To think how disturbing the highwayman would look to most people in the wasteland. Imagine you grew up in the wasteland. You know what cars were, but you've only ever seen wrecks of them or as barely functional artifacts. If you saw one actually running, speeding past or god forbid right towards you, you'd shit yourself.
Nice...Fallout 2...been a while since I played :) ps: Take that you "There's no working cars in Fallout" or "Fallout shouldn't have vehicles" nay-sayers! Frankly this is what is IMHO missing in the newer games, they should allow for vehicles...hell, if it is based on the coast, then give the player a regular vehicle but also an upgradeable boat (or hell, several, so you can purchase or aquire new boats and vehicles...hell, my favourite idea so far for the next game would be: Set it on Hawaii and give the player the option to repair a ship in Pearl Harbor...a military ship of course!) :)
You probably should have mentioned that if you do the Klamath quests before heading to the Den, you *DON'T NEED TO* return to Klamath for the Fuel Cell Regulator. Also (just as a hint), you can leave excess "stuff" in the car even before you repair/buy it ... so you can collect more valuable surplus from random encounters as you travel rather than having to either use Outdoorsman to avoid encounters or leaving stuff behind due to carrying capacity limitations. Finally, the order in which you recommend people gather the needed items is, quite frankly, *IDIOTIC.* You should go to Vault City first, deal with Valerie, accept the recon mission from Citizen Sergeant Stark (and the mission from Lynette), do that, enter Gecko from the wilderness, get the "quest" from Skeeter, return *IMMEDIATELY* to Vault City after determining what you can do to help Gecko and Vault City with Lynette's mission. Then you can return to Gecko and take care of all of this nonsense at once. Treating them as completely disassociated quests is a *FRIKKIN' HUGE* time waster. Then you get to go back to the Den and take care of *BOTH* the Fuel Cell Controller and the Regulator simultaneously. Again, doing it as you've instructed is a *HUGE* time waster. Kindly keep these things in mind in future.
There's a method here, seems like yours is just different. Good call on the trunk though! This guide is specifically about finding the car, getting it working, charging it, and getting its 3 upgrades in that order. Your suggested order would be: upgrade, trunk trick, tools, sidequest in VC & Gecko, toolkit, car location, charging, upgrade, upgrade. Granted your way is likely more efficient, but an unacceptable mess of subject order in my mind. This guide is not about power questing between Gecko and Vault City. Speaking to Lynette and Stark doesn't even pertain to getting the car at all, so I've no need to include them. I designed this guide for new players first and foremost, and I like leaving discovery intact without spoiling more than I need to. This comment reminded me to put in chapter points, so next time you need a refresher, you can use those instead if you're in a hurry.
Well that's one thing Fallout has over Fallout 3 and 4. I would imagine a car like this would have so much potential when it comes to those pesky micro transactions. by that I mean visual customization.
Why are you playing Fallout 2 without Killap's Restoration Mod? Countless quests, locations, items and dialogue was restored. Even the highwayman had 5 or 6 uogrades in the restored version.
welp i royaly screwed up my game: -Killed smithy the moment i got to interact with him, didn't let me stole his stuff so that was the outcome -ended up killing all the ghouls in reactor 5 thus making them run away from gecko so the ghouls that can get me the part i need is no longer there i have the fuel regulator on me but seems like im gonna have to walk for the rest of the game

Imagine you grew up in the wasteland. You know what cars were, but you've only ever seen wrecks of them or as barely functional artifacts. If you saw one actually running, speeding past or god forbid right towards you, you'd shit yourself.
Never played but interessing recomendation
I didn't know that I could charge with the small energy cell lol
...i already knew all that 🤔
Wasnt sure if there were more upgrades though. Guess not.
Wow I didnt know about this kid and wrench :)
man, this is so fascinating
2000 caps to restore the engin, and don't forget to use code S7
Damnit, i killed the chop shop gang before i knew about this. Now im suffering from lack of storage space. I needed revenge, not a negotiation 😂
Hey Caedo how much of your character build guide applies to fallout 2? You should put together some builds for fallout 2
Nearly all of it actually, the only major change between the first two games is Charisma affecting party capacity
Awww yisss quality content.
Nice...Fallout 2...been a while since I played :)
ps: Take that you "There's no working cars in Fallout" or "Fallout shouldn't have vehicles" nay-sayers!
Kyle Soler >one thing fallout has over fallout 3 and 4.
Yeah just that one thing bud
@@rexma4693 Hence why I said one thing, I have never played any of the early Fallout games but my mum has.
@@kylesoler4139 lmao lame.....
@@kylesoler4139 imagine your mom being cooler than you lmao
Would you like to encounter a group highwayman? Nah the video is only just getting started.
Thank you so much
No price is too steep when you steal back the cash after purchase 😏
Yeah I bought the location of Vault 13 from that doctor guy, then immediately stole it back. I do that on evey playthrough now. Its great
Vroooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom
I always kill skeeter for his car part. Saves a lot of time.
Why are you playing Fallout 2 without Killap's Restoration Mod? Countless quests, locations, items and dialogue was restored.
Even the highwayman had 5 or 6 uogrades in the restored version.
So is it best to get the car at a later time in the game when u can find/buy the stuff u need to fuel the car?
I blew up gecko does that prevent me from getting the highwaymen?
Dan Bellucci yes.
@@ChrisGeden you monster
welp i royaly screwed up my game:
-Killed smithy the moment i got to interact with him, didn't let me stole his stuff so that was the outcome
-ended up killing all the ghouls in reactor 5 thus making them run away from gecko so the ghouls that can get me the part i need is no longer there
i have the fuel regulator on me but seems like im gonna have to walk for the rest of the game
Hold up fallout 2 has a car!!
Yes
So helpful thank you
If you can reply to this, there’s conviently a tool in a locker next to smitty, maybe you can add it to the comment or something
SMH, I catch myself not watching Fallout 2 videos for the fun of it but to make dam sure their accurate...probably not healthy.
You would think that would be a huge target theft just sitting around while your out and about
In my game Curtis isn't next to the bar.
2000 caps?
I wish newer Fallout games had an option to drive a car, getting on foot everywhere is fun but it can get repetitive. 😢
Newer fallout games also have fast travel which makes foot travel a lot less necessary
Wasn't the trunk bugged? I remember items gone missing back in the day.
Even with Sfall installed?
game so old I didnt even notice its in 360p
How much lock pick skill do I need to open the door?
I should be studying...
