Recently bought one. I'm a hiphop producer (with a slight addiction to bluetooth speakers) and honestly.. it blew my mind. Stereo image is amazing for the size, i matched the sound profile to my studio monitors as close as i could with a custom eq in the soundcore app and boy it sounds so well balanced now. I compared it to my JBL charge 5. I'm gonna ditch that one 😂 the first problem with the JBL for me is that it's only a mono speaker and while the bass is deeper and tighter with the charge 5 (have to give them that), the motion + instrument seperation is just on another level. And don't get me wrong, bass is not bad at all on the soundcore. I would say its somewhere in between the UE megaboom and the JBL charge 5 in that regard. Aptx support is also great to have. Out of the box the soundcore Motion + sounds fine, but very mid focused.. but you can get so much more out of it with custom eq and the great thing is, it saves your last eq preset to the speaker itself, so if someone else connects to it, it will sound the same. Amazing speaker for a great price. Well done Soundcore. This one will be hard to beat 👏
@@neraex5464 appears to be that every speaker has a slightly different character so it's best to carefully tune it yourself. The way i usually do it; listen to a couple songs you know well and ajust as time passes. That way you kinda fine tune it to the way you like along the way of using it 👍
Hey, a quick question for ya. You mentioned the speakers remember your last EQ settings... does that apply when you connect different types of devices through different inputs as well? If you adjusted the EQ of the speakers from the app on your phone via bluetooth, will those EQ settings remain when you connect to your PC through aux/USB-C? Or do you have to (or can you) adjust the EQ from your PC as well?
I got a couple of these on Black Friday, really impressed with the sound when they're paired up and the eq is adjusted! Hadn't even planned on using them for sound bars but I tried them last night and they work great. apt-x still has noticeable lag (tested on sennheiser cx-400), apt-x ll (low latency) or adaptive are said to have less, but I never had a device with any of these.
@@MrDJZawQ I've been using this for 4 months and at this point if there is a delay I don't even notice. I would 100% notice. I give it a 9.5 / 10 honestly.

I was looking for something like this to use for my desktop pc and tv soundbar, do you have any idea if i use it with a usb-c cable connected will it kill the battery? or does it just use the power from the cable and does not drain the battery? Great Review!! But can I ask a question ? Does this speaker has latency issue when ypu plug it in an audio jack? Because, I've heard that some soundcore speakers has a latency issue with aux jacks.

Perhaps an interference signal, who knows, but it sounds simply incredible!
i had flip 4 and now using motion +. you can just no compare these two speakers (just looking the size they are diferent category because motion + is double the size). anyway, motion + is so much better in every sound sense including the bass. after listening to motion + i can`t listen the flip4 anymore, it hurts my ears. so yeah, about the bass on motion +, sure it`s much better then the bass on flip 4 but as i`m mostly listening electronic music i made sound of motion + more to my taste and runing it on "heavy" eq settings on the soundcore app, which gives warm bassy sound. these settings are saved to speaker once you set them so you will always have them running until you change them. if you need even more bass then use the trick of placing the motion + on the ground near the wall. or maybe get the soundcore boom, which i will not because it doesnt have such a hifi sound like motion + and also missing 3,5 mm output, angled design, tweeters and aptx hd
Maybe we are approaching the point normal speakers have already been at for a long time. 20 year old speakers still sound great today. Modern cable speakers may be 30% cheaper but there hasnt been much development.
Great review, very detailed. Seems to be an excellent unit but the rubberized surface on the back half is a deal breaker for me. I've owned gadgets that had a rubberized surface. It feels nice and grippy at the beginning but after three to five years that surface begins breaking down and turns into a very sticky, gooey mess. Very difficult, if not impossible, to remove. So I'll have to stay with my Flip 4 for now.
Taking proper care and storing in a cool ,dust free environment should help mitigate the issue . I guess this is the only negative of product, but there are many other good things about speaker
There is a hiss for sure on aux, on my PC I put it 5 notches down from full volume because high volume with no audio being played is too loud of a hiss noise. Great speaker other than that.
I always wedge something under my JBL Flip 3 to angle the speakers. Works great. This Anker speaker looks nice but I need something water-resistant, or at least super durable.
yeah there is little bit hiss via aux with all units not just you ... done some videos on my unit ... this speaker has made my boxed up quarantine life so much fun even sometimes chilling on the roof all alone ... still surprise me with the high-end details and sparkly sound ... you can always embed your custom eq and save it to the speaker u forgot about the custom eq ...?
Have you tried putting the mic on the outside of you shirt to stop it from muffling inside your shirt, clip it on the outside of your shirt and in the middle of the neck part so it has no where to slide 😉 Thanks for the great video on the Soundcore motion+
(If you have not bought it yet) Just buy it, use it as a Home Stereo.... so to speak. I bought a Motion Boom Summer 2021 and I just use it as a loud Bluetooth Speaker. I got a Motion Plus yesterday (same day delivery)
Anker seriously undersells this Bluetooth speaker. They don't mention its stereo capability anywhere in their marketing material. You wouldn't know until you've tested one yourself. No matter how much material quality, EQ or processing you pour into a single mono speaker, a simple move to two channels would still give you a much better sound than any mono speaker can ever give you.
@@JSyntax Soundcore really shows us consumers that bigger names like Bose, Sony and JBL sell their logo, not their premium sound... Those brands used to play with our ignorance and wallets. I use it as a mini amp for playing guitar and it provides all of the tonal qualities that I need.
It’s been tested. It is NOT true stereo. True stereo means you can pan different sounds/instruments to one side/channel or the other and also to the center (as in the vocal track usually is in a studio recording. Yer welcome.
This is my favorite portable speaker! Last great speaker with Aux that Anker made. Their latest hi-fi speakers are great but are now missing the aux input. Boo! PS Don't even consider JBL these days. Poor build quality. Worst of the worst.
It's a superb speaker, though it I still prefer my Harman Kardon onyx mini, not quite as powerful but a nicer more open sound that never sounds like it's coming out of a box!
It's too bad when you use a pair with tv the sound have latency but not with smartphone. I found a solution for this and you conserve a beautiful stereo. You can use a bluetooth module like avantree Oasis plus or FIIO bta30 who can use two link in AptX LL, the result is not bad at all.

@@billparker7410 Not for me.... specially after rhe last update....
@@ΝικΛεων Hmm? I'd contact Soundcore to inquire about it.
Is it normal to have hiss / faint static noise that can be heard from 1 meter on quiet room?
Not really
bro 30 watts is it just the woofer or the tweeter?
I think it's for the whole thing
@@JSyntax ok thanks
It is 10w for each low/mid driver, and 5w for each tweeter, for 30w in total.
@@Norvik_-ug3gethe wattage is small
What type charger compatible for motion plus?
Usb-c
How is the bass compare to flip4? Plz iam a bass lover
Sorry I can't compare but the bass on this speaker is frigging amazing.
@@JSyntax tnkew..than iam going for it, hope i won't regret...
i had flip 4 and now using motion +. you can just no compare these two speakers (just looking the size they are diferent category because motion + is double the size). anyway, motion + is so much better in every sound sense including the bass. after listening to motion + i can`t listen the flip4 anymore, it hurts my ears. so yeah, about the bass on motion +, sure it`s much better then the bass on flip 4 but as i`m mostly listening electronic music i made sound of motion + more to my taste and runing it on "heavy" eq settings on the soundcore app, which gives warm bassy sound. these settings are saved to speaker once you set them so you will always have them running until you change them. if you need even more bass then use the trick of placing the motion + on the ground near the wall. or maybe get the soundcore boom, which i will not because it doesnt have such a hifi sound like motion + and also missing 3,5 mm output, angled design, tweeters and aptx hd
Hiss, might be due to the DAC you are using in configuration. Pretty assumable for a 15$ DAC.
Indeed
@@JSyntax No, I got the "sssss" out of the Box.
Even 3 years later, the newer speakers today from JBL and Sony are defeated by the Anker soundcore potion plus, best speaker ever for its price
Agreed.
Maybe we are approaching the point normal speakers have already been at for a long time.
20 year old speakers still sound great today. Modern cable speakers may be 30% cheaper but there hasnt been much development.
Original mode on high volumes sounds better than any other eq
Agreed
Great review, very detailed. Seems to be an excellent unit but the rubberized surface on the back half is a deal breaker for me. I've owned gadgets that had a rubberized surface. It feels nice and grippy at the beginning but after three to five years that surface begins breaking down and turns into a very sticky, gooey mess. Very difficult, if not impossible, to remove. So I'll have to stay with my Flip 4 for now.
You might try rubbing alcohol as a degreaser?
You can rub it off, I've had that happen with a device or two. But worth pointing out.
Taking proper care and storing in a cool ,dust free environment should help mitigate the issue . I guess this is the only negative of product, but there are many other good things about speaker
Try corn oil, a light film to cancel out goo.
I got the Motion Seties: (now completed)
1. Motion Boom
2. Motion Plus
Motion Boom 2 and Plus 2 (Pro?) were are you? cause I'm ready!
There is a hiss for sure on aux, on my PC I put it 5 notches down from full volume because high volume with no audio being played is too loud of a hiss noise. Great speaker other than that.
It's very annoying. Glad I'm not the only one. They need to fix.
Is this better than the Sony SRS-XB32
Yes!
The Sony 32 is a pile of garbage.
Good review
I always wedge something under my JBL Flip 3 to angle the speakers. Works great.
This Anker speaker looks nice but I need something water-resistant, or at least super durable.
It's waterproof
yeah there is little bit hiss via aux with all units not just you ... done some videos on my unit ... this speaker has made my boxed up quarantine life so much fun even sometimes chilling on the roof all alone ... still surprise me with the high-end details and sparkly sound ... you can always embed your custom eq and save it to the speaker u forgot about the custom eq ...?
Yeah man! Love it's performance
Have you tried putting the mic on the outside of you shirt to stop it from muffling inside your shirt, clip it on the outside of your shirt and in the middle of the neck part so it has no where to slide 😉
Thanks for the great video on the Soundcore motion+
I bought this because... Under budget... And *QUALCOMM APTX* audio codec!!! With insane bass
Old? I wanted to get one for summer, than the rona happened, and I am not sure if there will be a point buying it this year either =(
(If you have not bought it yet)
Just buy it, use it as a Home Stereo.... so to speak. I bought a Motion Boom Summer 2021 and I just use it as a loud Bluetooth Speaker.
I got a Motion Plus yesterday (same day delivery)
Good speaker. Even I can hear the hiss noise from tweeters when I keep it close to my ears.
Ah so I'm not crazy
On JBL GO 3 there is definitely a hiss, especially audible at a very close range when playing e.g. classical music
Motion + and Motion Boom are the best cheap speakers out there.
You should put a Custom EQ on your Motion+ using the soundcore app, the base sound is decent but you can get so much more out of it !
I absolutely love my motion plus, Beats Bose.
@@JSyntax Soundcore really shows us consumers that bigger names like Bose, Sony and JBL sell their logo, not their premium sound... Those brands used to play with our ignorance and wallets. Now unadvertised users will continue to buy them, good for them... I will not. Soundcore sell a great sound for a fair price, at least with their Motion speakers.
If you can / want you should definitely check the Motion Boom, which is basically a JBL Xtreme 3 for ~$80. It's a different beast than Motion+. Motion+ is all about clarity, Motion Boom is all about deep bass. Both are fantastic !
@@ThibautMahringer Thanks, Bro. I love it so much when you comment somewhere about Motion series. It's always informative. Btw, still use enhanced Alan Ross EQ for M+? :D
@@User-69-tq Thanks ! I am pretty informed for all speakers, I just really like what Soundcore can deliver for such low prices ! And yes I still use the updated 36.38 version of his EQ.
I also got a Tribit Maxsound Plus recently which is an awesome neutral sounding cheap speaker 😝
wanted something under $200 with low latency lag, looking at this or the bose soundlink colour 2, thoughts?
This
I have the Motion Boom and just bought the Motion Plus. I don't know maybe its just me but I felt the motion plus was well easily NOT as good as the Motion boom. It sounded so tinny and the sound felt it came out of a pepsi can. Its highly regarded but so was bad I put in back in the box in less than 2 hrs of trying it out in a ton of different EQ setting.
I am keeping my wonderful Motion Boom. Its hard to believe soundcore makes both speakers when one if great and the other is ______.
I just get this speaker 2 days ago
the sound is really great even compare with Bose Soundlink mini II
and I just use 3.5mm cable too haha
Yeah! It's too good
Checking for the "hiss". I can hear some "air" if I put the tweeter right in my ear, but not from the woofers. I've had this speaker for a long time and love it. Getting another one this year so that I can pair them and have a bigger stereo sound. I went thought a number of different speakers before I found this one but it is clearly a great speaker. I use it as a mini amp for playing guitar and it provides all of the tonal qualities that I need.
Wait, u can use this as a guitar amplifier? How? I can only see a 3.5 mm jack input
@@numerouno7874 I can use my phone or iPad with Amplitube and run the output to this speaker with a 3.5mm cord. Sounds fantastic.
It’s been tested. It is NOT true stereo. True stereo means you can pan different sounds/instruments to one side/channel or the other and also to the center (as in the vocal track usually is in a studio recording. Yer welcome.
It has true stereo, though.
Not true. Yes, it has some separation, but it’s an artificial separation. That’s not the same as true stereo.
I got that hisses on my unit. Complaint and the troubleshoot failed, they return money and asked to dispose at my convenience.. lol.
Was it bad enough to throw it away
I got a hiss on a previous speaker... It turned out it was the sound of my old phone's battery discharging. I only realised when I replaced my phone!
@@ClareW23 in my case, hisses heard right after turned on without connecting/pairing to any devices yet.
I'm so getting that speaker.
Let's go!
@@JSyntax Already ordered 4 days ago. hehe
Got the speaker today, really amazing sound for its price.
@@richiebattung3362 awesome
I think the G9 did really well. I also heard the AF on it was pretty bad, but that might just have been a camera conspiracy. ;)
Haha ty!
earfun U boom L is a match for this
It's too bad when you use a pair with tv the sound have latency but not with smartphone.
I found a solution for this and you conserve a beautiful stereo.
You can use a bluetooth module like avantree Oasis plus or FIIO bta30 who can use two link in AptX LL, the result is not bad at all.
Just use aux input!
@@JSyntax thanks, I know but I have afraid to have poor sound with auxiliaire.
I don't know the quality with aux.
@@MonsieurWolf76I can assure you that the quality with aux will be better than any Bluetooth system. Wired connection is and will be the best, rest is a compromise.
In TWS stereo they sound even better!
I bet!
Where is the sound test man?
It's very hard to accurately record audio and most ppl are watching youtube videos on their phones with poor audio quality.
I got this speaker brand new for free it's the Best Free speaker lol
How?!
@@JSyntax I ordered it online and it was delayed for weeks. So I asked for a refund and when I got it I was going to send it back but I was told I could keep trash or donate it so I was like BET I'll keep it lol
The hiss. That's the kind of stuff I want to know about. A speaker should only put out the sound you intend, imo. No more and no less.
Reminds me of the Vizio Elevate soundbar that was ranked #1 in one video, but in a user review they said you could hear it making mechanical noises as it was functioning. Imo, products should not do that.
What to say... I started with a SoundCore Boost and ended up with Motion+. There's no brand, not even bigger to very big audio system which has such a sound range like Motion+ and Motion Boom ofc. Correct me if i'm wrong. What ANKER does... honestly this speaker is even CHEAP. I mean c'mon for a €100 such a sound. They could have easily bumped up the price to 250-300€. The features which it has including the SoundCore Equalizer app is amazing! 👍👌. Overall, i have tried many, not much of them did impressed me like ANKER, i'm talking for almost every speaker from ANKER.
honestly, everyday i use my motion+ i shed a tear of joy :'( --- best sounding speakers ive used in that class.
@@JSyntax Wrong bro, not in that class, but in the sound range in general. I never did seen ot tested any other speaker which has so big range like Motion+. I have been working in a JBL warehouse and all kinds of speakers were going through my hands. Yes even the other brands! Most of the times it was so boring that we were unpacking all the ones from order returns, we had a real fun 🙃, but i can tell you, none of them (even the biggest one) had so much refined sound like ANKER. I'm not talking the watts/power output, but the raw sound itself... Which makes ANKER really really very extremely stand out 👌🏻💪🏻👍🏻. Trust me on this one.
#JSyntax I'm planning to buy one. I really want to know how to does it exactly sound like in reality comparing JBL Charge 4 🙄🙄
Sorry can't compare. But I freaking love this speaker. So Friggin happy.
Charge 4 have a better bass, but is lacking in clarity in mids and highs, Motion + shines in clarity !
Alan Ross makes good comparisons
and we dont hear it,thx
You should pair two of them. i use it as a soundbar it sound amazing, very clear and plenty of bass. It saved me buying a sound bar... great video
Wow! Is there any lag tho?
@@JSyntax i have used it with bluetooth on tv's without a problem. But it will lag if you use the oux cord and pair them. The sound just gets better when you pair them. Very detailed hifi sound for watching movies even gaming
Forgot to mention it has the app and if you costume equalize it the sound just sharpens more, way betfer then the preset settings
@@alvarogutierrez1626 yeah, I like the default sound profile. It's already sharpened so much so not sure if I need to tweak the highs more?
@@JSyntax i usue it to turn in up or down it depends on what im listening to.
You don't even play the sound to show how good it is
It's impossible through the UA-cam algorithm and compression
13:43 I love that. Do you love me? 😍💋 💝💖❤️
