful creations of years gone by. It just makes more sense to me, to save and house beloved items that were treasured by families, instead of buying the cheaper made/but more expensive items of furniture., these days they are made with such toxic products, even the scent that comes off these items, is not good for one's health. I absolutely love the gorgeous buffet hutch...it's massive... but oh my gosh...so very beautiful 😍 Have yourself wonderful weekend. 💐
I'm totally your thrifting, cooking and the complete love for your family. When I was younger and healthier, thrifting was my passion. My children totally loved it also.Sadly, since I am not able to go anylonger, the grown children don't go any longer. I miss it.
I have several pieces in my home that are thrift/ fb market placed. Including all of my canning supplies and jars. according to my husband, my obsession is finding the best deal on it. Example I was looking for the pasta rollers for my kitchen aid. I found them and paid 70 but the guy had other items that were for that I took all of it and cleaned it up and posted it and made a little thus getting it for free. 😊 I also thrift my kids cloths because they grow to fast at this point to constantly buy new. All that to say thank you for showing your hulls and that we Can find stuff that fits our own styles. It is a beautiful piece.
I loved your video! I’m a 74 year old woman and this is exactly how I have created my home. I learned it from my mother as I went to second hand stores with her. Your new piece is stunning and will look wonderful against a wallpapered background. ❤
Love your thrift haul! My mother always thrifted. I never understood the fascination with it until the last few years. Now I love looking for treasures and have to pace myself! ❤️
You did well! I'm in agreement. I love the quality of older furniture and I treasure the pieces that I inherited from my grandparents. Enjoy the thrifting! ❤
What I found crazy is the development of your son! 😮 He is just 7 months old and has the skill of 1± year old! That's amazing. My daughter is a month older and just last month started kind crawling!
Oh I love all your thrift purchses they are fantastic. I lvoe the old style nd antique furniture and picture frames etc they are so nice. Love what you have done with your home
I use to think like you, but now that my kids are grown and I have grand kids, I lean more towards less things and more family. A house fire also opened my eyes, I had many thrifted pieces I refinished and eather sold or keps for myself, but it was the little things I remeber ( and my kids remember ) the most. Thrifting with the family being one of the biggest things we remember, not really the idems we bought. I love the piece don't get me wrong I thin its beautiful ❤
Many of the candles and oil lamps hung in holders on the wall. I have several of the cast iron holders that hung on the wall. The candle holders had a dessert plate sized shield on the back to help reflect the light and to keep from setting the wall on fire.
I LOVE your thrift finds!!!🎉 I have been decorating my house Chic/boho the last 8 years, which I still love, but I have been really missing older stuff. Dark and medium brown furniture, cabinets, stuff from my childhood. 41yrs here. So yeah, 80s 90s child, but mom decorated vintage. I miss it.
Hi, I’m a new subscriber. Your home is beautiful. I too love vintage things. I have a funny story when you were talking about candles there used to be white candles and when you lit them, you got different colors of wax that would drip down and I was about 12 years old and I leaned forward and the front of my haircut caught fire and my mom was hitting me on the head with newspaper. I Ithought I was in big trouble. The my hair finally did grow back without my scalp getting burnt so that was good, but I was teased a lot in school lol
You can use that candle holder that has beautiful craftsmanship to lit a candle of an antique picture of the sacred heart(s). Its beautiful. Love seeing all your videos!! I dream of the day I can make bread. Also, very proud to see a traditional catholic and may God bless you and your family.
My first time here. We are so much alike. I little by little got rid of new things, ikea etc and replaced with antique pieces. I loved everything you thrifted🥰
Don't be surprised if our wish may be granted in your lifetime. We are just finishing up a sustainable house, on our little homestead in East TN. No power; no problem.
I loved watching your video. I'm also trying to slowly replace all my modern furniture with classic quality pieces that have character. Eventually, I want the entire house to be thrifted (or family heirlooms). SO much better than new. 😁
Love ❤️ ur home, you have great taste 😊. I really love thrifting but home too small now for many things. Thanks for sharing this interesting video 😊❤👍🏼
You’re not alone in wishing that we lived in a simple time. We bought a home built in 1757. I thrift and antique to fill my home with 18th century furniture. When the feeling strikes, we cook in a the fireplace. I have candles everywhere, and love to use them instead of the harsh lighting of LED lights we are forced to buy now. Kids in those days respected lit candles and yes, some houses did burn down, or skirts were lit on fire. We can live in a simpler time, by taking out the modern junk of today and bringing in the well made, warm wood. Nice job!
So right about LEDs. Light affects the body, even brain biochemistry. I found a source for full spectrum incandescent bulbs so effective they got a waiver as "medical devices" from that law that stopped regular bulb sales while pushing harsh, cold fast flicker LEDs. These were developed in Finland to deal with their far north very short days. Made with the element neodymium, which gives a slight purple effect when the bulb's off. I put two in and the animals right off claimed, "Mine!" They'll get within several inches of even the 150 watt, relax, mellow out. In humans same, noticed stuff didn't bug me as much, slept better. Not even kidding, we deserve same as far north Europe the luxury of good mental state, easier sleep,, free of eyestrain, accurate color for working with fabric or any craft. Glad 2c the growing backlash to this whole carbon footprint 👣 "Sheeple 🐑 🐏, eat ze bugs! You will own nothing and be happy" fluff. My younger friends in 20s - early 40s are holding out for the "old ways", solid wood, local veg even growing backyard, they bot me into sourdough. Then, you Google "Blue Zones", the long lived healthy people all eat whole, local food, raise gardens, have a close-knit community that keeps you close and involved as you age. This got longer than meant, just so enthused to find what works. And following younger people back to what works, good for 🇺🇸 future. They produce heat, so use a lampshade farther from bulb and yes less efficient so costs slightly more to run. The way local raw honey, ripe organic fruit, sourdough bread ❤ cost more than a Twinkle. In the U.S. Google chromalux.
You can choose to have periods where you live without electricity when the sun goes down. It takes some advanced planning, but it can be calming. Dinner and early baths, reading by candle light, early bedtime.
I'm a Filipina and I can confirm this. I think most, if not all Filipino homes has a Last Supper frame/painting close to the dinning area or the kitchen. We got ours when my then bf (now husband) was shopping for some souvenirs to give away for our wedding almost 8 years ago.
Omg, I laughed with you many times during this video, starting with waiting to go back to the pioneer days! ....it may still happen,we will be ready! Lol!
Stephanie, you inspired me to paint some kitchen cabinets green 😅 I also recently thrifted a beautiful china cabinet for $80. It’s so much better than anything I could have bought brand new.
My husband is amazing and built me a custom dresser and bed for us out of tiger wood. The wood itself was expensive but we never would have been able to afford it if we had bought it from a furniture place already made. And the quality is so solid and the dresser is stunning. I expect they will be around long after my death And I'm a young person. ❤
I realize its not the same as real. However I do use battery operated candles in.our home.I love the look.and.feel and don't want to burn our home down. Happy Holidays and.love from.Missouri
For not burning down the house with oil lamps, things were put up high (ceilings were higher). Glass chimneys, shades and reflective metals protected the flames and I think in general kids were just more disciplined. People also used to live by daylight more than we do today.
So FOUR generations of women went thrifting together..... That's wealth and riches right there ❤❤❤
I'm 44, not young but not really old yet and I'm telling you, just in my 44 years the decline in the quality of things has been shocking to me. Everything is mostly either plastic pieces of garbage or plastic, fake fibers now. In the past, a lot of products had lifetime guarantees- the quality was that good!
Agree!
It is almost unbelievable how fake everything is! I tell my husband all the time that I feel like I'm living in a model world, staged for viewing

Keep blue boy. It is a classic piece of art

I'm so sorry i wrote a complete book!🫣 but again i enjoyed, there was so much to talk about!😊
Rosaries!!!! Yes!
Love when I find great Catholic families I can follow! God bless you guys.
I love finding vintage religious art.
Great video
I love that you have 4 generations of ladies that have a shared love for thrifting! ❤
Yes , that is a blessing isn't it.❤
Better times are coming. All your treasures are beautiful.
Love you’re a Catholic family and pray the Rosary! May you all receive abundance of Heavenly blessings and the protection of our Blessed Mother! Love thrifting as well with my sister and love your finds! ❤🙏🏻😊
Jesus is our savior, all praise and Glory to him 🙏
@@rnupnorthbrrrsm6123All praise and glory to our Father. 🙏❤
I have a blue boy piece on a brass plate.)
By the way, you look wonderful.
That cabinet is gorgeous! Youre right on todays stuff, I work at Homegoods & never see anything of quality.
YES! My husband does't appreciate when I thrift furniture, or really anything. I love old "grandma things", vintage stuff just has more character and last. I love it!
Antique furniture is expensive but they need to see the -investment-
If you put tone of those votive candle holder where you’d put a candle then you can put a tea light in there. So much safer when little boys are around
Thrifting is so rewarding. Great video
Yesterday I went thrifting and found a framed canvas of The Blessed Mother holding baby Jesus , it actually was a picture of a Christmas card I once sent out for Christmas years ago, I was always sorry I didn’t keep one for myself to frame, and there it was I paid $2.99 sometimes the thrift is so rewarding
I’m excited to sip my coffee and watch while the baby is still sleeping 😄🤞🏼 Love your thrift hauls!
Love all the “new” stuff. You are definitely my cup of tea. I always enjoy your videos. I feel like I’m hanging out with my kind of friend.
You are Real and authentic and that’s just beautiful!! ❤
thankyou for inculeding your family. I watch one homestead who has a child but never even talks about them
Could just be protecting them ❤
@ it’s ok but they don’t even talk about them like they don’t have a child
Acre homestead huh? She acts like they don't exist at all I find it odd. I get child privacy but it's kinda weird. Love her videos though.
@@noellecasey yes
i use battery operated tapered candles in our scones! they come on when it gets dark :)
I agree so much with living with in your means . It’s frustrating when people always talk about being broke , but are constantly buying things!!
Your video is so REAL! I have five kids too and am amazed at how clean your house is. Great job keeping it real
I love the cabinet! I have a feeling that you got it in Rosebud, MO. I agree with everything you said! I would rather spend the money on an antique piece that I love and know will last than buying a new item. I love watching your channel! Even though I'm 60 years old, I learn something from you every time I watch!
I’m not far from Rosebud and was thinking the same! I’m wanting to go thrifting now lol
Those little denim overalls are the cutest!
Colonial love with a Sub Zero refrigerator in the background! 🤣😂
Very smart!
I cried when you said you were getting rid of your barn door. I absolutely love it ❤
Gorgeous piece of new furniture! Love all your finds.
That cabinet is remarkably Stunning! I think I gasped when you first showed it. So very beautiful and Unique. You got lucky with that one!!
I absolutely love the gorgeous buffet hutch...it's massive... but oh my gosh...so very beautiful 😍
Have yourself wonderful weekend.
Your house looks huge you can certainly fit all your thrift items in it. The hutch is beautiful.
My mom had one of the letter boxes when I was a kid. She called it a worry box. It was where she kept all the bills as they came in.
Yes! That wood cabinet is REMARKABLE!
Your baby and toddler with their matching outfits!!! So cute!
Much love and lots of prayers for you and your family
Many of the candles and oil lamps hung in holders on the wall. I have several of the cast iron holders that hung on the wall. The candle holders had a dessert plate sized shield on the back to help reflect the light and to keep from setting the wall on fire.
That one item with the key hooks is a vintage mail slot. Love it.
I miss it.
I love all the beautiful things u found! That cabinet is awesome!!!
We do Memoria Press art cards for our homeschool. We learned that Thomas Gainsborough painted the boy in the blue suit. Great finds 🤩.
I love the treasures! You crack me up! Bless you and yours
Your home is beautiful!
Beautiful piece!!! Such a beautiful home you have ❤❤❤
I love your new cabinet! BEAUTIFUL!! I also love to thrift and make my house unique and beautiful. Thrifting is the way to go!
What a great find!! I love the hutch you bought. It's gorgeous.
It's a beautiful piece. You are right things are not made to last by design. I love to thrift and to antique.
What a beautiful haul! The baby is beautiful and big!😊
Love your content and videos! Beautiful home and taste! Thank you for sharing everything! Loved how you touched on the rosaries too! 😊
Oh my gosh I call them Treasures too!! ❤
Wow! So pretty. Love the piece at your front door also.
My first time here. We are so much alike. I little by little got rid of new things, ikea etc and replaced with antique pieces. I loved everything you thrifted🥰
You are an inspiration love your energy. The armoire by the candle holder is also beautiful 😍
I love your glasses is there a link for them?
Battery operated candle would work well in your wall sconce
OMG, I love that new piece of furniture, it's gorgeous! All the goodies you found, so awesome, you lucky shopper 😁
Love your tongue in cheek humour, when commenting about apocalypse" all referencing modern to pioneer times!!😂
Oh this video !! I Really Agree with ALL that you said & a very Grand find for you Indeed!! Enjoy
Don't be surprised if our wish may be granted in your lifetime. We are just finishing up a sustainable house, on our little homestead in East TN. No power; no problem.
Beautiful Antique Cabinet , thanks for sharing .
I think that carving on your new piece is a “green man”. Really cool motif to research!
If you haven’t found a spot for the last supper frame, Filipinos always put it in the kitchen / close to the table where everyone eats :)
I'm a Filipina and I can confirm this. I think most, if not all Filipino homes has a Last Supper frame/painting close to the dinning area or the kitchen. We got ours when my then bf (now husband) was shopping for some souvenirs to give away for our wedding almost 8 years ago.
What an amazing piece of furniture! Lovely find! 🌻🍁🌻
Omg, I laughed with you many times during this video, starting with waiting to go back to the pioneer days! ....it may still happen,we will be ready! Lol!
Love the hutch it’s beautiful
Stephanie, you inspired me to paint some kitchen cabinets green 😅 I also recently thrifted a beautiful china cabinet for $80. It’s so much better than anything I could have bought brand new.
Love love love the rosaries!!!
😊👍👋 don't know if someone has already told you but those brass boxes are called cricket boxes. Notice the air holes.
For not burning down the house with oil lamps, things were put up high (ceilings were higher). Glass chimneys, shades and reflective metals protected the flames and I think in general kids were just more disciplined. People also used to live by daylight more than we do today.
Such great points! I'd love to get back to honoring daytime hours for work and night for rest more
